Ace leads me to where the group is off to the side of the yard having a beer. I see the guys I was looking at before taking him all in. Well, I can take my eyes off of him now. He has one bunny on his arm and one on his lap. No matter how good looking he is he isn’t worth my attention. But damn if he isn’t even better looking up close. Chiseled jaw, tan skin like he works outside a lot. And that face would make nuns give up their vows of celibacy.
Ace introduced me to a bunch of prospects that I will never remember their names. I congratulated Ratchet. He looked so proud of his vest. The gorgeous man I had my eye on before I saw the bunnies hanging off of him is called Lug Nut. I can hear moans coming from multiple different directions.Remember when I said people show who they really are when they can let their walls down. Well I'm definitely getting a show. One guy has a bunny up against the fence fucking her right into the wood. Looks painful. But from the noises she is making she doesn’t care. There is another guy getting a blowjob. These men are no more than animals. Since I have had years of practice I’m able to hide my disgust and hold my tongue. I don’t want to insult Ace. This is his world. A bunny has pushed her way in between me and Ace who was glued to my side until a second. She giggles, wrapping her arm around Ace’s waist. “ Ace, did you have to bring a stuck up prude to the club? They ruin all the fun.She’s not even part of the club. But these two look like they would be fun. Why don’t you drop her and let me take care of you properly.” pointing to Callen and Finn.
I have finally reached my limit of disrespect. Callen and Finn must see it because they take a step back. They would never hurt a woman. But I have no problem. They will just have my back in case one of the club decides to step in. Before anyone can blink I have pulled my gun that was strapped to my thigh and it is now pointed to the middle of her forehead. I hear several murmurs and gasps and ‘oh shit’ I am past caring. I may look sweet, innocent and weak but I am anything but. I let my Irish temper loose and growl “ I’m sick of you wastes of space insulting me. I have held my tongue out of respect for Ace but that stops now. I have already warned you I don’t tolerate disrespect .” I look around to make sure I’m being heard loud and clear. I look back at the girl who has tears running down her face looking around for anyone to help her. Callen and Finn have their guns out ready “ You are very lucky you belong to Ace. If you spoke to me like that in my world I would have strung you up and cut your tongue out with a rusty butter knife.” I cock my gun “ Then I would sow your venomous trap shut so you would never use it again.”
And because I just can't stop, I push the gun so it is digging into her forehead hard enough to leave a mark, her eyes are bulging out of her head. I force her to get on her knees where she belongs “ As for my men, they have more respect for themselves than play with worn out toys that should have been thrown out a long time ago such as you. And definitely not out in the open like they have no respect. And are loyal to me and value their jobs so they wouldn’t so much as lay a finger on the likes of you. If you ever so much as look at me or my men again I will personally sow all your holes shut so you will be even more worthless than you are now.”
I pull my gun back and put it back in the holster no one knew I had. Finn hands me an antibacterial wipe to clean my hands. Who knows what kind of filth she may have. “ Are you going to let her get away with that? She is a guest. Not club. She can’t treat me like that. She can’t threaten me.” “ Finn.” is all I say and she has another gun pointed at her.Still no one moves so I answer “ Aye I’m not club.I’m worse. And you aren’t worth a hit being placed on their heads for helping you. At least they are smart enough for that..” I look Ace in the eye when I say” I would rather die than be part of this family if I have to put up with disgrace, disrespect and lack of loyalty. I came in with no judgment on my part and an open mind but I sure didn’t get it from you. You didn’t even have enough respect for me to introduce me as your daughter.” I hear several gasps from the crowd watching but don’t dare to step in.” I was just a guest. I will return the favor. You are an embarrassment as a father and I don’t need you. Don’t contact me again. I don’t want this kind of filth anywhere near me. There's no telling what kind of diseases they may have.”
I know that hurt him but at this point I’m done with this place. The adrenaline from that encounter is wearing off and it is taking a toll. I feel very tired now. “ Callen I would like to leave now” He takes one elbow and Finn the other so we can leave. I look over at the girl who is still on the ground “ Oh by the way. In case you think it was an empty threat. My name is Princess Ailee O’Sullivan.” If possible she gets even paler. She knows she crossed the wrong person.
On our way out no one moves. All the fecking and blow jobs have stoppped and everyone just watches us leave. Viper, Axel, Rowdy and Merigold are at the door that leads to the club and the only way out. “ I refuse to apologize. We are leaving now. You have no worries about our return. I have no desire to return to a place that treats family members like that. But I see now that it only applies to me. You have my word as an O’ Sullivan we won’t be back. And out of respect for the kindness you have shown me I wouldn’t have this place burnt to the ground and your people killed.” I purposely left Ripley off to hurt Ace. Petty yes. Right now I feel like it is my right. Merigold hugs me “ Are you sure? We just met you. I barely got a chance to get to know you.” she sniffs. I swear I can hear the tears in her voice. I pull back “ Perhaps it is for the best.” I say. I look at Axel and Rowdy but speak loudly so I know Ace can hear me from where I left him. Axel and Rowdy have two precious little girls so I direct what I have to say to them.
“ Where I come from fathers protect their daughters from everything and everyone. They
don’t stand by while they are being disrespected and insulted. Parents should always put their children before all others. I know my ma did. You never know how long you have each other for.” Merigold has tears in her eyes. Axel and Rowdy nod acknowledging they got the message. But they aren’t looking at me. They are glaring at something over my shoulder. Just before we walk out I say one last thing “ It's truly good to meet you cousins. If you ever need anything while I’m here. Please feel free to reach out.” Viper hugs me and whispers in my ear “ You ever need you need us call me. You are our family cousin.”
We get in the car and I make it to the gates before the tears fall. Callen holds me close while I let out all my disappointment and heartbreak. I got my hopes up to have a relationship with my father but I know now it was just a childhood dream that I should have let go long ago. It isn’t worth my heart breaking.
