Chapter 20 "Home"
Avery P.O.V.
I am laying on my bed with my head on the pillows reading a love story about a historical romance. About a rake and wallflower. I been doing that since I been up for hour now. I was in the part when Janie and Rod kissing under the moonlight under the stars. When suddenly I heard my phone ringing.
When my phone started ringing. I picked it up and I heard Ashely and Natalie over the phone.
"Hey, you finally answered your phone." Ashely said with a released tone in her voice.
"Oh, hey Ash, sorry I just got up hour ago. I am in my bedroom."
"Oh, okay we be over!" She said excited. I didn't want her to feel like she and Nat had to come over. So, I told her and Natalie.
"Oh, Ash and Nat you don't have to come over my house." What I really wanted to do is be by myself for now. But I didn't have to heart to say it. So instead, I said come over.
I waited for my friends to show up. When I heard Ashely yelling at someone downstairs. So, I climbed off my bed and walked out my door and started walking downstairs...
"What the hell you guys doing here!" Ashely told the people are here in my house. She not happy. I heard a growl in her voice when she asked them a question.
"Now, Ashely, be nice to our guests" They just here to see how Avery is doing." I heard my dad say.
"Yeah, right" They here to harm and hurt her." She told my dad and mom. What is going on. I having to see who is here. So, that when I walked around the corner. I spoke. Hey what's going on" I looked I saw...
Elijah P.O.V.
I and Jake was sitting in the living room talking to Avery Dad and her mom went inside the kitchen and got us something to drink and snacks. She shut a sweet lady. She my mother best friend and Avery's dad is my dad best friend and Beta. We just chatting, but we started losing time why we are here. So, I looked over at Jake. He was thinking the same thing I was. We here for business about with Avery.
That when we heard the doorbell ring. Avery's mom got up and went to the front door. She opened it and she smiled, and we see Ashely and the shy girl's name Natalie Avery friends walked through the door.
Ashely walked throw the living room walk through she stops and turned towards us. She had to anger expression on her face.
"What the hell you guys doing here!" She said to us with a growl in her voice. She not happy that we here at Avery house.
"Now, Ashely, be nice to our guests" They just here to see how Avery is doing." I heard Mr. Williams told her. She rolled her eyes at me and Jake. But she didn't look at Mr. Williams but at us with hatred in her eyes.
"Yeah, right" They here to harm and hurt her." She told Mr. Williams and Mrs. Williams.
Well, if Ashely shut up right now, we will tell them why we are here. But Ashely kept talking and yelling at us. She threated to beat me and Jake up. If we here to hurt her best friend. But why would we hurt her. If we know she, our mate. I don't blame her. I was and Jake was mean to Avery over the years. But I just a stupid kid back then. I changed now, "Well only now since you found out she your mate asshole!" Axel said.
"Oh, that not true!" I told him. But really, he was saying is true. But I didn't want him to know he was right. I rolled my eyes at him. I started paying attention to what going around me again.
"Hey what's going on" I heard Avery said. I turned my head I saw my beautiful little wallflower standing there in the doorway of the living room. I see my mom and dad, Ashely, Natalie, Jake, and Elijah sitting in my living room. What in the world they doing here? I can't move and I can't stop starring at them. Why would the two most popular guys have been sitting in my living room. If someone said Elijah Woods and Jake Stone be sitting in my living room. I say they were lying right now.
"Hey, Avery", I heard Ashely said. I see Ashely and Natalie walked towards me and they hugged me. I am hugging the girls back. Then I look behind them. I see Elijah and Jake starring at me. They are giving me a strange look. I wonder why they are here. So, Ashely not happy she kept giving them the devil stare. I would hate to be them right now.
"Ashely stops it!" I told her with a giggle. You need to be good and nice" I told her with a shake of my head with my hand covering my mouth from laughing.
"I am not going to promise anything, but I try to be good" she said with a growl. When she is starring at the guys.
"Okay now stop it!" I told her again.
"Oh alright" I stop giving them a murder stare." I turned around I see my father and mother laughing behind their hands. I rolled my eyes and giggled. I let go of my best friends. I started walking over towards the guys.
"I didn't get to thank you from earlier" So, thank you for bring me home" I told the guys. They just stared at me and nodded their heads at me.
"You're welcome" Jake said starring into my eyes. I see the care in his eyes. What I see that he cared for is me right now. I think am seeing things. Jake Stone cares for me. Yeah right. I thought.
"Now, how would you know if he doesn't care for you Avery" Angelstar said.
"Because guys like him, and Elijah Woods doesn't go after girls like me" That why I think it fake. They don't care for me." I told my wolf. She still doesn't believe they are playing me. I am glad they helped me and took me home. But why did they? And why they still here at my house. Now they know I am okay now. They should leave now.
"Well, now you know I am okay." "You don't need to stay here anymore" I told them.
"Because believe me, I am fine." So, you can leave" I told them with so much emotions. But I didn't want to show them how hurt I was by Elijah did to me at school.
