Chapter 17

"I won't tell you until you give me your phone number!" Said the man while blinking his eyes. He really wasn't afraid until his hand started to move towards Ruby's buttocks and rubbed it gently.

Ruby was silent, she was sure her butt had just been rubbed by this man. She could feel her hands touching her skin.

Henry, Jacob and Pierre were shocked. The man abused Ruby right before their eyes. Without realizing it, the strong desire to beat up the perverted man was very strong, including Henry, whose little heart couldn't accept that his friend was being harassed in public like that.

"Damn, this bastard-"

Just before they got up and beat the man, Ruby's deadly kick hit the man's head.

"Agh...it hurts...!" He said, grimacing in pain as fresh blood flowed profusely from his nose.

His shout attracted the attention of cafe visitors and other employees. The man fell from the chair and sat on the floor holding his bleeding nose.

"Oh my God, what happened?"

"This crazy woman kicked me! Oh, she wants to kill me...!"

"What?"

All eyes were on him. The manager, who heard the commotion, immediately came out of his office.

"What happened?"

"Mr Brown, Ruby kicked the customer!" Said a servant who didn't know what really happened.

Ruby was silent, she felt very scared now. She had just started working at this cafe and she immediately caused problems on her first day of work.

"I-I'm sorry!" She said anxiously. Her face was downcast, afraid that she would be fired for kicking a customer in the face with her foot.

Her body was shaking, Henry, Jacob and Pierre who saw his strange behavior felt very confused. They didn't understand why Ruby should be afraid to admit the truth. She had been abused and she just wanted to stand up for herself.

"Miss Cohen, why did you kick our customer? What happened?" Ask the Manager.

"I-it was me, I'm really sorry! I didn't mean-"

"The man rubbed her buttocks on purpose and without permission to harass her!" Pierre said. He immediately acted before this problem got serious.

"Is that true, Miss Cohen?" Ask the Manager. Ruby felt nervous, she really wanted to say that it was true, but for some reason she felt very afraid.

"T-that's he-"

"That's not true! I didn't do anything! Why would I tease a cheap woman who usually shows off her body to the men here! Tsk, disgusting!"

Ruby was silent, she didn't expect that she would be looked down on like that. This wasn't her first time, but it still felt very painful.

She didn't know what to do other than bow her head with her body shaking. Seeing hef helpless like this made Pierre, Jacob and Henry confused. Why should she feel afraid when she has the courage to fight?

"Ruby, you-"

"I'm sorry for making a scene! I'm sorry, this won't happen again!" She said while bowing.

"Huh?" Henry, who witnessed this, felt very angry. At least it wasn't just him, Jacon and Pierre were also furious.

Even though when they saw Ruby deliver her finishing kick to the man's face, images of the past immediately appeared in their heads when Ruby did the same thing to her enemies during a fight. But what they saw now actually made them feel disappointed.

"Hey Ruby, are you kidding me? What are you apologizing for?" Pierre asked. He couldn't let Ruby just forgive the man and make her apologize instead.

"It was my fault for kicking the customer! It was just a reflex action, because I felt like a big, disgusting fly had landed on my butt. I'm sorry!" She said calmly as she bowed again.

The atmosphere became silent for a few moments until a burst of laughter erupted from Henry's mouth, followed by the slightly arrogant laughter of Pierre and Jacob.

"Hahaha...flies, huh? I think you should be careful, because there are so many big, disgusting flies ready to attack women like you!" Henry chirped and smiled annoyingly.

"Yeah, your fly is like you, isn't it? Thanks for worrying about me!"

The perverted man who touched Ruby's buttocks could only look down in shame when she gave him a terrifying murderous look. She couldn't do anything but keep quiet and walk away carrying the shame.

"Oh my God, it turns out she really hasn't changed, has she?" Said Pierre, who was still giggling thinking about the incident at the cafe this afternoon.

It's been 15 minutes since they left the cafe and all the problems that occurred were won by Ruby. However, the humor of her frontal and no-nonsense actions made them unable to stop laughing.

"Crazy woman! She must have felt it, right? How could she have a boyfriend with a character like that? She would definitely kick every man who tried to touch her!" Henry, who received a murderous look from Ruby in the cafe, made him unable to laugh anymore. The pain from the woman's blow many years ago came back to him.

"I think those are different things! Having a boyfriend and being harassed in public are not the same thing!" The wiser Jacob replied.

"Yeah, if it's with her boyfriend maybe she can be gentler." Pierre continued Jacob's statement.

"But if that's the case, why isn't she married yet?" Henry stopped their thoughts with his question.

Jacob and Pierre couldn't deny that they were also curious about this. What kind of man could conquer a tough and rude woman like her?
