CHAPTER 10

"Uh... so you guys are talking about something here?" she asked while looking around until her eyes stopped at me.

"Yeah and your husband ruined it. Get him and leave my territory as soon as possible, Ria." I didn't budge to look at her after I said that.

my patience with Orion will run out soon. He didn't even think twice before spouting his useless words. I didn't think he would say that either, I didn't expect it because I thought he could help me with the problem I was facing but I think Orion is even more of a problem for me now.

When I got out, I went straight to Shiena's clinic, knowing that's where the she-wolves brought that man. Neither the Pack Warriors nor the others saw him because there is a secret passage that connects from my house to Shiena's clinic. I need to do that for myself, and now that's just not for me.

I followed the smell coming from that man, its just a faint scent that almost disappeared in the air, but luckily it hasn't disappeared yet. When I finally got into the clinic, I was quickly greeted by a she-wolf on guard and she told me where her room was. I nodded to him and immediately thanked him.

When I went up I walked towards a private room, I just stopped because I saw Shiena coming out of a room. The woman seemed to notice me so she stopped and looked in my direction. Her eyes are telling me that she's mad and I understand it, and that's also the reason why I got here to talk to her.

"Shiena—"

"Are you dumb or a fucking idiot, Alec?" I immediately closed my eyes because of what she said.

Yeah she's literally mad at me.

"I'm sorry—"

"Sorry? Do you think your sorry can put all the words Orion said back in his mouth? Not Alec." He suddenly grabbed his head and looked in another direction. "And you force me to tell them everything about him. Do you think what will happen if everyone knows about that information? Are you ready to face it? You know your friends, Alec."

"I trust them."

"But don't ask me to trust them because I don't. You're the only one I trust, Alec. You're the Alpha here and you were supposed to protect your people."

"I know—"

"So you understand do you? Why I'm mad and why I'm not happy to tell that son of a bitch about his information and condition because he'll let you know that that's the reality about them, but in fact, were in a reality too that we, help, that young guy 2 days ago." Shiena explained to me. "And Felix already told me that he was not part of those Omega's who runaway from that place. I hope you made up your mind, Alec. I'm more than happy to know if you decide to let him stay here, so that I can monitor him and we can help him to find his home and we can take him there."

I took a deep breath from what Shiena told me. She's right. I just don't want to admit to myself first that he is not among the Omegas who fled that place and I trust Felix and David for that.

I nodded at Shiena. "I'll think about it. It's not an easy task but I'll assure you that young guy can get enough help from us."

I suddenly looked at Shiena when she bent down and her right hand firmly held my clothes after hearing what I said. She made up her mind that quickly, I understand her. So I want to make up my mind too as soon as possible.

"Thank you, Alec." She said in a low voice.

I tapped her shoulder and from there I saw someone standing behind her, and from that, I saw him standing at the door and looking at us. When I saw his face again, my face softened. I didn't see any scars or anything on his face and I could clearly see his pair of beautiful blue eyes.

Suddenly, my heart beat faster and I swallowed immediately. Fuck? What the hell is this?

"Get close to him. But hide your scent, he hasn't recovered from what happened earlier and it will be more difficult for him to recover if he feels heavy pressure from an Alpha again. Talk to him for now, I need to do something."

"Okay."

She tapped my shoulder and after that she left me there. I was left standing and just looking at him. I can't think of what to do next especially since he just stares at me and doesn't speak. So before I could not decide what to do, I immediately walked towards him.

And when I stopped in front of him, he looked at me with those innocent blue eyes. I know. His eyes captivated me. Fuck. I feel like I can't get tired of staring at him all day or all night.

"So... uhm are you fine now? I'm sorry for what happened earlier I caused you a lot of trouble." Those were the first words I said because those were the only words I could say to him.

I don't know how to calm myself now that he is in front of me again. Words come to my mind that I have to protect him no matter what happens. And this is me, like I'm dumbfounded in front of him.

He nodded to me and bowed. "W-where is she going?"

My eyes widened when I heard his voice. I feel excited to hear it again even though I talked to him yesterday. It's like I'm still not satisfied especially since Orion hurt him earlier. I gritted my teeth because of that thought.

"W-who? Is it Shiena?" I asked and he nodded again and looked at me.

My heart seemed to stop beating when he looked at me. He was like a puppy looking at his owner. Fuck. How can I calm my fucking heart if he looked at me like that?

"She has something else to do so she left immediately." I answered while still staring at him.

"Why?"

"What, why?"

"Why would she leave and then leave you here?"

"Because... she's going to do something?" I asked him in wonder.

"But you must be with her or with you wherever she goes."

