Chapter Eighteen
Zion's POV
“Movement on southeast border!!” The whole pack heard it through the midlink.
“Brigade to Luna” Ethar command shortly after
“Elijah, head to the southeast wall, I will meet you there.” Iliam commanded through the link.
I felt like my head was being split open ever since I had marked Ethar and Iliam my link with the entire pack was extended, but I never heard so many conversations at once it made me feel dizzy for a moment.
“Francis what’s your location?” Ethar questioned
“Headed to you , Seb is safe within the mansion walls.” He replied
“Luna get to the mansion so Seb can close the barrier.” Francis ordered
Orders shot out left in right through the link followed by howls and growls throughout the woods.
“The Jagter is closing in fast, scouts reported movement coming from southwest entrance, and the main gate , they’re trying to surround us.” Elijah informed the leaders.
"Eli main gate now!" Ethar commanded
This was not good even though we were tirelessly preparing for this day it felt unreal. A larger number of pack members had just been slaughtered weeks ago and they were back on our tails.
I stood there frozen by what could only be shock, and fear for my mates, for my pack, if we took another hit. I wasn’t sure if we could come back from this. I was pulled away from my thoughts by Albizi grabbing my arm motioning for me to follow.
“Luna please the quicker we get you to safety, the quicker we can aid the Alphas.” Albizi voiced. I wanted to help , I was not a person to run from fights, but he was right having me out here would only be a distraction for my mates.
“Let’s go Luna, if you want to help let’s get inside and get the woman and children behind the barrier.” Agatha told me noticing my hesitation to run and hide, it was like she could read my thoughts. She was right, Seb was waiting for me to get to the mansion to close the barrier and leaving it open for to long would put others in danger. I had no choice but to go with them.
Ethar’s pov
“Members of the Treaty it’s time just like we discussed head to your position, as we planned surround them outside the gate and wait for my signal.”
Etgar was pushing through ready to taste blood. I had to hold off a little bit longer before giving him control everything needed to go as planned. The Jagter avoided our borders on the north side just like I suspected they knew we had rogue soldiers guarding their settlements, they didn’t want to take the chance of running into them.
“Elijah update.” I ordered through the link.
“We are repealing the demon spawn for now, the main entrance is under attack my brother could use reinforcements.” Elijah informed, no hint of worry in voice he had unwavering faith in his twin brother’s skills, but he made sure to mention the threat at the main gate.
“I’m headed his way.” Francis said aloud making sure to look me and Iliam’s way for approval, Iliam nodded and the Beta took off.
“Loufy, Gresham eta?” I voiced through the treaty link.
“We just made it, getting into position waiting for your signal.” He responded, a smirk crept up on my face. Everything was falling into place. We had them now.
“Anyone catch sight of their leader? This attack is more organized then the last , they are being led by someone.” Iliam said through the pack link.
“Silver Hair 12 o’clock , he seems to be giving orders.” Eli yelled through his voice distressed making me and Iliam heads snap to each other.
“Eli what’s your status do you need assistance.” Loufy yelled through the link, his worry for his comrades made me wonder what the relationship was between them.
“Francis just arrived, we’re pushing them back.” He responded and I felt relief wash over me.
“You ready brother.” I say aloud to Iliam. Aya and her gamma team had joined our sprint towards the southwest entrance,
“For our fallen.” He responded, my playful , easygoing brother was gone and replaced with a more serious and determined version of him.
“For Roy.” I whispered to myself before I let out a howl to be heard across my entire land. The others joined it at the signal. I shifted and Iliam, Aya and her gamma team followed suit as we ran into battle.
Iliam’s pov
As soon as we were in range it seamed as if the sky was falling when the hell fire rained down upon us. We did our best to evade it , but it still knocked us around as it connected with the dirt in an explosion sending soldiers flying around if they weren’t quick enough to avoid it.
Etgar on the other hand didn’t miss a beat. You couldn’t count the heads he sent flying in my direction alone. I could tell him and Ethar were working together. Ever since Etgar got his memory back you could tell he has been able to focus his rage instead of using it blindly, they both had a mission and that was justice , for his friend, for his pack and his Luna.
“Silver head is heading your direction Alpha,” Eli warned through the pack link so we retreated a bit to prepare for the next wave.
“As soon as he advances, the remainder of the treaty is to move in from behind, trap him in the clearing.” Ethar ordered
I froze in horror as I watched one of the hellhounds lunge for Etgar as it took a huge bit out of his side. Egart growled and threw him away from himself, the hound landed on his feet and what happened next went against everything sacred about being a wolf. The hound made a disgusting grunt before swallowing the piece of flesh he tore from Etgar.
I don’t know where the strength came from, but I watched Ethar shift back, He approached the hound and pulled it’s jaws apart snapping them off the hounds head and tossing the pieces of the hound like trash. He gripped his injured side and walked towards me hunched over. He fell into my arms as soon as he got close enough.
“That was disgusting.” he grunted out a painful grin on his face.
I throw his arm around my shoulder and continued towards the clearing carrying him along with me.

