She's Scared Of Me Now

As Cassy walked into the mansion a wave of stillness plastered against her face, she wasn't hoping to meet anyone anyway the whole mansion was quiet as a graveyard. '' Yo! Is everyone still alive?'' Anna was getting married soon, so it was highly expected of her to get busy, and Lucian was not an exception. 

'' Cassy?! How have you been'' Alisa threw her arms across her shoulder, with a slight kiss on her cheek? '' Hey, Nanny Alisa, how have you been?'' Cassy smiled. '' Not bad, what's worse is that you haven't paid a visit ever since you got a job in the company'' Alisa deadpanned.

'' I'm sorry Aunt, and how have things been with you and Lucian?'' Cassy leaned against a wall in front of her cot. '' Nothing much lately, come on what does the visit brings?'' Alisa asked.

'' I missed you of course!'' Cassy rolled her eyes in exasperation. '' I miss how you take care of me, and how you treat Lucian as your own child'' Cassy's cheek widened into a smile. 

'' I love that, eaten yet? '' She asked. '' Oh no Aunt, I'm fine I just came to say hello, because it's been a while '' Cassy grinned.

'' And how is Lucian's wife? I hope you two do well?'' Cassy's lips curled, as she conveyed Alisa's expression. '' Why the look aunt?'' Cassy's heart leapt in position, just when she thought everyone was on Anna's side. 

'' Nothing really'' she forced a smile. '' I think she doesn't seem to like Anna just as I don't? Uhm''. Cassy raised her brow speaking to herself. 

'' Aunty, would you by any chance know what Anna is up to?'' Alisa tore her gaze off the window. '' What is that, have you met Anna?'' her brow curved, she seemed as though surprised. '' Sure, have you forgotten I work in the same company as Lucian? So I'd see Lucian's wife, Anna'' Cassy sat on the bed.

'' Oh__really?'' her eyes dilated as she nodded.  '' What is it?'' Alisa asked curiously. '' Well she asked for Lucian's parent's photos, I wonder what she wants with it'' Cassy focused her gaze on her fingernails.

'' Photos!! It's high time I put her in her place'' Alisa yelled, drawing Cassy's attention. She dropped her legs to the ground and appeared behind Alisa. '' What do you mean to put her in her place aunt? You also don't like Cassy too?'' Cassy was praising her God already.

'' Uhm not really, can't just wait for her to leave Lucian's life'' she rolled her eyes. '' Wait, leave? But she is getting married to Lucian??'' Cassy quite haven't understood what was going on. 

Alisa shot a glare at her and then smiled, an unpleasant smile. '' It's all a pretence'' Alisa spat. '' What?? What do you mean it was all a pretence'' She was clueless about what to say. 

''His aim is to do what the old man wants, and not to get married to that gold digger, snitch!'' she said through closed teeth.  '' Wow, wow Lucian never told me, he acts like a true husband, he supports her in everything and even fights for her! Can you imagine he forced me to apologise to her!'' Cassy was irritated.

'' Sorry Cassy, I believe he didn't mean it, it's all his plans'' Alisa pulled her cheek slightly. '' So what do we do about this girl, I have become a friend to her. She is such a stupid girl, could you believe she easily accepted me as a friend'' Cassy said.

'' I didn't expect less from her, she thinks she is smart, what a foolish girl!'' Alisa hissed. '' Cassy, get her the photos!'' Alisa bit her lips, devising up another plan.

'' Pardon?''.  '' Yes you heard me right, we will make Lucian hates her more! And I know she won't be able to bear the shock when she finds out, and then I would have peace of mind'' Alisa grinned.

'' Okay, I would do as you say'' Cassy smiled. '' Aunt I would be on my way now, you have to take care okay?'' Cassy kissed her on her cheek before running off.

Anna coughed up, which attracted Lucian's attention he has been sitting on the bed for the past hours, hating on himself, worried about Anna.  

Anna's innocent eyes slowly dilated, she pulled up from the bed, seeing Lucian leaning beside her. '' Anna? How do you feel?'' He peeked at the mark on her neck, that moment he felt his intestine curl up, and twisted.

'' Y__ yes, are you fine? Do you feel okay?'' Anna attempted to touch him but she drew her hands backwards. '' She was hurt, how could she be worried about me?'' his heart sank to his gut. 

'' I'm sorry, I didn't know what took over me'' he frowned, he hate himself for doing that, he felt he deserved to be beaten mercilessly for you doing such a ridiculous thing.  '' It's fine, it's not your fault'' Anna's eyes were full of tears.

'' It's my fault I did this to you'' he said. '' Where are we?'' Anna looked around. She saw other patients by her sides and drip attached to her hands. 

'' Let's go home, I hate here'' Anna flinched, the scent of an hospital reminded her of her mom who died of a terrible illness, she hated the place called hospital, after she lost her mom. 

'' We are leaving soon, the doctor has to cheek on you again, before leaving'' Lucian said.  '' This is why you have to leave my life, Anna, you can't cope, you can't stay with me, you would get hurt!'' he fought the battles in his mind.

'' Let me heal you, let me heal your pains, you don't deserve that suffering'' Anna cries in her heart, as she stares at the confusion in his eyes.

Yula and the guards did the shopping instead. Anna was discharged from the hospital, according to the doctor it was something not serious at all. Anna didn't say any more to Lucian on their way home, even when they arrived home she said no words to him, and her silence was making him go insane, he kept on staring at her, but Anna wouldn't say a word.

She behaves as if he was part of the designs in the room, talking with him wouldn't solve anything, she needs to find something that would make him not doubt in his heart, rather he would cry and say ''mom I'm sorry, forgivee me dad''.

'' Why isn't she talking to me? She is not even looking at my face'' he mumbled within himself, as he watched her from the corner of his eyes, from the bedside. '' Fuck! I scared her, she is scared of me. Does she think of me as a monster now? Yes, she probably does'' his heart was distressed. He couldn't withstand her not glimpsing at him for once, since they got home!  Just at least for a second would save him from killing himself, and having sleepless night.
