Chapter 79
Cesar took my arm, pulling me up from my seat, and held my hand tightly as he walked toward the man writhing on the floor, his nose bleeding.
"The next time you even think about laying a finger on my woman, I’ll destroy you and your worthless company. I’ll bankrupt you until there’s nothing left. Pass that message on to your boss… because I don’t forgive betrayal." Cesar turned and stormed out of the restaurant, dragging me along by the arm. I was still in shock from his words—his woman? Perhaps it was just the heat of the moment.
"I can’t walk that fast, Mr. Cesar!" I stammered nervously, unsure of what to say.
"No!" he snapped angrily. I had never seen him so agitated. When we reached the car, he opened the door and motioned for me to get in. Without a word of protest, I climbed in, trying to adjust the short dress I was wearing on the passenger seat. As he got into the car, his gaze swept over me with disapproval, and just as he was about to speak, I interrupted.
"Watch your words, Mr. Cesar… because I won’t hesitate to slap you if you insult me. If you have questions, ask them, but don’t insult me," I warned him, ready to leave the car if he crossed the line again. I no longer worked for him, so I didn’t have to endure his insults. He took a deep breath, running his hands through his hair.
"Why are you dressed like that?"
"To gather information."
"And who asked you to do that?" he shouted, making me flinch.
"I’ve already told you I won’t let you yell at me! For starters, you’re the one who suspended me without reason. I wanted to work, so I investigated the fruit issue and figured out more than all your presidents, managers, and other useless executives."
"And for that, you had to seduce that pig and put yourself in danger? What if I hadn’t arrived?"
"I would’ve kicked him where it hurts. This isn’t the first time I’ve had to deal with drunks—my grandfather taught me." He let out an exasperated sigh, and without holding back, I added, "Why don’t you let me work by your side?"
"Because I didn’t need you."
"Liar."
"What? Are you questioning my word? Since when do you have the guts to talk to your boss like this?"
"Is that what I am? Just your employee? Are you sure? Because that’s not what I heard back there." He fell silent, staring ahead, gripping the steering wheel tightly as he drove without replying.
"I’m tired of feeling confused by your words and actions. What am I to you? Tell me once and for all."
"What about my brother?"
"Your brother? I don’t know… I haven’t seen him since Puerto Rico, the place where, may I remind you, you abandoned me."
"You didn’t seem unhappy staying with him, which is why I decided to leave you two lovebirds alone."
"Listen carefully, Mr. Cesar, I’m not dating Keylef."
"Oh, I didn’t know lovebirds say goodbye with a kiss on the lips."
"So you’re admitting the reason you left Puerto Rico was because you saw us kissing and jumped to conclusions without even asking?"
"My reasons are none of your business, and whoever you kiss is completely irrelevant to me," he said, stopping the car abruptly in front of my apartment.
"If it’s irrelevant, then why bring it up? If I don’t matter to you, stop telling people I’m your woman." Surprised, I got out of the car and walked toward the complex, desperately searching for my keys.
"All women are liars; why would you be any different?"
"What’s this about now? I didn’t lie to you… and if someone fooled you into thinking that about women, it’s not my fault." I stopped to look at him for a second before blurting out, "I was such a fool to think that maybe you and I… maybe… You know what, forget it. Call me when you need me. I won’t bother you anymore." Just as I was about to push the door open, Cesar grabbed my hand and pulled me toward him, kissing me passionately and leaving me breathless. Without thinking, he pushed me inside, closing the door behind us. Unable to hold back anymore, I let my bag fall to the floor and threw myself into his arms in a fervent kiss that quickly led us to my bedroom. Cesar threw me onto the bed and, leaning over me with heavy breaths, said:
"You want me…"
"Yes, and you?"
"You have no idea…" he whispered, pulling my leg. His hands trailed over my body as he kissed my legs, moving to my most intimate places.
"Tell me you want this as much as I do," he urged.
"I do… I want it all…" I replied, desire burning within me. He smirked devilishly, slowly pulling down my panties, savoring every moment of my nakedness.
"You know I’m going to take you… and I’ll likely lose myself in the desire and need to have you entirely," he murmured. I nodded, eager, the longing inside me growing stronger.
"I know what it means, even though I’m a virgin…" I admitted softly.
"I’ll be gentle, but I promise nothing. You still have time to say no," he teased. I lifted my leg to his pants, pulling him closer. He took my leg, spread them without hesitation, and leaned down, kissing my belly button. His fingers slipped inside my wet, aching core, drawing a moan from my lips I couldn’t suppress. As he reached my neck, his movements became faster, more frantic. Just as I was about to let out a cry, he silenced me with his mouth, whispering:
"You’re already so wet, and I’ve barely started…" Without giving me a chance to respond, he devoured my mouth as I clung to the back of his neck like a lifeline in the ocean. Just as I felt a wave of electricity and unbearable heat build within me, announcing an orgasm, he stopped.
"No… why?" I protested, and a chuckle escaped his lips.
"That’s how frustrated I’ve felt, giving you pleasure, waiting, wanting…" he said, lowering his pants and revealing his nakedness.
"This time, it won’t just be you who’s satisfied… You’ll please me until I’ve had my fill of you."
