Chapter 27

FOUR: Long Night
After my classes I went straight home. I don't want any negativity to pester me again, I'm ahead of Avie because he's supposed to do some activity. And plus, I don't want to socialize with people now, I hate everything now. I am in a very bad mood, just because of what really happened earlier. Ugh! Fuck this!
I hurriedly walked into the mansion and saw Soren playing his video games. He waved at me and I only nodded in response to him. I don't want to deal anyone now.
I hurried up to my room and immediately dropped myself on the bed. It's the only day, isn't it beautiful?
"Evianna? This is Mommy, can I come in?" I heard Mom say, from outside my room. I immediately sat up in bed.
"Yeah, come in." I said softly, the door of my room immediately opened and I was surprised to see Mommy in formal wear.
Don't tell me?
"Sweetie, you need to dress up. Our family is invited for the 40th Celebration of Lacsamana Empire .." I sighed. I knew it! I can't help but grin. This is the time of the year I've been waiting for! The anniversary of the Lacsamana Empire!
For a simple reason ... I am able to enjoy myself and I can have some quality time of my true self. And I really miss Tita Savienna, haven't seen her for a while.
Plus, I want to see my cousin. Aunt Mary's daughter, I haven't seen Aunt Mary in a long time.
"I know you're excited, but dress up now. We will be leaving 6PM Sharp." Smiling Mommy said.
I immediately ran to my walk in closet and smiled broadly. Only now am I smiling like this after how many months! I will not miss this anniversary. I knew this one would be worth it!
I looked for a black cocktail dress and boots with heels, I just put my hair in a messy wob, I wore my chokers and some of my bracelets. And my usual, dark make up.
I stared at myself at the mirror. This is perfect. This is so me. I grabbed my black purse and immediately looked at the analog clock on the wall of my room. Perfect. It's quarter to six yet, I still have time to pack up my daggers and guns.
I hurried down to the basement and saw Dad who was also standing in the Gun and Armor Room of the mansion. What is he doing here?
"I knew you would come here." Dad's simple promise, I can see his different colored eyes from the entrance of the basement.
"Dad? What are you doing here?" I asked him.
He looked at me and smiled.
"My dear Evie, you grew up pretty just like your Mom ... but I can't let you have fun for this anniversary." My forehead immediately frowned at what Dad said, what does he mean I can't be happy now? I prepared for tonight!
This is the only night that I can shine! I can't miss this day! This day is more special than my own birthday!
"But why? I need to have fun! This event only happens once in a year! And I need to have fun! I can't let this, one pass!" I moan to Dad, I really can't let this one pass! I will not allow.
Next year I'll be 18, and I will be at the legal age to join the business gatherings during the anniversary! And I can no longer do what I want, this will be the last year that I will have fun.
"Listen Evie, I know you have no interest in these kind of celebration, but tonight we are going to celebrate the truce of the Traspe and Zoldyck Empire. And they're plan to emerge their two empires." Truce? Emerge? What the hell is Dad talking about?
Does this mean that the empire of Tito Manzo and the Traspe will no longer fight? But why? What's with the change? And what does Dad mean to emerge? It is impossible for two empires to mix, unless the other empire marries someone who is from the other empire ㅡ
Don't tell me? Is someone from the both empire is going to be married ?! Well, Santillana Empire and Lacsamana Empire are not yet emerging because Mom is not the Heiress. But the Verdelle's and The Lacsamana's have high possibility of emerging because of Tita Savienna and Tito Ignatius.
"Dad is someone going to marry someone?" I asked Daddy.
"I don't know the full details yet, so better behave so that no one will please any disturbance in the celebration." I was just shaken by what Dad said.
"Since when did I ever crash the anniversary party?" I asked her.
"Ever since?" I rolled my eyes at Dad.
"No, I never did!" When I defend myself, all I did is to make myself happy! And to have fun! There is nothing wrong with what I did before!
"Oh really? During your first come you threw tantrums, the second is you embarrassed your sister I think, but the worst is when you almost killed the head of the Yui's Empire, that's when you were 14, If you can't remember. " Laughing Dad said, ah right.
