Chapter 10.

(Freya's POV)

After the party, I returned home and my friend Daisy came as I requested. She's a good friend who's been with me all this time who always helps me and listens to my every complaint if I have a problem that I'm facing. But she didn't know the truth that I was an alien and not a human. But I love her from of my heart.

"So, you met your ex-husband at the party you organized?" Daisy asked. She looked surprised to hear my story. We were currently in my room while Sia and Gia were already sleeping in their rooms.

"Yes. I was a little surprised to see him there."

"He deliberately came to your party when he wasn't invited just to meet you, Freya. Is it possible that he's been looking for you all this time? He's sorry for being bad to you and wants to atone for all the sins he's committed," Daisy explains.

I snorted in annoyance at Daisy's nonsense. It's impossible because Ash has never had feelings for me and never will. He hates me.

"Don't talk nonsense, Daisy. I've already told you that we got divorced because Ash cheated on me. He even told me to abort my pregnancy because he hated me so much," I told her. And she looked surprised as she recalled the story I had told her.

"Yes, that's true. I still feel annoyed by his bad attitude toward you and would love to beat him up. He's not a gentleman because he can't respect his wife. Even though you guys didn't get married for love, at least he shouldn't do that to you. Especially to the point of telling you to abort your pregnancy." I could see the anger in Daisy's eyes. As a friend, she did not like seeing me hurt by someone and came to the forefront to defend me.

"I will never forgive him for what he did to me in the past, Daisy. Never," I said.

"But, how did he come to your party when it was a private party that only people you invited came to?" Daisy asked with a curious expression.

"He came because his company is having a crisis. I know that some clients are not working with his company and chose to work with my company. That's why he came to the party because he knew that I would be there," I told her.

"But, before that, did he know that you were the CEO of the company?"

"Not," I replied while shaking my head. "When we met, he was surprised that I was the CEO. I had no problem with our meeting, but Sia and Gia, I'm afraid he did something bad. They've met, I don't know what he'll do in the future. It makes me uneasy, Daisy."

"Then what did he say when he met Sia and Gia?" Daisy's facial expression turned frantic. I felt her hand grip tighten.

"He asked if they were his children."

"Then what did you answer?"

"I said that they weren't her children. That I had a boyfriend and it was our child. Luckily Eric was around, so I asked him to pretend to be my boyfriend. I was grateful that Eric was willing to help me during the party. So I felt a little relieved when facing Ash," I explained.

"Gosh, I can't figure it out. How did he still dare to ask about Sia and Gia when he once told you to abort your pregnancy? What a jerk!" snapped Daisy.

"I just need to be careful again if I meet him, but I hope I don't meet him again because I don't want to deal with him," I said.

Because I've lived my human life well and I have to finish my duty on Earth and return to my planet together with Sia and Gia.

"How about you use Eric so that Ash doesn't dare come near you again? Make sure he stays away from your life. And you, don't let yourself be fooled by him again. Don't fall in love with him again and make the same mistake for the second time, Freya."

"I won't, Daisy. You just relax."

I felt so relieved that I had talked to Daisy about Ash. And just like she told me, I would never let Ash interfere with my life again. Especially to the point of bothering my kids or hurting them. Because I will never let him.

As I walked Daisy to the door and was about to head back to my room, I heard my cell phone ring. My forehead furrowed as I saw an anonymous person calling me.

"Who's calling me at this time of night?" I asked as I stared at my phone screen in confusion.

I decided to accept the call to know who was calling me and that it might be important. But as I pressed the green button on my phone screen, I was surprised to hear Ash's voice from the other side of the line.
"It's me, Ash," he said in his heavy voice.

"Where did you get my number? And what are you calling me for?!" I exclaimed in an irritated tone.

"It's not difficult to get your number."

"Stop interfering with my life, Ash," I threatened.

"I'm not interfering in your life, Freya," he said.

"Yes, you did!" I shouted.

I clenched both my fists in a burst of anger

"Tell me, are they my children?"

I widened my eyes in surprise. "Wha-What?"

"I know they are my daughter, right?"

"Don't talk nonsense, Ash. They are my children with Eric. I've got a boyfriend and stop bothering me. And just so you know, your child, I aborted them like you asked four years ago!"

He was silent for a while.

"Are you sure you're not lying to me?"

"Why would I lie? You're not important at all. Stop bothering me or my children. Because I'm not going to let it slide!" I snapped and immediately ended our phone call.

I was breathing heavily because I was angry. My hands were clenched into tight fists. Fear overwhelmed me. I couldn't let this continue. I had to do something...

The next morning, I rushed to the office. My secretary said that there was someone who wanted to see me. And asked me to meet her in the lobby.

"Who?" I asked her.

"Someone named Ash, Miss Freya. Should I send him away or..."

"Ash?" my lips suddenly twitched. I didn't know how to react because you were too surprised to find Ash in the office.

"Miss Freya? Are you okay?" she asked with a worried look.

"Oh, uh, yes, I'm fine." I gasped.

"So, Miss Freya, are you going to see him or do I need to get security to get them out of here?"

I was silent for a while, I had promised to discuss work matters with him. And maybe this is the best way that Ash won't bother me anymore. So, maybe I'd better meet him and solve this problem quickly.

Because I'm afraid he'll do something bad to Sia and Gia if I don't comply with his request. And hopefully, this is the right decision for me to make.

"Leave it alone. I'll go to Lobby to meet them. You can go," I told her.

Then I hurried to go downstairs to meet Ash. When I got out of the elevator and walked into the lobby, I was surprised to see Ash with Stella.

Suddenly my chest felt tight.
