I closed my eyes as I thought. She's simply underground. Even I have no idea where she is. Maybe the young child died that night, too, because I hadn't heard anything about him and James hadn't told me. Also, I didn't see his son anywhere with him.
I really don't want to think about that brutal night anymore.
Diana's point of view.
I let out a sigh. Actually, we have nothing to do with this. We can't even devour it, let alone throw it out. We've just chained ourselves to this.
I'm aware that it was our fault.
Before, we weren't that wealthy. For whatever reason, Alex's father, or more properly, my father-in-law, once supported James' father. James' father was involved in this particular illegal business. He gradually drew Alex's father into the situation. And then they slowly built this empire.
Alex does not want to be involved with this at this time. But the greediness! He couldn't get rid of his lust for money, however. He gradually became interested in this.
