Chapter 30

ELEVEN: THREE WISHES
Fuck. First of all why did I agree to Avie"s deal with me? I don't even know what to do! Because, first of all, Riguel and I are not close! Second, I have no plans to get close to him. Last, I hate people like him, headaches!
But what can I do? I agreed to Avie"s wishes! So I can do nothing, really nothing! The only way is for me to follow him. Or else, she will throw tantrums again.
So here I am now like a fool and waiting for Riguel to come to school. I am fucking waiting for him to arrive here at the school gates, annoying right?
I was so annoyed that I stomped my foot and was so bored waiting. My eyebrows rose when I saw a car parked in front of the gate and I saw Riguel go down there with Ryl. Fudge, finally.
"Evie? Oh? Why are you there?" Riguel asked with a smile, when he walked in front of me, Jizan also got out of his car.
Riguel and I looked at him and his face was immediately serious. I tried to smile at him and he smiled at me too.
"Why are you here? You two are about to start class." Jizan said as if he was still preaching, I just snickered at him and immediately pulled Riguel inside.
"What was that?" Riguel asked with a laugh.
I looked at him and he looked at me too. We stopped walking and I immediately caught my breath. Tiresome to walk fast.
"I have to ask you a favor." I said.
"Okay? This is new. Evie asking a favor? Hmmm ..." She smiled dog -like at me, while showing off her killer smile and her very deep dimples. Tss.
"Shut up, Riguel. I was just forced too! But I really need you to accomplish this." I told him. He put his hand under her chin and narrowed his eyes as he looked at me as if he was thinking of what he was going to do.
"Alright then, what's that favor?" He asked.
"About Ryl ..." Fudge. Do I really need to do this? Is it really needed?
"Oh yeah? What's wrong with my brother?"
"Avie likes him because, and I need you to convince Ryl to like Avie too. Like, stating some good things about Avie or more." I said.
He lowered his hand and I was surprised by his sudden loud laugh. I saw other students looking at us, but I just ignored them.
"Why the fuck are you laughing?" I said angrily to him. He stopped laughing and calmed himself.
"Okay ... so you're telling me that your sister likes my brother?" Riguel's promise was unbelievable.
"Uh, yeah?"
"Your brother's weird, Ryl is really beaten up, just tell him Jax. Don't be Ryl anymore." Laughing, Riguel said, I turned to Riguel and rested deeply.
"All right, you need to do this favor for me. Or else, I won't get my reward." I told him.
"Uh-huh? What's that reward you're saying?" He asked me while raising both of his eyebrows.
"You have a lot of questions, just do it! The important thing is that you do what I ask you to do!" I promise. Riguel laughed again and my head got even hotter because of his posture.
Tangina naman e.
"You're not taking me seriously, aren't you?" I seriously question him. He licked his lips and smiled at me.
"Nah, I am taking your words seriously, but I just don't expect you to do this for your sister. I mean okay, that explains well because there is a reward, but I didn't know that you are so close." He said.
"Siraulo, why can't we be close eh we're brothers?" I asked sarcastically.
"Well, at least."
"So ????"
"So?" He traced
"Does that agree?" I asked him.
He started walking towards our building so I immediately followed him. Bwisit naman o, I still don't want to be answered by this tukmol.
"Hey, Riguel!" I called to him, but he just kept walking. Fuck!
Ah, I have an idea!
"I'll do the one you want, if you'll agree to this!" I promised, he stopped walking and I smiled. Gotcha.
When he turned around I immediately removed the smile from my face.
"Why only one? My brother's stubbornness is hard to convince." He promised, fuck you Riguel.
"Fine, two."
"Just two? My artistic brother is choosy so I'm really having a hard time." He promised again, tangina !?
"Fuck you, fine! Three! That's the last one!"
He smiled at me.
"Fine then, deal." I smirked in success.
"Three! I won't forget that!" He smiled and entered our classroom first.