I fell to the floor clinching my side as I felt the pain of my body being ripped apart, yet there was no wound. I could feel Iliam’s fear but that was it, so the pain had to be from Ethar. He was hurt.
“Albizi, Echo to your alpha now!” I roared aloud as the pain left my body trembling.
Albizi and Echo obeyed the command without hesitation. Seb crouched down near me her slight bump making the task a little difficult. She checked my ribs for wounds.
“Your alright Luna, try not to get up.” Freya warned as I tried to find my feet.
“Agatha go to the weapons room I want every able fighter to have a weapon in their hands just in case the fight makes it to us.” Seb called out Agatha didn’t wait she hurried out the room as the last word left Seb’s lips.
“Alpha is indeed injured, but the does not mean we lost the fight just yet.” Freya attempted to reassure me.
I struggled to my feet but the pain wasn’t subsiding, he wasn’t healing. Why!?
“Luna please lay back down you are in no con…” Seb began to say but was cut of by me.
“Seb please, I can’t lose him, if you had a chance to help you mate would you not do the same as I’m trying to do right now.” I pleaded to her to not stand in my way and drop the barrier. Before she could consider my plea Agatha flung the doors open. She was covered in blood, the once beautiful, energetic, sassy siren now stood in front us a mangled worrier that seemed like she fought tooth and nail to get back to us before she fell face first into the marble floor.
“Agatha!!”
Ethar’s pov
Etgar continued to whimper in my head from the wound we sustained that was taking its sweet ass time to heal. The pain was pulsing through my body like a poison.
“Sebastian, Move your forces to The main gate, Eli is in command, Johaness I need you with Elijah at the Southeast gate. As soon as the silver head moves his army through the southwest entrance Loufy and Tali attack. Everyone has their orders I don’t think Etgar can hold the link open, when each gate is clear fire the flares.” I sent the order through the mind link before I felt Etgar slip too far back.
As soon as the silver head approached the gate I got a whiff of the familiar scent. General Arwin. How was this fucker not dead. I drained his life blood completely I was sure of it.
“Iliam! We take out the general we take out the army. The rest of the hell hounds don’t bleed , yet he does, he is controlling them. They are basically pawns in his game, we need to take out the king.” I yelled out to Iliam as the hellhounds advanced. I saw his eyes glaze over as he communicated it to the pack and the treaty.

I watched Freya sniff the air looking for the scent of the intruder as we hovered over Agatha’s body. I couldnt hear her heart beat anymore. Agatha was a sweetheart, she was a bright spirit that had lightened up my life, she always looked on the bright side, and never complained, and her chosen mate Cas would soon be left in this world alone just like Seb.
‘Ethar!!’ I yelled through the mate link , but nothing came back from him.
‘Iliam!’ I called out through the mate link and was at first relived when he answered.
‘Echo and Albizi are on their way my love.’ He responds
‘They have breeched the barri..’ I tried to retort but was shut out.
The aching pain I felt in my rib from my mate, the pain in my heart for my friend Agatha, tears streamed down my face nonstop. The Demon dogs bursted through the hall doors and Freya was the first to confront them. Although she fought more fiercely then ever, I saw the light drain from her eyes like Agatha as the hell hound snapped at her face as she fell.
Seb met them next still shielding me from the attack but was thrown to the wall. The only option I could think of was to try and revive my friend, pulling on my wolf, my vampirism, my hunter magic, the magic that filled the walls of the mansion. I pulled hard as I placed my hands on her chest. What happened next I didn’t expect.
Ethar’s pov
Not only was I watching a whole army of hell hounds evaporate before my eyes, but the sharp piecing scream brought me to my knees I felt the blood spilling from my eyes, my ears and nose. What caused such a hemorrhage from my mate was unknown but I didn’t fight it , I knew she wouldn’t hurt me. As for Arwin at this point I was crawling on my hands and knees to reach him, he wouldn’t get away from me this time.
As the ringing in my ears disappeared I struggled to my feet. When I reached the thrashing Demon General I placed my hand on his throat, his legs dangling as I held him in the air. I watched my comrades around me rise to there feet. The general was dead weight and was almost to much for me to hold. If experience had taught me anything it was that he would wake , and not only me but my pack would take their revenge.
Iliam stood beside me and snatched the generals body from hands , I didn’t fight him as I was too weak to protest. I watched him haul the general off towards the dungeon.

“My beautiful sweet child. Mommy is here.” I heard the beautiful dark haired woman whisper against my ear . Her beaming green eyes were the last thing I saw before my eyes were forced shut.
