CHAPTER 18
"Why do we have to talk here when we can just go to your house?" Timothy complained after we arrived at William's big pack house, the Alpha of the North.
I didn't say anything and just closed the door of my car because the three of us with Orion had almost arrived.
I told them that we had something important to talk about, they asked what it was and why we had to go to the North just for the talk I was talking about. I just didn't speak again and left them waiting on the other line.
I thought they wouldn't go as I thought especially since they didn't seem to have any intention of going even if I forced them. But well, they're here already. They also want to know what I need to say.
We just entered the big pack house of the Dark Twilight Pack, led by William and one of the strongest packs of werewolves in Vinizia City. That can't be denied because of the size and good pack house that Dark Twilight has.
When we entered, the Omegas and Pack Warriors were immediately lined up on both sides of the door. Omega's, William buys them from the outskirts to give them a job for a living inside his territory. They will no longer experience the cruelty of those werewolves who much more powerful from them.
William and his wife are also protecting them.
"You have arrived." Queen said as she turned to us, she's from the kitchen.
She was holding a cup of wine, she smiled at us until her eyes turned to mine.
"Alec. What are we going to talk about and everyone is here? You're surprising me. I wasn't prepared for your arrival." she said sweetly at us.
Well, William's wife is like a sweetest of all women out there. But because she speaks so sweetly, it's annoying. We all feel sorry for her.
So I wasn't even surprised when Orion and I saw Timothy walk up to William's wife and immediately put his arms around her like a troop. He pulled her into a room where the four of us would talk.
The Alpha of the North, William. The Alpha of the South, Timothy. The Alpha of the West, Orion. And I, the Alpha of the East.
When we went inside, we found William already sitting in his usual chair. We didn't wait any longer and sat down in our respective seats. Timothy was left with William's wife still on his arm, and the next thing we saw was the evil look that William gave to our colleague.
"Are you serious? Can't I hug my best friend?" Timothy growled at William.
But Alpha ng North only made a low growl for Timothy to completely let go of his wife.
I just shook my head and watched my friend sit in an empty seat at the end, frowning because of what William did to him. Queen walked out of the room after. There is a rule we follow when we talk about something important, no one else should be in the room we are in but only us, no one else can hear or see.
When we felt that everyone's ready, William looked at me and nodded.
"I know that this news is not for other packs like yours. But what happened today is not normal for me too." my introduction "One of my people buy silver particles and other things with silver to a particular stranger outside of my territory."
After I said those words, their eyes suddenly glowed. What I told them was a totally bad news.
"Then what happened to your people who bought those?" asked by Orion and then I turned to him.
"My warriors are currently punishing them, in a dark cell, where they deserve to be put into." I said still looking at him.
I don't know if they understand what I'm saying or not.
"Does that mean you are giving us a warning about the strangers who have given silver to your people?" Timothy asked, making me nod.
"This is not about my territory, this news is also about you, your people and your territory too. I did not prepare for something like this to happen inside of my territory, so as long as you can prepare for this scenario, there's no pack warriors will turn away from you as an Alpha and leader of the pack they belong to."
After I said that, I looked at the four of them in their glowing eyes. When I started to become the leader of the Dark Moon Pack, I promised myself that I would do everything to provide the protection and needs of my people. Promises my father never made when he was stull alive.
But I never thought that such things would come in my life, being a leader of their pach. It never occurred to me that this would happen so whenever possible, if I could warn my other three friends about this, I would.
I don't want what happened to me and the pack warriors who turned away from their leader to happen to them. Especially Nina. Because of what happened to them with David, she... changed a lot.
I can't help but be sad, knowing that Nina literally did that to herself. It's... too bad and its too painful to see.
"Alec, are these strangers you speak of related to the outbreak that took place in Timothy's territory?"
Orions question quickly grabbed my attention. I looked at Timothy and his eyes widened after he heard what Orion said.
"Well, there's a possibility that they're the ones who did that. But I still don't have any leads if it's them. I need to find more clues and if I found them, I will let you know so we can plan how to take them down."
---
"Alec." I heard William called me.
Orion and Timothy were the first to leave the room when I turned to William. He was still sitting and looking at me. His eyes were serious which surprised me.
"Do you have something to say?"
"I learned that an Omega male has wandered into your territory. How is he?" he asked again.
"He's fine, William."
"Aren't you having a hard time with him?"
