Epilogue

**Harvey’s POV**

I jutted down the stairs, adjusting the sleeves of my blazer as I went. I snuck a look at the time from my watch and saw that was already late. I shrugged it off. Ethan still hadn’t arrived to pick me up so I could always blame him. The thought gave me some wicked satisfaction. In the past three years, Ethan and I became best friends and at the age of eighteen, we were bonded.

“And just where are you off to?” I peered up and saw mom sitting on the sofa. She smiled at me and I walked over.

“Just a party with Ethan.” I sat next to her carefully eyeing her enormous belly. She was due any day now and pretty soon I would have a brother or sister. She rested her hand on her stomach and she rubbed gently.

“Are there going to be girls at this party?” she eyed me and I couldn’t help but smirk.

“Naturally.” I responded good humoured and her eyes widened. I threw my head back and laughed. “Don’t worry I am always safe.” I tried to put her mind at ease but she smacked me playfully on the arm.

“I would you prefer you to refrain from anything that requires you to be safe.” She advised a scowl on her face.

“You worry too much.” I teased as I placed my arm around her shoulder. She rolled her eyes playfully. “It’s my job.” She responded.

“Or the hormonal imbalance.” I teased and she shot me a deadly look.

“I can’t wait to see you be this cocky with your sister, she will have you wrapped around her finger.” She threatened and I didn’t doubt it. I was in anticipation for the baby to arrive.

“Wait? Sister? You found out the sex?” I questioned excitedly and she nodded.

“So instead of a brother to influence you will have a sister to take to parties with you instead.” She joked.

“Parties?” I questioned. I lowered my gaze to her stomach. “You will be confined to your room until the age of thirty or until I die.” I warned. I was not allowing my sisters to be meat for the men in this generation.

“Hypocrite.” Mom labelled and I laughed. I guess I was.

“Where is dad?” I questioned.

“Phone call from uncle Scott.” He will be back in a bit. “You will want to let him know you’re leaving.” She replied and I shook my head. I had time, Ethan was so late.

“Where are you going?” Both mom and I turned where dad emerged eying me curiously. He took his place next to mom on the sofa and placed a kiss on her forehead. She snuggled into him and I smiled.

“Out.” I replied and he raised his eyebrows. “Okay but be back in time for dinner.” He warned and I screwed my face at him mockingly.

“I will if only Ethan would just get here.” I complained and they laughed.

**Angela’s POV**

I laid on the sofa, my feet resting on Brad as he rubbed the swollen areas. I sighed at the pressure of his palms on my feet. I felt restless and I was growing anxious. The baby would be here any day and we were all holding our breaths. Brad chose to work at home until the baby was delivered.

“How are you feeling?” He questioned and I smiled. “I am fine.” My hand instinctively went to rest on my stomach and Brad’s hand covered mine, his eyes meshing with mine and I instantly remembered when I told him I was pregnant.

I had just gotten the report from Paul after he had insisted I take a pregnancy test during my check-up. I had informed him of my recent nausea and it had been positive. My excitement was boundless so I had decided to go to Brad directly.

I pulled up in front of his building and swallowed back my hesitance. If I didn’t tell him now I would never have the courage to again. I walked in and greeted his assistant, she shooed me into his office.

Brad eased out of his chair and strode towards me, he placed a lingering kiss on my forehead as the door closed behind us. He walked us further inside. He leaned against his desk, his arms crossed at his chest. My breath caught, he was so beautiful.

“What do I owe this pleasure to?” He drawled, his eyes darkening and my body quivered as I remembered our lovemaking just this morning. I had no idea how to say what I had to and I had the uncanny feeling that if I tried to make small talk before I would lose the true intentions I had.

“I am pregnant.” I blurted and blinked back a curse. It was to rushed but it was out.

“What?” Brad leaned closer as if he didn’t hear me.

“Hmm?” I sounded nervously as I studied the emotions flickering in his eyes.

“Y-you’re pregnant?” He seemed to seek confirmation. I dared not speak so I nodded. For a while his face remained blank and I was unsure of his reaction and my body shook in anticipation.

But then he smiled and snaked his arms around my waist and pulled me flush against him. “That is the most amazing news.” He related as his lips found mine in a celebratory kiss. Our lips moved in a flawless synchronization as his hands trailed to my zip.

I snapped out of my remembrance as the most unusual sensation washed through me. I straightened and clasped my stomach.

“What is it?” Brad straightened to and he gazed at me cautiously.

“The baby is coming.” I replied through gasps of laughter.

**Brad’s POV**

I sat at our kitchen table, coffee in hand as I looked on at Angela feeding our baby. It was four months since Eva was born and she brought more joy to a home that had its fill. Now our bliss was immeasurable. I smiled as Harvey took over feeding her. It was fulfilling to have children and I considered myself lucky to have such a family.

“You seemed dazed.” Angela observed and I pulled her onto my lap.

“I keep thinking that this is just a dream.” I whispered to her and she smiled.

“Are your dreams usually this perfect?” She questioned.

“Only when they involve you.” I answered seriously and she pressed her lips against mine.

“Whoa!” Harvey interrupted. “You two need to warn people before you do those stuff.” He teased. “I think you have just blinded Eva.” He made faces at her and she laughed.

I shook my head at him. He was incorrigibly always teasing but I was happy he was this comfortable with us. He was no longer an adoptive son and Angela and I were not adoptive parents. Our relationship was as legit as it could get. I had a lot to thank Harvey for; he had knock sense into me when I had stupidly asked Angela for a divorce. I shudder to think about where we all would be had it happened.

“Oh really? Need I bring up my recent visual impairment?” I threatened and he stilled.

“You wouldn’t dare.” He replied and I chuckled.

“Wouldn’t dare tell your mother about your girlfriend?” I teased and he looked at an astonished Angela.

“Girlfriend?” she gasped.

“She is not my girlfriend.” He groaned and I laughed.

“Really is that why you weren’t kissing her?” I questioned and he glared at me.

“Kissing her?” Angela gasped again. “Why didn’t either of you tell me this?”

Harvey and I shrugged and she groaned, throwing her hand in the air. “I swear living with the two you make me feel as if I live in a cave!”

“Mom.” Harvey whined. “Yes I was kissing her but she is not my girlfriend. Frankly she isn’t the girl one brings home to meet the parents. It was just a bit of fun, if I ever do have a girlfriend you will be the first to know.” He promised and this seemed to ease Angela.

“I still don’t like that you are having ‘a bit of fun’ I really hope you are being careful.” She warned and Harvey smiled at her charmingly.

“Don’t worry I am!” He turned his attention back to Eva.

I pulled her face towards me and she gazed at me cautiously. I knew she could sense the question in my eyes.

“How would you feel about us renewing our vows?” I questioned and the smile spreading across her face was priceless. He bent her head closer to mine and pressed her lips softly to mine. When she pulled away she whispered against my lips, “I shall like that very much.”
