85 - Recoded
*I’m not going to yuck anyone’s yum, but are you sure that’s normal? Sid, do not tell me that there is nothing normal about our youngest. – Trigg*
Clay rushed into the room and jumped over the back of the couch to land next to Camille. “I thought that I heard Max Stallion music.”
“Hell, yeah,” the teen grinned as they exchanged a fist bump.
He kissed the top of her head before settling into the couch and calling out to his husband. “Hey, babe! Camille’s got that Trevor needs a blow job look!”
Trevor walked into the room with his tablet held to his ear as he used it as a phone. “Would love a blow job, but we’ve got to leave in about ninety minutes. Girls, when you’re done with this call, Ryder needs to talk with you.” He ended the call and tucked the tablet into his cut pocket. Grinning at Camille, he warned, “Little girl, you’ve got a lot of coding to do.”
“So, what you’re saying is that I should just charge them for the next hour and work on other clients?”
Trevor grinned at her. “It’s Sunday, and it’s emergency services. Make sure you charge them for that.”
“Fuck you, Trev!” Bearcat called from the computer screen.
Camille laughed as she put her glasses on. “He’s a top, so grab your lube and bend over.”
“There is something seriously wrong with you,” Bearcat informed the teen.
“No shit,” she replied as she stopped the video on the TV and slid down onto the floor next to Priscilla who was going through the box of stolen sweatshirts.
Clay reached over her to grab the remote, but Priscilla took it away before he could grab it. Trevor stepped over and placed a finger under his clean-shaven chin to tilt his face upwards. “That’s one.”
“Yes, sir,” Clay sat back on the couch and accepted the e-reader that Camille handed him.
Priscilla smirked until Camille reached over and tugged on her hair as she said, “Sticks, since Hidden Treasures is strictly on-line, I’m going to use that website as an example.”
“That’s fine,” Sticks agreed from the computer as Camille turned it back around to face her. “I was going to ask that you change the other two to match that one. By the way, I want pictures of what your man made.”
She grinned as she pulled up the Hidden Treasures website and shared her screen. “I have thoroughly enjoyed his handiwork.”
Before anything else could be said, she went over the differences between this website and most of the others. She explained that each one would need to be customized for each company. She then pulled up the website for Wilson’s and showed their scheduling page.
“Trev,” she asked as he and the musketeers walked through with luggage, “can you help create apps that will work with the websites?”
“Yeah, write it up and I’ll look it over and tweak it,” he told her before turning his attention to the other girl who was now sorting, cropping and editing pictures on her own laptop. “Have you thought about bringing in a second photographer?”
“One of the guys that works for Shiloh said that he would take care of her stores and the fab shop,” she said moving effortlessly between her tablet and phone. “He’s already sent me – OH!”
Her eyes went wide and then she got excited as an idea took root.
“You okay?” Swamp Thang asked her.
Grinning, she looked at her friend and business partner. “Virtual. Book. Signing. Set aside time for people to log on, Zoom or whatever, the guest author can answer questions, give a small reading, people can order personalized books and then we just ship them out.”
“Hell, yeah,” Camille offered a high five which her friend quickly accepted. “They would not even have to be local. Holy shit, that’s awesome. Send that to Gerty and Shiloh.”
Priscilla grabbed her phone to text the other women but read the recently received text. “Hey, Mia wants to know if we can take her restaurant to carry out and delivery only.”
“Does she want to use a food delivery app or her own?” Camille asked as she finished off what she was working on.
“Hell if I know,” Priscilla said as she texted her aunt back.
Camille finished the changes and put the website back up, “Bearcat, go look at your website and email me if there is anything you want me to tweak.”
As he looked over the new changes to the website for his body shop, she moved over to Wilson’s Automotive and made similar changes. Telling Dutch to go look at his website, she moved on to the next website and began to update it.
They continued to work like this for the next hour until she had most of the websites rewritten or modified with the needed changes. Assuring the last few shop managers that their websites would be updated in the next few hours, she and Priscilla ended their call. At some point, Darkness had placed sandwiches on the table for them both and they had slowly eaten them while continuing to work.
Both teens stood up to move around and empty their bladders before settling in for a call with Ryder. Camille grabbed two bottles of flavored water before returning to the makeshift workstation. Sitting back in front of her computers, she grinned at Ryder who had just appeared on the screen.
“Hey, ladies,” Ryder grinned from his office. He wore his cut and a T-shirt which was a huge violation of his own rules for the company. After exchanging knowing smiles with each other, the two teens greeted him.
“First thing is your billing, other than outside of office hours, are you wanting to charge anything additional? Emergency? Rush? Tell me what all you want to charge.”
Camille looked at Priscilla who shrugged, unsure of what they should charge. After a brief pause, Camille turned back to her computer.
“Honestly, I would say just the outside of office hours rate. I mean, it’s not like this is anything that they really had any control over. It’s not a SNAFU situation that they created or anything. The government stepped in and said this is what you’ll do.”
“I’m good with that,” Priscilla agreed. “We may need to talk about a part time employee. It’s one of Shiloh’s employees and she said that they could take the needed pictures for her stores and MetalWorks. But if we can also use them for some of the others, that would help.”
“Before we do that, I think we need to see if we can use their work,” Camille suggested, and Priscilla agreed.
“Oh, hell, yeah,” Priscilla laughed. “I don’t even know which of her employees it is. But if they are good, we might want to lock them down before someone else grabs them.”
“That’s a good point,” Ryder said. “We have provisional employees during tax season, I would recommend something like this until you know if you want to keep them.”
The two entrepreneurs agreed before Priscilla asked, “What else did you need, Ryder?”
“I need my program updated,” he said sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck. “My staff is going to work from home. Need a way to have them log hours and clients.”
Camille gave a little laugh, “That’s easy, I thought you were going to give me a challenge.”
“Oh, that’s coming,” Ryder chuckled. “Priss, when are you going to be back?”
“I’m thinking that is a Trevor question,” Priscilla chuckled as Camille nodded.
“Call me when you get back home,” he said as Claire brought something in. “Hey, come say hi to your sister.”
Claire pushed Ryder out of the way and beamed at her youngest sister. “Hey, girl. Since mom’s going to ask, how are those cards?”
Without thinking, Camille responded with, “Cashed.”
“What!? Camille Anneliese!”
At hearing her full name, she tuned back into the conversation. “Sorry, what?”
“Did you seriously cash your cards?” her sister demanded.
Biting her lower lip, she grinned at her older sister. “Yeah.”
“Hell, yeah!” Claire and Ryder high-fived on the screen. “Darkness, we’re all breaking even on that one. Did you cash *all* your cards?”
Camille smiled even more and nodded.
Moving over so that he was visible in the screen behind Camille, Clay motioned for Darkness to come join them. “I have more important questions about what that man is packing.”
“Of course you do,” Priscilla teased.
Darkness stood next to Camille and Clay angled him towards the camera. “You see this monster?” Clay pointed to the bulge behind Darkness’ zipper.
“Damn it, girl! You didn’t lose your virginity, it got obliterated.” Claire laughed.
“Right!” Clay laughed. “How did that little bitty girl take *all* of that?”
Priscilla laughed before she quoted her Momma Becks. “With enough lube and force, even the square peg can fit into the round hole.”