I thought that also. I know that William's heart is close to the Omegas, especially that his mother was also an Omega. But in the question he dropped, it was as if there was a different meaning or hint that I didn't like.
"He is safe by my side, William. Do not doubt my leadership."
But he smiled afterwards which is... weird. "I'm not questioning your leadership, Alec. I just want to know if you don't have a hard time with him. He's an omega, and it's hard to trust the likes of us, Alphas and those above them especially that many of them, and where they come from... families with bad foundations. They tend to think that they're useless, worthless and the only way to end their suffering is through death. I hope, that Omega, found peace with you."
I returned to my territory with William's words still in my mind. William is a quiet and reliable friend, among the four of us, he is the one I look up to as our leader because he has the qualities of a good leader.
But hearing those kinds of words from him is refreshing. Because he is not that kind of friend. He was like, calm and collected. When the car arrived at the big gate of my territory, I heard Shiena's long sigh in my mind.
*"Finally you have come!"*
"Shiena, I've only been gone for two hours. Why do you seem so tired all of a sudden?"
*"Because it's really tiring!"*
I immediately frowned at what she said so I immediately went straight to the pack house. When I got out of the car, Shiena was just outside looking at me very badly.
Felix was with her, scratching his neck, a sign that he couldn't say no to any offer Shiena wanted to make.
What happened again?
"What? It's good and you've thought about going home?" It seems that its two ears are burning with anger.
That was the first thing she said when I finally got close to her and Felix.
"I just arrived, Shiena. Is that how you opened up to me right away?"
"Oh, why? I'm not allowed to do it? Do you know Ken tired me out?! I'm so tired that I want to punch you!" She said while her whole face is like.a bomb, ready to blow out.
I raised an eyebrow at what she said.
"What did you just say? Ken tired you out? Why? What did he do?" I asked one question after another because I couldn't help but think badly about what was happening right now.
Ken is still a man and Shiena is a woman. I don't think I'll erase this conclusion inside my head about what shit happened to the two of them.
Until I found out from Shiena herself why she is complaining to me now.
Ken, wants to know what it feels like to be outside. In Ken's few weeks living in the pack house, I haven't been able to take him around the entire Dark Moon Pack, so I know he'll be curious and get into his head to find out what's outside of the Dark Moon Pack.
And that's why Shiena is complaining to me now. Ken didn't stop, they went to the places he wanted to go according to the stories she told him. They had other people with them during the tour because they were comforted by his smile and laughter, especially the happiness they saw in the man's blue eyes.
It's unique... and beautiful.
Until Shiena finished talking, I couldn't help but grin. I just realized that Shiena got tired just to accompany Ken to do what he wanted while I was gone. The woman also constantly hit me and punched me because I looked like a fool smiling in front of her while she was talking.
I'm smiling because somehow she didn't leave Ken alone while I was away, they both had something to worry about while I was in the North.
Shiena just frowned when she finished complaining to me. I looked at Felix who was silently watching our friend complaining in front of me.
"How are they?"
"Worst than ever, Alpha. Still, Nina and the others don't want to speak about what happened."
Well, I already look forward to it. They won't just release information about strangers they bought silver particles from outside my territory. Until they lose their breath they will not dare to do so.
"How is David?"
"He was complaining that he wanted to get out of his room." Shiena answered, stopping me. "David's stubborn, Alec. Tell him not to be so annoying. He's not completely healed yet because silver is not a small thing for us. It's what's going to kill us, and that thing is even more deadly when it gets inside our bodies. We are werewolves, but we're not immortals."
After she said that, she left Felix and me. I already know the reason why David is acting like that and that is because of Nina. The unfaithful woman still has a place in his life and I will not be able to order him to forget the woman he loved.
If only I could command him and force him not to do what is the best, I would have done it a long time ago. But no.
"Felix,"
"Do you have any orders, Alpha?"
"Order five pack warriors and tell them to guard every gate at the end of our territory. Later at night, we will do something." I ordered him.
He immediately nodded, I followed to leave to go to my room. But I just stopped when I noticed that I was in front of Ken's room. I just... want to see him and after that, I'll go to my room and then plan my next steps.
I slowly opened the room and what I saw was Ken sleeping soundly in his bed. A while ago he was awake when I left, now it is fast asleep.
I watched him until I remembered what William had told me about people like him.
*"I hope that Omega found peace with you."*
I know Ken will find his peace inside of my territory.