Three favors isn't that bad right? Oh well.


TWELVE: Kylie Lewis
Lunch today and as usual we are all at the same table, but the only difference is that we are with Jizan's block mate. Kylie, she seems fine though. Elegant looking and mature, I also think that Jizan and I are suitable because they are both mature looking, and they have the same interests in school.
I also heard that Kylie is a Viper. Her Mommy is said to be the sister of Abbygayle Viper which is also Mommy's sister. Which only means, he's my step-cousin, but he doesn't know that because his last name now is Lewis.
How did I know he was a Viper? Riguel told me earlier. He convinced me because he got the only trait of the Vipers or of their Mom races. Being the innocent-looking" type of person. He looks innocent and doesn't hurt.
I also look innocent though, because I look like Mom. While Avie, looks like Dad. So she looks scary but really a softie inside.
"Oh! I see, I get it now Zan. So, this is just the topic we'll take for our feasib?" Kylie asked Jizan softly. I looked at Jizan and I saw he was looking at Kylie seriously.
"Yeah, that's a really nice idea. And I am sure that we can pass by using that topic." This is the first time I saw Jizan seriously, I know he is famous in this school, because of his being 'handsome' and smart.
"I'm really relying on you, Zan! I don't really don't know too much about this feasib. I'm really glad you became my partner." Smiling, Kylie said, I was just upset because of what Kylie said.
College but still don't know about feasib? What a pity for this one.
"You should start studying about feasib's, so you can help me with our defense." Jizan said and proceeded to eat.
"Yes! I will try my best just to help you."
If you ask me why I only hear them because they are in front of me. Even though, Ryl, Jax, Avie and Riguel are talking I still can't help but hear their conversation because they are in front of me.
"Hi Evie! I heard your father is going to renovate the road near Mega Mall." I was surprised when Kylie suddenly spoke to me, but I kept my cool and didn"t show that I was surprised.
I looked at her and I could clearly see the joy in her eyes. She parted her long hair and smiled at me, showing her perfect teeth. Her narrow eyes almost closed her eyes ..
"Oh, I really don't know about the things that my Dad is doing." My simple promise. He nodded at me.
"What grade is that?" She asked me.
"Grade 12, ABM." I replied, I saw the amazement on his face.
"Oh? You're planning to take over, your mom's pharmaceutical companies?" She asked. Oh god, she is so elegant, even the way she speaks and the way she moves her arms.
Is it strong in hand combat? Fudge. What am I thinking? Of course, she's not! Maybe he didn't even introduce himself to the underground organization e.
"Uh, maybe?" I'm not sure. Actually I don't have a plan yet, I just took ABM because I think that's the only way I can help Mommy and Daddy in some time.
But I really want to be a lawyer, I heard that's Mommy's first dream but it didn't go through and she chose being a pharmacist.
"You know what, when I was your age, I already planned what I'm going to take and I've made sure of everything. So, if I were you you should be smart in your choices in life so you can use that in the future. " She said. Did she just give me a moral lesson that I don't have a boyfriend?
"The hell, I care?" Annoyed I promise. I saw pure shock on her face, she probably didn't expect me to answer her. Tss.
"Well, I am just advising you as your older companion ... and I hope you'll take that advice along with your daily choices." She smiled and said, she remained respectful and elegant even though I answered her in a very informal way.
"Thanks, but no thanks. I have my own perspectives in life and you don't have to meddle with it. And plus, you're not my companion, you're just old." I said.
I saw how the smile on his face disappeared but he came back immediately. I know she's trying hard to look nice here, if she talked to Avie maybe she could tell it. But the person he was talking to was wrong.
I looked at Jizan and he is just there, eating his meal. And not giving any fuck at all.
"Evie!" I looked at Riguel when he suddenly called my name. I raised my eyebrow at him.
"We need to discuss about 'that' project." Oh, I know what he means. The favor I'm making.
