Chapter 12.
**(Freya's POV)**
"Wh-what?!" cried Stella in disbelief. "She can't be the CEO of this company. You must have been misspoken, right?" she asked with her eyes glaring at me.
I just stood there watching her. Trying to be calm and elegant while she continued to protest unacceptably about the fact that I was the CEO of the Dental Science company.
Yes, of course, she couldn't believe it because she never knew how to appreciate people. All she had in her head were bad thoughts about me. I know she never liked me, that's why, when Ash chose her and left me, she was the first one to cheer happily.
"But she is indeed the CEO of the Dental Science company. I already told you that I came here to get a deal," Ash said in a low voice. He looked worried because he saw Stella who couldn't control her emotions in front of me.
Especially with her harsh words calling me a whore. I didn't even care about her words and didn't feel hurt. Because I knew it was her bad nature because she had no manners. And for all I knew, he couldn't accept my success.
"That's a fact. I'm the CEO," I said in a cocky tone. I crossed my arms over my chest and gave her a sharp look.
Stella smiled mockingly. "In your dreams! I know you're pretending to be the CEO here, right? Because you wanted to snatch Ash from my arms again! I know your cunning tricks, bitch!"
"Watch your mouth, Stella. Don't you realize that you're in my company? Mind your manners and be polite when you're talking to someone. Especially when I have a higher rank than you."
"You...." I could see her eyes glaring at me. Looking very angry with what I said. Her hands were clenched tightly into fists.
I grinned. For some reason, I felt satisfied to see her angry just because of some words I said. I'm sure it hurt her pride.
"Why? Do you want to slap me? But I'm not sure you dare to do so since I'm the CEO here. One bad treatment from you and you'll be dragged away by security!" I threatened.
Stella laughed loudly. I furrowed my brow.
"CEO? Don't be ridiculous! You're nothing but a slut. A whore trying to get my man," she taunted, "now you better get lost and call the real CEO because I don't believe a word a whore like you says!" she shouted in her loud voice.
I furrowed my brow as my ears ached with every harsh word she threw at me. For a woman, why did she have such a big mouth? I don't know if this is human nature, but I'm getting more and more sick and disgusted with them.
No wonder, because they are humans.
I hate humans.
They never know how to appreciate, to pity. Even our people have those feelings far more than humans.
"That's enough," I growled, "I'm sick of hearing your every word. You two better get out of here if you're going to make a scene. Because you still have a lot of important work to do instead of me having to deal with people like you."
"People like us?! We are much more civilized than you who are just cheap women! Whore! You're doing this on purpose to tease Ash, right? Because you're jealous that Ash prefers me over you!" She yelled at me loudly. With both hands on her waist, her glaring eyes full of anger were fixed only on me. "Look, you can never take Ash away from me because his love is only for me. So, stop being pathetic and begging Ash for love. Because he will never love you!"
I rolled my eyeballs lazily. Groaning in annoyance at Stella's annoying attitude. The more I let her, the worse her attitude and speech became.
"Ash, I thought you came here to get a deal? But it looks like you just want to screw up, doesn't it?" I said in a stern tone to Ash, "You better tell your girlfriend to shut up or I'll call security to drag you all out of this building! Even if it's rough!”
"Stella, enough! Stop messing around. I came to get cooperation. If you're insolent to her, I might fail to cooperate with her." I saw Ash trying to calm Stella down but still, Stella wasn't listening to him.
"She's the one who should stop messing around! Don't you realize that she's doing this on purpose to snatch you away from me? That cooperation is just an excuse so that she can seduce you again, Ash!"
"Are you going to keep acting like this?" I said with annoyance. I gave Ash a sharp look, trying to make him understand that his situation was not good. "Listen, Ash. I'll never do business with you if she continues to be disrespectful to me."
"No, I..."
"She keeps screwing up and I hate it," I said in a stern tone.
"She's my secretary," Ash said.
I snorted. No wonder she came with Stella. But, Stella wasn't fit to be his secretary at all because she had a bad tenure.
"Listen, Ash. Even though we had a relationship in the past, this is about business. And I'm not going to be lenient with all of you. So, if you want to get this deal, fire her and get her out of here. Because if you don't, then don't expect to get the deal I promised you!"
"Enough, Freya! Don't cross the line. You shouldn't be acting like this to her!"
"If you don’t like my decision, then you can both leave!" I exclaimed. I didn't care about them at all. "This is a waste of my precious time!" I exclaimed.
"Do you have to be this outrageous, Freya?"
"From the start, it wasn't me who was being outrageous, it was this girlfriend of yours," I said not to be outdone, "and I've always been a business professional. Oh, don't worry. I don't use my feelings when working with someone, so you don't have to worry about me snatching this lover of yours. Besides, I'm not interested in anyone's boyfriend and I already have one!"
I saw Ash sigh heavily. "Stella, you'd better get out of here," he said to Stella.
"What? No!"
"Please, it's just business. Trust me." Ash grasped both of Stella's hands, trying to convince her.
"Okay." Stella snorted. As she was about to leave, I quickly intercepted her.
"Where are you going?" I asked in a stern tone. "Didn't I tell you to apologize to me? Didn't you listen to me properly, Ash?!"
"WHAT?!" exclaimed Stella unhappily.
"Apologize to me and get out of here. And after that, I'll give you a chance to get this partnership," I threatened.
I saw Ash was filled with panic and anxiety. He then told Stella to apologize to me.
"Stella, please. Just do it," Ash whispered.
Stella swore softly. "I apologize! Now are you satisfied?!" she snapped. "I'll never forget this and just watch my revenge later!" she exclaimed as she walked away from us.
Just the two of us.
And right in front of me, Ash was looking at me with glaring eyes.