"Hmm... we're not like that. Actually we need to do our errands with ourselves so that we can focus."

"Isn't she afraid that you're not with her?" I stopped when he asked me that. I already had a hint where our conversation was going, but I didn't understand it yet.

"Hmm? Why?"

"Because isn't she your girlfriend?"

The side of my lips rose up when he asked me that, at the same time I bit my lower lip while looking at him.

"So you're saying that she was my girlfriend?" he nodded.

I can't stop smiling even though nothing is funny about what's going on right now. I know a lot of people inside of this territory asking me or asking Shiena if we are in that kind of relationship but... were not. We are just friends and she's not my type, and I'm not her type either.

But I don't know why I'm glad he's asking me. I'm glad he asks me those kind of things.

"Why are you smiling? Is something funny?" he asked innocently.

I covered my mouth with my hand while looking at him. A wide smile automatically appeared on my lips because of his question, at the same time I felt relieved because I saw that he is fine now.

I just saw him frown so I removed my hand from my mouth and cough to let him know that I was going to answer his question. "So I can answer your question," I leaned forward and I like it when he didn't flinch. "Doctor Shiena is just a very close friend of mine." And I backed away after I said that. "She was just a little devil sister to me, nothing more, nothing less."

After I answered his question, he stared at me for a few seconds before speaking again. "So you mean she's not your girlfriend?"

"Yeah."

"So who is your girlfriend?" That question made me smile again. He is also naughty.

"I don't have that right now. Do you have any questions?"

"Hmm... didn't you ask me earlier if I was alright?" I nodded. "You? Are you alright?"

"Me? Yeah, I'm good. Don't worry about me."

"But... earlier I saw the man throw you... who choked me earlier. The wall broke and then you fell all the way down from the second floor." there's a worried look on his face.

And before I could answer him I sensed something on our surroundings so I immediately pushed him to enter the room.

"W-wait what are you—"

"Don't worry. I need to check something so wait here." After I said that I closed the door in front of me.

I walked through the window in front of the room and saw some of the Pack Warriors that were currently checking the building. I'm not the Alpha who immediately thinks of something but I feel really strange around me right now. Something's wasn't right.

I leaned from the front window of the room and the elevator that was just near where I was standing. I mindlink on Felix, I asked him if everything is all right and he said yes, and he reported to me that the Luna and Alpha of the West left a while ago. I nodded and said that if there is a problem, they will tell me right away.

I feel something really strange and I don't like it.

I immediately left standing at the window and knocked on the door. "It's me." After I said that the door opened and I saw the worry on his face as he looked at me.

"Hi." He stepped back so I could step inside so I closed the door as well.

"Hello. Is there a problem outside?" he asked me.

I smiled and shook my head at him. I don't want him to think that there's something wrong. Something happened to him earlier so I don't want to add to that. And I know that Shiena will be angry with me again when she finds out that I did something wrong, I don't want to be scolded by that girl again.

"But that's not what I notice about you?" he answered me and then I looked out the window inside the room. I sniffed the air but could smell nothing but the faint scent coming from this place, his faint scent.

"There's nothing wrong. You don't have to worry." I smiled at him. I want him to trust me.

He nodded while looking at me. He sat on the edge of the bed so I walked to a chair with a distance from him and sat there. I made myself comfortable when he turned to me.

"Hmm? You want to ask something?"

"Can you... tell me that big black animal that came from you earlier?"

My eyes widened after that. I didn't expect that he saw my wolf, Nebula.

"You want... to know about my wolf? Do you think that it's dangerous to know about him?"

"Why? Is it... wrong to ask?"

"No."

"Then it's okay?"

"No. It's just... It's complicated." I smiled.

"Complicated? Oh... sorry. I didn't know it was so complicated. But... I'll just ask again."

"Wait... wait if I am the one to ask you?" He was stunned.

I want to ask his name, age, where he came from and who owned him. But... I know it takes time to know all of that. I won't get tired because I have to gain his trust first.

"Kind of questions like... what is my name?" I was surprised and stunned. So he already knows that's what I can ask him?

"Well. Yes. Are you expecting it?" And then he nodded. He looked at me like he was open to those questions.

"It won't be long before you'll be asking my name, Alpha Alec. So I'll introduce myself to you." He sat up and bowed at me a little.

"I'm Ken Ian Dizon, an Omega." And a small smile appeared on his lips.

When I stared into his blue eyes again I felt like he was... for me?

No. It's... wrong and I don't want to admit that. He was an Omega, and he was destined to someone else. But I felt a pain on my chest after thinking about that. I must be going crazy. Yes. I'm crazy.