"Yeah, sure. No problem, when?" He was just next to Jizan so I could easily talk to him.
"Can you make time after class?" I showed him my "okay" sign so he just smiled at me.
After lunch there were still 30 minutes before class, so I decided to go to the school garden first. I sat on the bench there while watching the butterflies flying around.
I took out my phone and decided to call Soren. But before I could call him I saw Jizan also entering the school garden. I canceled my call and assumed I hadn't seen him.
"Evie?" I looked at him again. He walks over to me and sits next to me.
"What are you doing here?" He asked.
"Time is passing, it's not time yet." I said. He nodded at what I said.
"Do you have a project with Rigo?" He asked, I immediately looked away from him because of his question. Bwisit naman.
"Ahm, yep. It's a first grading project and we're a pair." I lied. I felt him nodded.
"How about the gifts? What's that for?" He asked again.
"Why the fuck are you asking so many damn ques ㅡ" I didn't finish my speech when he covered my mouth with his palm.
I felt him went near me and whispered.
"You really are, you like to be cheap. Want me to rip your lips?" I immediately removed his hand but instead of completely removing his hand, he just slung it over my shoulder.
"Do you care if I like to swear? What are you? Brother? Dad?" I said angrily to him and looked at his face.
"What am I to you?" He asked and smiled at me, evilly.
I couldn't answer what he said and just looked at him. Why does his question seem to have a double meaning? Tangina naman.
I felt him squeezed my shoulder so I returned to my senses and immediately averted my eyes. Putangina.
"Answer my question .." he whispered. I gritted my teeth because of what he said.
"What are the gifts for?" I relaxed because that's probably all he was going to ask.
"It's a belated birthday gift from Riguel, he didn't give it to me on my birthday." I said.
He removed his hug from me and stood up, he held out his hand to me and I did not accept that and stood up alone, he laughed at what I did.
"Let's head back to class, maybe malate kapa."
When he turned his back on me, it was only then that I felt that I had been nervous for a while. What the fuck Eveanna? Why are you nervous?

THIRTEEN: Date
This afternoon nothing much was done. We just organized the club that we will join and I just chose the one that doesn't have much to do which is Journalism Club, Avie chose Cooking Club while Riguel is in Journalism Club and also a varsity in basketball.
I heard college students are also required to choose their clubs but they are different and no longer belong to high schools.
Today I am riding in Riguel's car because we are supposed to go to their house to discuss what we are going to do with Avie and Ryl. I'm really thankful that he's getting along with this because if I don't, I'll waste my reward. hahaha.
When we arrived I was amazed at the design of their mansion, it's ancient style and you can clearly see that Riguel's parents are fans of old-fashioned styles. Our mansion is modernized, so I'm surprised because this is the first time I've seen an ancient themed mansion.
"Sit there. What do you want? Juice or Tea?" He asked. Don't they have maids here?
"Just water." He nodded at me and left. I sat on their couch and looked around. Paintings are everywhere and there is a bookshelf on the side.
I approached there and I couldn"t help but be amazed at the amount of books that were here. We have our own library in the mansion but it is amazing to see that they are displayed on an ancient bookshelf.
I glanced at the frame in the cabinet next to the shelf. My eyebrows rose because of what I saw. There is a frame with their whole family, the others are individual portraits of family members.
But there was one picture frame that caught my attention. I can't help but smile, even though they are still here, I can tell right away that they are.
It's Jizan and Riguel, accompanied by a woman who seems to be very close to them. I don"t know the woman but I can say she is beautiful and regardless of having race, is she half Spanish? or german? Because his eyes are gray and his hair looks naturally brown.
"Evie?" I immediately looked at Riguel who was already dressed in a tshirt and shorts and he was also wearing slippers.
He was carrying the tray with only two glasses of water and two plates with chocolate cake.
I went back to where I was sitting earlier and Riguel set the tray down on the coffee table.
And out of that maybe out of curiosity I couldn"t help myself and I asked about what I saw.