I almost killed Onyx Yui, when I was 14. My bloodlust suddenly came that time and I still haven"t controlled it. He triggered me by comparing me to Avie, saying that she's better in all.
That's how my bloodlust works, by comparing me to Avie. While, Avie works by comparing me to her. It just seems the other way around. We are almost mistaken for being twins, but I am one year ahead of her really.
"But Dad! This is my last year of having fun! After this year, I'll join those stupid meetings about underground business!" Annoyed, I promised Dad, he looked at me and sighed.
"I can't pull out some strings for you Evie even though I'm the first mafia boss, you should atleast be considerate for the others." I can"t believe what Dad said, this is the first time he didn"t let me do what I wanted to do!
What the hell is happening in my world ?!
"Avionna is already ready and I talked to her, she is glad to behave for tonight. I hope you too, I don't want to have trouble greeting the two empires. Please don't be a troublesome my princess, I promise I'll buy you the rest house that you wanted after this. " I smiled at what Dad said. Finally, some good fucking business happening here.
I can behave just for my rest house in Davao. I can not wait!
"Please wear something more decent, don't look like a rebel please. And your makeup, use the light one. I already sent some clothes to your room, just get dressed. You still have 30mins."
Depressed I entered the limousine parked in front of the mansion. I can't stand this kind of look, I look like Avie! I don"t know if I"ll laugh or get angry. I'm wearing a freaking baby blue cocktail dress! And, baby blue stilettos!
My hair got some extensions and it's up to my waist, and it's freaking curled! Tangina talaga, this is not me. Annoying! I looked at Avie and she looks so lovely in her look and her different colored eyes are now shown off. What kind of thing did she wear with me while I did?
Ugh, don't ever mention it.
"Wow, Evie. Where's your rebel outfit? Why did the wind suddenly change?" Avie asked me, I just stared at her.
"Ate? What the hell? What's with your look? You look funny!" I heard Soren say that. Tangina talaga.
"Shut up Soren, I'm really going to ruin your playstation!" Annoyed by my promise, Soren just smiled at me and stuck his tongue out.
"I'll just buy a new one, but you're really funny." Smiling Soren said. I just stared at him and leaned my head on the backrest of the limo.
Mom and Dad also came in and I couldn't help but wince because Dad was there again and Mom was super clingy again.
"But baby? Just this night please? I haven't had a drink in a long time." Dad said with a fucking baby tone!
"No, Saint. You're with the kids, you need to behave too." Tough Mom said, Dad just shrugged and sighed.
"Alright, Mom." Dad did nothing but follow the boss of us all. I just laughed because of Dad's response. Such a baby when it comes to Mom.
This is going to be a very long night.


FIVE: Night Spot
When we arrived at the venue I was amazed, Lacsamana Empire has a really good budget when it comes to parties. And not to mention, Tita Savienna is the host. And she loves to party, so what do I expect? I roamed my eyes around hoping to see the people I am expecting to see.
I smiled when I saw Aldous, Aunt Mary's Son. My one and only cousin! When he saw me, a smile flashed on his lips and he immediately ran to me.
"Father Evie!" Smiling Aldous said, Aldous is 3 years younger than me. But he was able to accompany all of our trips with Soren, he and Soren are bestfriends because they are close in age.
"Woah, woah, My baby Aldous is already a big boy now, huh?" Smiling, I said, he loves it when I call him Baby, and he looks like my real brother too. He is so cute!
"Yes, sister. I'm a young man! I already have a crush." Smiling Aldous said, I act shocked. And Aldous's hair was messed up.
"Really? Your Ate Avie and I are still better than your crush." I joked. He barely thought and looked at me again.
"Uhm, not sister. She's better hehehe." I laughed at what Aldous said.
"Oh no, you don't love us Ate Avie anymore, tsk tsk." Shake shake I said, Aldous's eyes immediately widened.
"No! You and Ate Avie are still my number one girls." He immediately said, I just laughed at him.
After talking to Aldous, Dad made me sit in the assigned seats of our family. It was as if we were in a hall and our family had the most elegant table. Also, Mom's Family. The Lacsamana, where Tita Savienna was sitting.
I don't even get it why I still need to be here, I don't even know what to do. Am I used to greeting Traspe and Zoldyck? And what if they emerge? This is not my business to begin with! Hays.
