Book 2:Unlucky
ONE: Why are you so rude?
St. Ignatius' Academy. Tito Ignatius' school, I don't get Mommy why they transferred me to SIA, they know that wherever they transfer me, everyone will still judge me. Being the mayor's daughter sucks! Plus, being the First Mafia Boss' daughter, sucks too!
Everyone is putting their own expectations on me. They are expecting me to be like my Father, or my Mother. Because, they are both excellent leaders in the underground.
Besides, I would rather be a normal citizen than have the blood of a Santillana!
"Isn't this exciting Evie? Us, in new school. That means, new environment, new friends, new ㅡ"
"Bullies?" I finished Avie off. Immediately his face frowned because of what I said.
"Oh, come on Evie! Tito Ignatius promised us that nothing will hurt us here! And plus, this school is cool!" He laughed and said, this school is cool ... well that sounds funny.
"You should atleast laughed at my joke!" Annoyed, I just shrugged my shoulders at Avie and walked faster.
"Ha Ha Ha" I sarcastically laughed. She just rolled her eyes at me.
While we were walking, I looked at my phone and saw Soren's caller ID. Soren is my younger brother, who is really spoiled. Dad spoiled her a lot, moreover Mom said Dad really wanted a son then, but Avie and I were both girls who came out.
Not our fault though. I answered Soren's call and waited for him to speak.
"Hulaan Mo?" His introduction.
"What?"
"Dad is going to pass his throne to me and not to you." I can sense that Soren is already smiling from ear to ear.
I really don't care about Dad's position in the underworld. It's not a big deal for me when it comes to Soren. And I know that Soren will be given that because he is the man. He is more suited than I am, and I don't see any problem with that.
"And?"
"Oh, nothing. I'm just sharing it to you. I thought you were going to take it from me." He chuckled. I was just blown away by what he said.
"No, I won't. I love my little brother so much that I can give it all to you." I scoff at him. I can imagine his disgusted face HAHA!
"Ew! Stop that Evie! It doesn't matter."
"What was that again?" I recall the name he called me.
"Ate." I smiled.
"Right. Now, I'll hang up. My class will start soon."
"Sure. Take care. Bye." He said and I dropped the call.
Avie looked at me.
"Is that Soren?" He asked and I nodded.
Among the three of us, Soren and I are closer. I usually bond with him because I like his trips more than Avie"s trips. Avie usually play some boring dolls, noon. While me and Soren often plays ps4, or video games.
And I really think that is so entertaining and I'm not bored.
"Soren is such a rude little brother, he won't talk to me unless I'll play with him with his cars." Avie's voice was sharp when she said that I did nothing but shrug.
Avie and I broke up because I was one year ahead of her. I immediately put my earphones on my ears and searched my assigned classroom.
I stared at my schedule, Class A – 1? Perfect, just on the second floor. When I got to the second floor I immediately entered my classroom. The noisy students immediately fell silent, they all stared at me as if they couldn't believe it.
'Isn't she the mayor's daughter?'
'So the rumors are true? Is he here with the SIA student? '
'She's hella gorgeous!'
I sat at the very end by the window and ignored the strange looks they had at me. They can say what they want but I don't have a pake. This is repeated over and over again.
In the end, Avie and I will be transferred again because of the issues that will be thrown at us. We can't live freely, and I already know that. They don't need to slap the reality out of us, again and again.
I looked in front of me when suddenly a man was standing in front of me. Right in front of my desk, I looked up at him and raised my eyebrows.
Who is this?
"Hi! I am Jizan Zoldyck. You are Evie, right?" Smiling she said. I just ignored him and moved my gaze out the window again.
I turned up the volume of the music on my earphones, until he felt like I didn't want to talk to him so he just sat in the chair in front of me.
Later, our adviser also entered. We all introduced ourselves like every normal first day of school would do. But to our surprise, the door to our classroom suddenly opened and a curly -haired man appeared before me.
She was smiling and still panting, her curly hair was messy, and I noticed a diamond earring on her left ear. Do I think men are not allowed to wear earrings as long as they go to private school?
"Excuse me, Mr. Traspe. You're not a porket old student, you have the right to be late ㅡ"
"Sorry, prof. I need to pull out some strings before going here." He jokingly said, he smiled again and that's when I noticed his dimples on both cheeks. He is cute.
