Chapter 26
Selene
My phone buzzes as I lie in bed, staring at the ceiling and thinking about my stepbrother. I ignore it, my mind too preoccupied with the memories of last night.
Taking a deep breath, I open my legs, slowly rubbing my clit in small circles. Pleasure surges through me, and I rotate my fingers even faster. I can almost smell him and feel his calloused fingers skating across my skin as I took control and rode his cock.
His kisses were gentle, the way he nibbled on my neck was almost possessive, like he wanted to mark me, but he was holding himself back. I moan loudly, imagining the way his canines would feel sinking into my skin.
My phone buzzes again, this time from a call. Groaning, I reach over and see Phoenix's name on the screen. I've been ignoring him all day, he must've gotten fed up and decided to call me.
But what does he want? I really don't think I'm ready to talk to him yet.
Reluctantly, I answer it. "What do you want?" I grit out, annoyed that he just interrupted my masturbation session.
"Where are you right now?" he growls, his voice brimming with anger.
Holy shit. Is he actually mad at me?
"Why does it matter to you?" I ask, smirking to myself. I know I'm poking the bear, but the thrill of it fills me with excitement.
"I'm going to tell you this only once, little wolf. Meet me at "Casa de los Sabores", I'll give you one hour before I find you and drag your ass there myself. And dress nice but comfortable, this is our first date," he commands, his tone brooking no argument.
He hangs up before I can argue with him.
I stare at my phone in disbelief. Did...did my stepbrother just ask me out on a date? Well, really he told me we were going on a date. For some reason, I find it hot. I don't know if it's just because I was playing with myself thinking about him or what, but the tone of his voice has me dripping wet.
I slide open my closet door to look for an outfit, pulling out the most revealing dress I bought with Philip's credit card.
I giggle to myself.
He's going to have a fucking fit, and I'm going to enjoy every second of it.
----------------------
As I enter my favorite restaurant, I get a feeling that Phoenix brought me here intentionally, just because he somehow knew Zack has taken me here many times, and this is my favorite restaurant.
I follow Phoenix's scent to a private section in the back of the restaurant, and as I approach the table, I find a waitress flirting with him. He's dressed in a black tux, looking absolutely bored. Jealousy surges through me at the sight of her doing her best to get his attention, but I don't make it known.
Phoenix's nostrils flare as he scents me and his head snaps in my direction, his eyes dark with desire as he takes in my slutty outfit. A short, sleeveless silver-sequin dress and silver heels.
"Damn," he mutters under his breath. "You look fucking stunning."
Once I reach the table, he pulls me into his arms, marking his territory with a searing kiss. Filled with satisfaction, I kiss him back, relishing the way he's sending a message to the waitress and any other woman eye-fucking him.
He only wants me.
As I pull away, the waitress's face is red, jealousy and annoyance evident on her features.
I smirk. "Can you bring us an order of barbecue chicken wings, please? With extra celery?" I ask, feigning an overly sweet voice.
Her jaw tenses, but she nods and walks off to the kitchen.
Phoenix chuckles as I settle across from him. "After last night, I wasn't sure you would enjoy my public claiming, or perhaps it's just because you couldn't stand another woman paying attention to me. Was my sister jealous?" he asks, tilting his head.
I bite my lip. "Look, Phoenix, about last night..." I trail off, not knowing what to say. "I-I didn't mean to hurt you, I'm just dealing with a lot right now."
I know the excuse is pathetic, but it's not like I can tell him the truth.
That I think I'm in love with him, but I also still have some kind of feelings for my ex.
He hums, his blue eyes piercing through me as if he's searching my soul for something. "So why have you been ignoring me all day? What have you been doing?"
"Just unpacking," I reply, though it's not the only thing. I also touched myself thinking about him.
His face remains blank as he cocks an eyebrow. "Too busy to text your brother back?" he asks, almost too loudly.
I glance around, hoping no one heard him. "Shut the fuck up, Phoenix," I hiss lowly, shooting him a glare. "You can't kiss me like that and then claim to be my brother the next. People are going to think we're freaks."
He only chuckles. "You care too much about what others think, little wolf."
Our conversation is interrupted by the waitress returning with our appetizer. After we order our entrees, I turn my attention back to Phoenix, who hasn't taken his eyes off of me the entire time. I don't know why, but I want to tell him about Makayla. I mean, she is possibly his cousin.
I cautiously consider exactly how much to reveal to him.
"It looks like you want to say something. What is it?"
"Uh, Makayla really enjoyed meeting your uncle yesterday. He's...nice," I say, immediately wanting to facepalm. What was that?
Phoenix looks at me, half-amused. "You know, my uncle was just telling me a story about a woman he had history with...Diana, I think it was. She was pregnant when she just disappeared...isn't that strange? I wonder where that child could be after all this time," he muses, and I know for sure he's talking about Makayla.
As I open my mouth to speak, Zack storms into the restaurant, his face twisted in anger and hurt. "What the fuck, Selly? I've been texting you all day with no response, and I find you with another guy? Are you serious right now?"
Shit. I forgot to respond to his dinner invitation earlier.
This could be bad!
