chapter 112

After that episode.
I approached Sheetal carefully and gently caressed her shoulder. She jolted as I touched her.
I sat behind her and quietly called her name, "Sheetal."
She said, "Daniel, my mom isn't here." As I listened to her, I pressed my lips. My chest hurt all throughout. I made her turn to face me. Her gaze was fixed on me.
I held Sheetal's face and begged, "Sheetal, please."
She attempted to blink her eyes, but they remained fixed. She appeared to be a dead body. Although she didn't respond when I stroked her cheek,
"Sheetal, you didn't eat anything. "Please eat something," I requested.
"She leaves me alone here," she remarked, blinking her eyes gently before speaking out loud.
I didn't see any tears in her eyes. Her tears had barely stopped flowing.
As soon as I uttered "sheetal," I drew her close and gave her a hug.
"Please talk to me, sweetheart," I pleaded. "You will feel at ease." My eyes welled up with tears because it was hurting me and I couldn't look at her like this.
"Daniel, I want to sleep," Sheetal remarked as she blinked her eyes open.
I pulled her hair away from her forehead and asked, "Do you want to sleep?"
She nodded while her eyes were closed.
I said, "Yes, sweetie, I'll stroke your hair." But Sheetal remained silent. She followed me into lying down on the bed. I know that she needs me now.
She was staring at me with wide open eyes as I began to stroke her hair. She had her gaze fixed on the ceiling.
I called her name, "Sheetal," but she didn't answer. She had her gaze fixed on the ceiling.
"Try to sleep, baby." "I'm here," I said.
She softly closed her eyes after hearing me speak.
I was slowly stroking her hair.
Everything in our lives has changed in a split second. Only God is aware of what his plan is for us. Did I imagine that it would happen in our lives? Did I anticipate that Sheetal would change in this way? We are completely ignorant. We can not get what we lost back. It won't ever come back to us.
Next day.
Sheetal's point of view.
I gently opened my eyes and found myself in Daniel's arms. Daniel was dozing off peacefully. I swung around and peered around. We stayed in Mom's room last night. I rose from the bed and took a glance around the room. I rose from the mattress and went to her closet.
I reached out and grabbed one of her clothes. I smelled one.
The same scent! Her smell from her garment was detectable. I touched her and every item in the room. Everything was in its proper position, but the owner was nowhere to be seen.
Mom was not there. But she left everything behind.
I paused in front of the mirror while I was walking and looked in it to see myself.
I continued to observe myself in the mirror before gradually touching it.
No tears are there in my eyes. Like my mother, my tears also deceived me. My tears had left me, just as she had.
I was strolling when I heard birds chirping from my mother's balcony. I walked gently to the balcony, where I found a goldfinch. It began to chirp. I approached it cautiously. But it didn't fly away. It was chirping while seated in the corner.
I was looking at it quickly without blinking. The bird was a little golden one.
I attempted to reach out my hand while smiling. But when I reached out to touch it, the bird flew away. I put an end to my motion there and carefully shifted my gaze.
Everyone is leaving me in this manner. How awful am I? Although my eyes were searching for something else, I glanced up into the sky.
My eyes are looking for my mother, but she is nowhere to be seen.
She will be buried after a while, and I will never be able to see her again. She will never return. I sat on the ground slowly and looked at her dress as I thought.
My eyes began to well up with tears. I wanted to cry and shout, but I was unable to do so. I didn't understand why.
Daniel's point of view.
I reached out to grab Sheetal, but I was unable to find her. I immediately opened my eyes to see that she wasn't on the bed. I got out of bed and hurriedly searched the washroom. It was opened.
Damn! Where is she now?
I saw the door was still closed, so I walked to the balcony and found Sheetal sitting on the floor.
I called her name when I saw tears in her eyes, "Sheetal."
She remained silent and didn't say anything to me.
"Sheetal, you are a powerful girl," I said as I drew closer to her, grabbed her, and held her. "Everything will be alright."
Sheetal kept glancing at her mother's clothes and asked, "When will she be buried?"
At noon, I stated. I saw Sheetal nod and slowly place her head on my shoulder.
Sheetal didn't seem like a normal person. I don't know how to comfort her right now.
Scenario 2.
Jolene was saying goodbye to everyone. She went to see Aunt Arin, but she merely talked with her as she always did.
I asked Liam to go with her, but she refused. She wanted to go alone. I merely instructed two men to accompany her.
Next episode.
Jolene responded, "Mr. Musa, look after yourself."
I was staring at her from upstairs. But Dad didn't seem to be in a good mood. He didn't want her to leave the house.