"I won't tolerate this kind of act, next time! Be more responsible! Now introduce yourself." Said our prof. He nodded to our professor and immediately confronted us all.
I heard some voices of women saying that he was handsome blabla. I was just blown away by the wind and leaned my back on the backrest of the chair.
"Good morning! I am, Rigo Traspe. Nice to meet you all." He said and flashed his killer smile again, he has a bright personality huh? But, I don't like positive people like him. We definitely won't get along.
My female classmates screamed as I was left speechless. Stupid bitches, everywhere. Senior High, that's still being implemented.
I was surprised when he suddenly walked in my direction and sat in the empty seat next to me. Yeah, just great. I think this is one of the things I can fight this year.
"Hi." I slowly turned to her and raised an eyebrow at her.
"It's ugly, it's just hi." He said while still pouting, and I find it so cute. I just shook my head and focused my attention on the front.
"Why didn't you pay attention at your birthday party?" I was surprised when he suddenly whispered to me.
"What the hell, are you up to ?!" I immediately said and pushed his face away from me, what's wrong with this man ?!
"Evie ... evie ... why are you so rude?" Shake he said while still laughing.
TWO: Smile
"Mr. Jizan Zoldyck! And why are you here in my class?" I looked at the man sitting in front of me, who was already scratching his neck. Isn't he my classmate? Why is he here? Tss. Fuck boys, everywhere.
"Sorry prof, just here to see someone. Gotta go!" He said and immediately stood up and left the classroom. I find him very interesting and familiar but I just ignore him. And speaking of his surname, Zoldyck?
How is he Ninong Manzo? Is he somehow related to him? I heard Riguel tsked at my side so I barely looked at him. He also looked at me and flashed his smile again with showing his dimple.
I just rolled my eyes. Whatever!
When I had lunch I immediately went straight to the cafeteria, Avie and I met there and we sat at the same table. I noticed the annoyance on his face so my eyebrows immediately rose. This is the first time I see him not in the mood. What happened?
"Anything you want to share?" I asked her while sipping the vegetable salad I ordered, she just sighed.
"I have this classmate named Jaxryl Zoldyck, and he is annoying me too much! I can't tolerate him, super." I feel annoyed in Avie's voice so I can't help but be amazed, kudos to that Jaxryl guy for annoying Avie!
And Zoldyck? Are they Jizan's siblings? What do I use?
"Oh? What's with him?" I asked while keeping my cool and holding back a laugh.
"He keeps saying I look like bubbles from powerpuff girls because of my pigtails hairstyle!" Avie said, I was just shaken by what Avie said. Kinda true though, she's childish and very feminine.
"You should try different hairstyle though, you look ignorant in pigtails eh." I just said. She rolled her eyes at me.
"You look stupid in a messy wob too!" Nah don't believe her, messy wob is just perfect hairstyle for me. I just shrugged at Avie because of what he said.
The crowd of students at the entrance cafeteria immediately caught my attention. I looked there and raised my eyebrows when I saw the men who had ruined my day with my brother in a commotion.
Riguel, Jizan, Jax and another guy I don"t know.
'Omg! Rigo Traspe, can you be mine please? '
'Jizan !!! Jax !!! You handsome brothers! '
'Ryl Traspe! Marry me! '
Oh? Ryl? Rigo? Traspe? Siblings. My eyes narrowed because of their popularity here at SIA. Why are they popular?
Well, I admit it. They have the looks, especially Riguel, he is charming because of the curly hair and dimples. They all seem to have something to be proud of, but still. I didn't get it, they are even more famous than the senator's children here.
"Sis look, that punk is here." Annoyed Avie said as she looked at Jax. So? I am one year ahead Jax? While this Jizan guy is older than us, while I don't know about Ryl.
"Don't mind him." I just said.
But I started to feel nervous when Riguel suddenly eyed me and waved at me, okay? What the hell. What the fuck is he doing?
He is literally waving at me and flashing his smile. I rolled my eyes at him but I was shocked when the four of them started walking towards Avie and me.
Oh, shit.
"Hi, Evie! Shall we sit here?" I didn't respond.