"Who is the woman with you in the picture?" I asked while eating my chocolate cake. Riguel stopped eating and simply smiled.
"Ahm, she's Catalina Marquez." Catalina Marquez?
"Does he have a race?" I asked and he nodded.
"Half Spanish." Oh, so I"m right he has a different one.
"How are you and Jizan?" I asked.
"She's Jizan's ex-girlfriend, and my best friend." He promised.
I noticed the change in Riguel's mood so I didn't ask, he might be angry with me. Because obviously he doesn't want to talk about that woman, well I really don't care about her though, I'm just curious.
"So? What's the plan for Avie and Ryl?" When I change the topic.
"Hmm, how about we set a date tomorrow for them? But we look like barkada outing, of course we're there, and Jizan and Jax so it's not obvious." Oh, that's genius.
"All right! Okay, where else?" I asked.
"Amusement park?" I nodded at what he said, right.
"Deal. I'll tell her later." I said.
"Alright, see you tomorrow then?" He aksed, and I nodded.
"8am?" he suggested.
"8am." I finalize.
After that I went home, I saw Soren still busy at his play station. Mommy is home while Dad is not around so maybe I'll just let Mommy know. Since, he is the next one here at home.
After I got dressed I went straight to Avie's room and saw her busy with her laptop. He looked at me and smiled.
"Guess what .." I began.
"What?"
"We are going out tomorrow, together with Ryl." I saw how his face lit up.
"YESSS !!!!!! IS THIS REAL ?? !!" She aksed and I nodded, she ran to me and immediately hugged me tightly.
"Thankyou, Evie !! You're the best!" He promised and kissed my cheek. I sat on the couch inside her room and watched her hurry to run into her walk in closet.
"Oh my gosh, what should I wear ??!" I was surprised when he came out carrying the big boxes full of dresses, he went back inside and carrying his sandals and designer bags.
She came back to bring out all her jewelries, when she was shopping for clothes I should always be here because sometimes her clothes are too exaggerated for a current event so I should always be here to tell her what to wear.
I've been sitting here for more than an hour and Avie has been shopping for clothes, her room is so cluttered and almost invisible. This woman is really bad.
After 3 hours of choosing we decided that she would wear the off-shoulder, baby pink flowy dress, and her baby pink stiletto, and her baby pink louis vuitton handbag. She looks already perfect with her dress, and she added pearl earrings and pearl necklace, as if she were a virgin.
And there I realized that it was the first time we had just wandered around, and with our friends. I can't look like a rag there.
I went back to my room after helping Avie to decide what to wear.
I went into my own walk in closet and I was disappointed to see that almost all of my clothes were colorless. They are all, black, white, and gray.
I opened the cabinet that contained the boxes that were given to me that I did not use. I opened it one by one and I couldn't believe that I had a lot of dresses but I didn't pay attention.
And also some sandals, I already have a lot of jewelries and handbags, because that's how Ate Mary or Tita Savienna always give us.
After spending hours inside my walk in closet, I decided to wear a floral dress with a spaghetti strap, and white sandals with low heels because I'm tall. And, decided to choose my white handbag and to wear a silver necklace.
This doesn't look bad though. As I looked at myself in the mirror I couldn"t help but compare myself to Avie. She is very feminine. Maybe it's time for me to act like a lady now, I'm not young anymore and maybe I should start. wearing some decent clothes. So that I don't have to suffer like this anymore.
After choosing clothes, I went down to the kitchen to inform. I saw Mom busy cooking.
"Mom" I called. He looked at me and smiled.
"Yes, baby?"
"Uhm, me and Avie are going out with the Traspe's and Zoldyck's. Can I?" I asked her. She let go of the spatula she is holding.
"I will allow you to go out, but be home before 7pm. And make sure the tracking devices are on you, and don't forget to update us your whereabouts." I nodded at what Mom said and smiled.
She's really the best.
