146 - Pizza or Hot Dogs

*That dog never misses a meal. Whether it’s for him or not. - Vin*

As if he sensed that the hot dogs had been brought out, Tink wandered out into the backyard and laid down next to Athos, eyeing the hot dogs with expectancy. Looking from the dog to his owner and back, he shook his head before looking back at his task at hand.

“How the hell does your dog do that?” Athos asked as he skewered a couple of hot dogs.

“Fuck if I know,” she admitted. “It’s like he has a radar for food.”

“Your dog is just straight up weird,” Porthos chuckled as he tapped her feet to move them off the cooler.

“Um, yeah,” she chuckled, “you do know who got me the weird ass dog, right?”

Giving a light, dry chuckle, Athos anchored the long fork in an attachment on the edge of the fire pit. It held the fork at the right angle to cook the hot dog above the flames, without it being directly in the heat. “She makes a good point,” he dropped a hot dog in front of the dog in question.

“Of course, that may also be why he comes running to you,” she accepted the beer that her friend held out to her.

Ignoring the dog that was eating next to him, Athos looked at Camille with feigned innocence, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Dude,” Porthos laughed, “even I know that you bribe that dog with jerky.’

“Jerky?” Athos asked innocently as he slipped another wiener to the Doberman Pinscher. “What is this jerky that you speak of?”

“There is no one that is buying this ridiculous act,” Aramis laughed as Camille hid her own laugh behind her hand.

The door to the house opened and the sounds of the pool game and the guys harassing each other. The sounds of happy laughter from Mitch and some of his new friends also floated out through the air and Camille smiled.

Darkness walked over and gave his wife a kiss, “I know that you are doing your cookout foods, but the kids want to order pizza. Just wanted to see if you want me to add any for you guys.”

“I doubt that the guys have changed much and are probably still bottomless pits,” she told him.

“I have been told that yes, I am a bottomless pit,” Athos confirmed.

“You certainly are,” Aramis agreed.

“Got it,” Darkness chuckled and gave his wife one more kiss. “I’ll add a few more pizzas.”

She watched him walk back towards the house and gave a small groan of appreciation. Her friends laughed at her, and she turned back to grin at them.

“Sorry?” she offered with a small shrug. “But so not sorry.”

Porthos offered her a fist bump, “Don’t blame you a bit. You should take full advantage of that man later.”

Tapping his fist with hers, she laughed, “Since I have your permission, I sure as hell will.”

“No offense, brother,” Aramis chuckled, “it’s about time that you came out of the closet.”

“How long did you guys know?” Porthos asked as his dark cheeks flushed.

“A couple of years,” Athos admitted as he again turned the hot dogs. “Honestly, Geo shocked the hell out of me.”

“Really? It was the guy from Florida that shocked you? But the giant mountain man didn’t?” Athos asked with a shake of his head.

“Trust me,” Porthos chuckled, “it surprised him.”

“I would love to hear details,” Camille batted her eyes at him.

“Thanks, no,” Athos shook his head.

“I’m with him,” Aramis agreed.

“Funny, that’s what I say too,” Porthos said over his beer bottle with a grin. He ducked when Aramis threw a raw hot dog at him. Then he quickly moved out of the way when Tink went after it.

“That was a good one,” Camille laughed.

“Thanks,” he grinned as he sat back in his chair. “You think those dogs are done yet? I’ve got thirty minutes until pizza and I’m starving over here.”

“You’re pathetic,” Aramis grumbled with a grin.

Athos pulled the fork away from the fire and then grabbed the package of buns out of the nearby basket. Placing one hot dog wiener in a bun, he pulled it off the skewer before handing it to Camille. She giggled at Porthos as he looked at it longingly. Just as she always had done, she caused them all to cringe when she used the squeezed bottle of mayonnaise to cover the link.

Grinning at her friends, she swirled her tongue around the end of the hot dog before taking it into her mouth.

“You, little girl, are so fucking wrong,” Aramis told her.

She shrugged, “A little horny too.”

“Would have never guessed,” Athos said dryly as he handed the other hot dog to Porthos. “No, we don’t need a show from you.”

“I’ll give you one,” he offered as he dug the mustard out of the cooler and held it up for Camille to see. “This is what goes on a hot dog. Not mayo, you fucking freak.”

Shrugging, she took another big bite.

“At least they are just fighting over what goes on the damn hot dog and not turning it into some sex thing,” Aramis said. Athos agreed as he started to cook two new hot dogs.

Porthos and Camille looked at each other as they both chewed, he grinned, and she shrugged. Turning back to the other two friends, she covered her mouth with her hand not holding the food.

“We could.”

“Please don’t,” Athos begged. “There are certain things that I don’t want to think about. I know that you two have sex, that one has mini-me’s running around –“

“They’re not both running around yet,” Aramis corrected, “just one.”

Looking at his friend who interrupted him, Athos flipped him off before continuing, “- but I don’t want to think about they got here. Sure as hell don’t want to have details. Let me pretend that all my nieces and nephews are results of immaculate conception.”

“Fuck that,” Camille objected. “You know how many conversations we’ve had over the years about the bulge on Denver’s thigh.”

Porthos grinned, “Five stars, would recommend, but I’m a bit possessive.”

“We as in you and Priscilla?” Aramis asked.

“And Megan and Michelle and Nessie and Alana-“

“Sweet Jesus,” Athos muttered. “Of course, it’s Alana.”

“-mom, and all the pretties, and Misti, and Clay–“

“God bless,” Aramis chuckled.

“- nd Karan and Taz and–“

“Okay, let’s narrow this down,” Porthos said with a laugh. “Who hasn’t discussed Denver’s dick?”

“I would say you guys,” she said with a grin, “but we’re discussing it now. So, yeah, just about all the Saints have discussed it at some point.”

“Not by choice!” Athos declared.

Aramis stumbled over his words and then looked at them with wide eyes, “I didn’t mean to!”

“There’s nothing wrong–“

“Right-“

“It’s just-“

“Totally normal-“

Porthos and Camille tapped the necks of their beer bottles as they both laughed. The other two friends blushed bright red with embarrassment and continued to stutter and stumble over their words.