And it seems that even if I don't agree, they will still sit in the vacant seats. Avie was in front of me and he was next to Jax next to Jizan.
While next to me is Riguel next to Ryl. I heaved out a heavy sigh. Putangina. That's all I can say.
"Evie, I heard your real name is Eveanna." Riguel said, I looked at him and I saw his annoying smile again.
"And? Why does that concern you?" I asked.
"Nothing, I just thought of calling you Eveanna instead of Evie. What do you think?" He asked with a smile.
"No."
"Why?"
"We're not friends."
"Then let's be!"
"Still no!" My voice was full to say that. He just pouted and looked at Jax.
Jax is busy annoying Avie and I can say that is effective. Super. This is the first time I saw Avie this annoyed. Avie is smiling, not shy. But just like Jax, he can be easily crushed. Pfft.
"Anyway, Evie ... starting this day here we will eat at your table. Meeting new friends is good isn't it?" Smiling Jizan asked me, I rolled my eyes again because of what he said.
"Oh, she's rude ..." Jizan whispered softly which immediately made Riguel laugh. I looked at him and I can see that he is really having fun.
"What's funny?" I can keep asking him.
"Oh nothing, I just didn't expect for you to reject Jizan. He is full of charms and I thought you wouldn't be able to get along with him, I thought you'll give in." He says.
"True." Jax commented. While Ryl remained quiet.
"Evie is the true definition of rude and savage, while Avie is kind and sweet." Jax commented again.
"Hey! Hey! Easy on your words. You can't just tell Evie that she is rude! Which is true, but no!" I heard Avie say sharply to Jax. Jax just scratched his neck because of what Avie said.
"It's okay Avie, they're just stating facts." I shrugged.
Jax clicked his tongue and smiled at me, showing his perfect teeth. I rolled my eyes again and focused myself on the food.
The tukmol also ordered and started eating. Everyone is having fun, well expect for me and Avie of course. They were the only ones laughing while Avie and I were looking for time to get stuck in the cafeteria.
Ugh! When will the bell ring? I'm disgusted here!
"Yes dude! Remember when Ryl accidentally mistook a fly for being a bee!" Jizan said with a laugh.
"And the bee stung him a lot of times!" Jax added.
"Shut up, mother fuckers. That still hurts a lot!" Annoyed Ryl said.
"Shut up too! Rylandro!" After what Riguel said, everybody burst out of laughter. Even Avie starts laughing too! What the hell? Did I think we were on the same side?
Now I'm just the outcast!
"Evie? Don't you know how to laugh?" Jizan asked while looking at me.
"She just laughs at the most corniest and awkward things." Avie said. Wait what ?! I never did that!
"Try to smile!" Smiling Jax said.
"Look at Rigo! Such a happy kiddo!" He added laughing.
"Right Evie, smile!" Rigo said smiling. I looked at them and I couldn"t help but be impatient.
"Are you forcing me to smile?" I will ask.
"Kinda. But atleast show us how you smile." Smiling Jax said again.
"Try it, Eveanna. Smiling is a light feeling." I sighed.
"No." I said with a final tone and stood up to leave.
You can't force a smile, nor happiness.

THREE: Not in a Good Mood
Tomorrow everything went normal. No one nambully with us, which is weird. Maybe Tito Ignatius is right, that no one is really going to hurt us here. This school is under his supervision so no one can hurt us because that's what he said.
Avie is back in her mood, and I'm a little surprised that she's no longer wearing pigtails. Her hair is down, and she seems to have combed it. Because I noticed the clean look of her long hair. She even has some hair clips on the side.
"What's with you today? Why aren't you wearing pigtails?" I asked her.
"Maybe you're right though, pigtails is so childish for my age." She said while twirling the end of her hair. I rolled my eyes at her and accelerated the walk towards the second floor.
We parted our ways and bid our goodbyes. When I entered the classroom, everything seemed normal. They were no longer surprised by my presence and I heard no more whispers.
I rested loosely because of that, finally! A normal school when no one can judge us!
A simple smile crept into my face when I sat down, finally. The peace I am waiting for. I grabbed my book and wore my earphones and started reading my favorite book.
But as soon as I started reading it was there that I felt the presence of a flea beside me. I sighed. Riguel.
