Chapter 19.
**(Freya's POV)**
"Freya?!"
"Mom!"
My eyes glared at them with the same shock they felt. I heard my friends, Sia and Gia screaming. Staring in disbelief at the sight of me kissing Ash on the floor, let alone in that position.
"This isn't what you imagined!" I exclaimed as I hurriedly stood up and moved away from Ash. I glanced sharply at Ash who also started to stand up and clean his clothes.
"Sia, Gia..."
I immediately moved forward, blocking Ash who was about to approach them.
"Don't try to touch them or I'll never forgive you, Ash," I hissed while glaring at him.
"They're also my daughter."
"I don't care!" I snapped.
"Freya, what happened?" Daisy asked. I immediately turned to him.
"Nothing," I answered quickly. I walked straight to Sia and Gia. "What are you two doing here?" I asked irritably.
"We were looking for you, Mom," Sia said.
"Look, I still have guests and you should go back to your room and get some sleep. It's late," I emphasized in my tone.
"But..."
"Don't argue! Didn't I tell you? Have you forgotten what I said in the room earlier?"
"We still remember, Mom."
"Then listen to me and don't protest. You guys love Mommy, right?"
"Yes, we love you, Mom."
"Now, go back upstairs and go to sleep," I said.
"Okay." As they turned around, they briefly glanced at Ash and ran a little toward the stairs.
Then I turned around and looked back at Ash.
"Now, get out of here and never come to my house again!" I snapped while clenching my fists. My eyes continued to stare intently at him.
Honestly, I felt very scared when I saw Sia and Gia there earlier. I thought something bad was going to happen. I thought Ash would do something bad like forcibly take them away from my house. But if that happened, I would never let it happen either.
"You can't kick me out when I want to see my daughters, Freya. You can't stop me," he said firmly. He spoke with a confident, haughty demeanor. It made me feel sick to see him behave like that.
It reminds me of the past and I hate him even more. There was no remorse, and he was just being more and more selfish without thinking about other people's feelings.
"If you're still being selfish like this. I'll have to call the police if you dare to bother me or my daughters again. This isn't a warning, Ash. But I'll really do it and make sure you won't be able to bother us again," I said with firm emphasis.
"Do it, but I still won't stop coming to see my children. Because I have the right to do so, because I am their father," he said.
"You're not their father!" I shouted hysterically. "How many times do I have to say it? And don't act like you deserve to be their father, because, in reality, you're just a jerk who tried to kill them when they were still in my womb!" I narrowed my eyes full of exploding anger and hatred.
"That's just the past, Freya. And now I'm doing my duty as their father," he said, "I'm trying to make amends. Can't you see that?"
"All I see is your greed and selfishness, Ash. What you're doing right now, to me feels like you're trying to destroy our lives," I said. My chest felt tight as I spoke. My eyes felt hot.
"That's your way of thinking, but if it's mine, I'm trying to get us back together. And I will never stop until we are reunited."
I shuddered in horror at his words. His heavy, deep voice sounded like a threat. It made me feel uneasy and scared at the same time. I was terrified that he would do something like what he did to Sia and Gia today.
Even when he had left my house, I felt my body still trembling. My mind was as messed up as I was feeling right now and I couldn't think clearly.
I fell to my feet. It's hard to breathe because of the anxiety I'm currently feeling.
"Freya, are you alright?" I feel Disy coming closer. Gently rubbing my shoulders and trying to calm me down, she looks at me with concern.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine. Can you help me sit on the sofa?" I asked her while grabbing both her hands with my trembling ones. I was so weak that I could hardly walk and she helped me sit on the sofa.
She sat next to me while holding my hand. "Is he the ex-husband you were talking about the other day?" she asked.
I nodded. "Yes. I don't know what happened. But he already knows that Sia and Gia are his children," I said in a trembling voice. I covered my face with the palm of my hand. "I'm afraid he'll take them away from me."
"Shhh... calm down. That won't happen. I'll help you to fight for Sia and Gia. He's just a jerk. He doesn't deserve to be Sia and Gia's father. He doesn't deserve to be called a father after the atrocities he committed against you." I felt Daisy's arms reach out to embrace my body. Holding me tightly, patting my shoulders gently, trying to calm me down.
"I won't let him take Sia and Gia. They are my life," I whispered.
"Do you still love him?" She asked.
"No." I shook my head. "No, I don't. I don't love him anymore," I sobbed, "I hate him."
"That's good. Because he doesn't deserve to be loved by a woman like you. I pray he gets his comeuppance for what he's done to you," I heard HER swear, "Bastard. Shameless! I want to kill him so badly!" she hissed.
I let go of her embrace, wiping away my tears with the back of my hand. I looked at her with my vision blurred as my tears continued to flow. Ever since our fight, I've been trying to stay strong and not cry in front of Ash. And now, I was flooded with tears.
"Alright, don't cry anymore. You don't deserve to cry over a jerk like him, Freya," she said.
"I know. I've suffered enough in the past because of him. And I won't let it happen to me again."
"How about you get an arrest warrant for him? He already dared to take Sia and Gia away without your knowledge. There are witnesses and they can help you get Ash punished. At least, it will keep him from getting close to Sia and Gia," Daisy suggested.
"But, I don't know how..."
"You have to do it, Freya. One step ahead of the decision is far better than falling for his cunning plan."
I took a deep breath. "I'll think about it. Thank you, Daisy. I'm grateful that you're always by my side whenever I need someone," I whispered. I smiled as she smiled at me too.
That night, Daisy stayed with me late into the night before she went back home. And the next morning, as I was getting ready for breakfast with Sia and Gia. The servant told me that someone had come to the house looking for me.
My heart was beating very fast. I was worried and scared if it was Ash, but when I arrived at the gate of the house. I found a strange man I didn't recognize.
"With Miss Freya?"
"Yes, that's me. What's wrong?" I asked, wrinkling my brow.
"There's a letter from the court for you."
