Chapter 21
I'd seen a lot of nightmares but this was not going to be one of them, what D made me go through wasn't as similar as this one, this was too far from being a fantasy. It was Vicky, yes, Vicky sat beside my father, on his left rib, a clear indication that my mother had been replaced, and if not replaced, she had gotten a new co-wife.
Vicky was a long-time friend of mine since we were in college, not only a long friend but also a person who sacked me all the time and made me feel the sweetness of being a lady, from time to time In our hostel rooms. We were in the same school of Procurement, as we studied business and commerce. from Cambridge Collage, it was not known whether the two of us would ever meet after Vicky's rumor to travel to the UK travel which left my doubtful thoughts swayed away by what I just saw, and confirmed, however, I didn't want to show out that I had known Vicky for some time. I just had to keep what I saw for myself."Vicky?"I calmly, said from my heart, without making any attempt to separate my lips to open my mouth.
My heart jumped and my pulse developed a problem of stopping for a while. I stared at Vicky, stretching my hands to respond to the Wishes. "Tha.. thank you!" The words finally came out although in a struggle as I stammered!
"Uh, honey why don't you introduce me to her?" Vicky raised her head and said to Beur and with no súrprise or hesitation, stood quickly and raised his head and left arm, stretching it to hold my right hand. I felt the warmth of his hands, and the fear in his hands made it evident that he had something hidden, hands evident that he had warm blood circulating across his body, and his fingers fidgeted, he seemed to doubt what he was just about to do, but eventually took the courage.
"Jessica, this is Vicky, my new wife, and she will also take up the position of the manager in the offices. In short, she is the new manager of the company, you will have to know that from today, she will be your boss" He said.
My throat became so painful that I couldn't swallow anything anymore, I had a bad thought about my father, he had just introduced a new boss at the office, but it seemed he didn't know I was fired, or maybe he just avoided saying it. "What? and what about my position, why was I fired?" "You will have to rest, if she has fired you, then she knows what she is doing as a new manager!" He answered arrogantly.
I cried as I felt my chair warm and warm, I raised from it and held my waist with both my hands, not believing what I just heard. I held my breath, my eyes remained wide and open and I bit my lower lip against my teeth, grief arose in me and anger settled across my squeezed eyes, I lost my breath, dizziness fell to my side, and I could not feel myself anymore, I failed to hold on to my breath and I immediately went down to the floor and lost my conscience.
A few minutes later, I was up on my feet with the help of my father, and within minutes I found myself in the hands of Vicky, who held me by the neck. I had leaned my head to Vicky's right thigh, to gain his support. Vicky tried to hold my head to its natural position.
"You will have to rest" His words, alarmingly repeated at the back of my head. I thought that I was in another nightmare, it wasn't a birthday again and It just turned out to be a day of woe grief, tears, and anger.
"Let go of me, liar!" I cried I threw my weak hands in the air to have Vicky help out of me. "You betrayed me bi*tch, and you still want to do the same here?" She recklessly shouted at her as I attempted to compose my energy and quickly rose from the ground. Sitting comfortably in the chair and opposite my father on the table, I raised my eyes towards him," Well Jessica, there is something I would wish to ask, politely. After the death of Jack, do you think you will remain single like this? You are now twenty three and you are yet to get married but don't worry.
I Wish you to visit Someone, here-" he said, his words were not less than a monster, he had his phone between his fingers as he showed me a picture of the person he newly proposed to me dad, he did not hold any of his words back neither did he think of them. "What? Do you still think I‘ll get married to that cowered? That old guy ?" I yelled and cried at him. I moved my eyes back to him again, who was still and undelivered and he watched over me as I raised my voice at him. "Whether you like it or not! You will get married to him besides, he is a good guy!" He insisted and stood quickly and made a few steps to approach me. He held up my right hand.
"Ooh poor little girl, this day has been a tough one, but don't you Worry, Come...come and rest, there is a room prepared for you! " He softly said, "But before that have a drink" Vicky quickly cut him and handed me a drink. I wasn't sure if I wanted to even take a sip, but I had to. I was thirsty and wanted a drink for all I had gone through that day. He insisted that I should take the drink. I quickly poured it into my mouth.