"Your eyebrows are not creased, your face looks calm. Are you in a good mood?" I heard him ask, I rolled my eyes at him because of his awkwardness.
I just ignored him but I was surprised when he suddenly dropped a box in front of me. I put my book down and looked at the box in front of me.
"Open it." I could do nothing and opened the box, and I was surprised at what I saw.
It's books, Headset, neck pillow and eye mask? What is this for? I looked at him confused.
"I didn't bring a present for your birthday, so maybe just now. Sorry late, and someone brought you books that you may like ㅡ"
I immediately closed the box and handed it back to him. He was surprised at what I did and seemed even more confused.
"I can afford my own things." I said and turned my attention back to the reading. I saw him smile and scratch his neck while still facing me.
"It's up to you, the limited edition cover of Hunger Games is still here ..." He said softly but I could hear him clearly. Wait what? Did he say limited edition?
I sighed and immediately snatched the box back from me but he was just stronger and his grip on the box was tighter so I couldn't get it back. Fuck!
"Give me that limited edition!" I said angrily.
"No! You said 'you can buy your own things' but you bought yours." He said with a smile and I could clearly see his dimples appearing and his killer smile.
"I want that! There's no limited edition in the bookstore!" Instead of giving it to me he just shook it at me while making a no-no sign. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Fine! I'll buy it, make the price triple or quadruple, I don't care just give that book to me!" I am desperate. Just imagine the limited edition of the book you really want is within your reach but you just don't want to give it to us.
He raised his eyebrows at me. "Nah, money can't buy happiness. Try hard to get this book. I gave it as a gift to you earlier but you don't want to ..."
"I didn't notice! I didn't know it was a limited edition! Just give the freaking book to me!" Oh my god! I am so mad, I really don"t like someone who doesn"t give me what I want! Tangina naman.
"No, Evianna. I won't." He said more and stick out his tongue on me.
"Argh!" I burst out and slammed the arm chair and immediately left the classroom.
Bwisit! Annoying! I really don't like those who don't get what I want right away! It sounds so spoiled but I'm used to it, Dad spoiled me with everything, everything I want is immediately given.
But that freaking book! That Hunger Games limited edition is what I freaking want! It's annoying me big time! Really annoying!
I kicked the stone in front of me and just trampled in annoyance.
"Oh? Evie? Why are you here?" I looked up at the sudden speaker and saw Jizan sitting on the branch of the tree.
He came down from the tree and smiled at me. His looks is very different from Riguel, Jizan's feature is sharp while Riguel's is soft. But why the hell am I comparing them?
"Why do you even care?" I said angrily.
"Phew ... rude." He chuckled. I rolled my eyes at him, same old first impressions. What do I even expect?
"Why are you here? Classes starts in 5 minutes." He said more. I looked at him and raised an eyebrow at him.
"And who are you to ask me? Who are you to let me know? You aren't even my relative, you're just an adopted son of Ninong Manzo." I saw the change in his face because I said, did I hit a nerve?
"And who are you too, to criticize me?" Jizan said laughing. Critic? I am just stating facts! Stupid!
"I am not criticizing you! Get your fucking ass out away from here!" I was annoyed with him, he snickered at me so I was even more annoyed. Is he disrespecting me ?!
Ugh! The people here are annoying! I was in a good mood this morning, but because of these two! I lost my mood! They are pestering me too much!
"Woah, woah, chill there princess..I've been here before, you should be the one getting off your pretty ass out of here." He said with a smile, I glared at him.
"Shut up! You perv!" I said angrily. He just chuckled at me and shaked his head.
"You want my ass out of here and when I complimented your ass, you think am I perv? Tsk
Tsk. Ironic. "Jizan said laughing. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Whatever you say, I still see you as a motherfucking pervert jerk ㅡ" I was surprised when he suddenly approached me and covered my mouth.
"Listen to me, pretty woman ..." he said and whispered.
"Next time, you shouldn't curse a lot. It's not good to hear, just one more curse and I'll rip your pretty little mouth." He was threatening me. I immediately removed his hand from my mouth and eyed him.
Does he think I would be afraid of someone like him? Psh! He hoped for nothing! And I will never obey anyone except from my family.
"Then rip it, I will never obey anyone you stupid fuck."