"Chin up, Eveanna. I can see your salted face." I sighed and adjusted my posture, of course Mom can see anything. Even if maybe I was behind him he would see my frowning face.
The large door that was in front of us in the distance opened. And I could clearly see how the two empires would greet each other. I can see Tito Manzo, Jizan, Jax and Jurielle, all of them are adopted by Tito Manzo, and Jurielle is the only woman.
I saw Jizan look at me and smile, tangina? Are we friends for him to notice? But I admit, in fairness he looks decent. He doesn't look like a badboy around here.
They sat on another fancy and huge table on our left. The Trasps followed.
I don't know much about this family, but as far as I can see, here is Rigorio the oldest Traspe. I heard from Dad that he passed the mafia status to Ruel Traspe, their father Riguel, Ryl, another boy, and a toddler boy.
Riguel seems in a bad mood because his aura is not like at school. He's not smiley at all. He just had a poker face and one thing that grabbed my attention was his diamond earring. Tsk, as usual it shines again.
They sat on the right side of our table. The event starter has arrived so we are all quiet.
"Goodevening ladies and gents, tonight we will have a double celebration. First the anniversary of the Lacsamana Empire, and Second is the truce and emerging of the two rival empires, the Traspe's and the Zoldyck's."
Everyone applauded and the Zoldycks and Traspe stood up. Ruel Traspe and Tito Manzo went to the center. They are infront of us.
I smiled at Tito Manzo and I saw he smile at me too. Dad stood up and walked in their direction.
The event goes on until the truce is announced and they are emerging. I was so bored while looking at the people around. They are investing their business to each mafia boss and I don"t like it!
I need to get out.
"Mom, just washroom." Mommy nodded at me, Soren looked at me and smirked. I knew he knew what I was going to do, I glared at him.
Don't he dare tell Mom or Dad. He just chuckled at my reaction.
While everyone was busy I immediately left the venue. I relaxed as the cool breeze hugged me. Hah! Finally ...
This is the Lacsamana Base huh? Only now have I been here, usually because OS celebrates and I really want to go to Dad's vault because there are his weapons and armors.
But now I can't seem to enjoy it, there's nothing to see here. Outside the venue there is a fountain, and trees.
"Ditching huh?" I jumped at the voice I heard and immediately turned to the speaker.
It's Riguel, with Jizan.
"What are you doing here?" I asked. Riguel took off his suit and slung it over his shoulder.
"I saw you ditching, so me and Jizan decided to follow you." They looked at each other and Jizan just shrugged.
"So what are you doing here?" Riguel asked. Why the chatter of this one? Maybe it was too much for the appetizer.
"I'm bored inside, and obviously still bored outside. I don't want to hear business deals happening inside." I said.
"Bored huh, you want to have fun tonight?" I heard Jizan say, I immediately winced. If he means the disgusting thing that is done every night, no thanks, it's disgusting.
"Ew! Jizan that's gross, take care of you there!" I said.
"What? What are you thinking? I'm thinking about bringing you on Rigo's night spot." Night spot? My cheeks immediately got hot, what the hell Evie, your mind is so dirty?
"You Evie, didn't know you were thinking like that." Riguel teases me.
"Shut up!" I said angrily. Riguel chuckled at me.
"But do you want to go? We're both bored there." Jizan asked.
Night spot? Have fun? That's the purpose of tonight, isn't it? Having fun, and maybe going out with them isn"t that bad.
"We would love to show you the sunrise, and we can eat street foods there, or even drink." Smiling Riguel said, that sounds so entertaining.
"Sunrise? Street foods? And drink? No guns? Obstacle course? Or bombs?" Riguel's thick eyebrows rose because of what I said.
"What kind of fun are you having? That sounds scary! Not fun at all." I couldn"t help but laugh because of what Riguel said.
"What the hell? That's the kind of fun that I do! Not those stuffs. I am the daughter of Saint Santillana what do you expect?" I asked them. They looked at each other.
"You can have fun with just doing some simple things, without danger." Riguel said simply. I looked at him, and shot my brows up.
"Like?"
"Did that go to the fair?" Perya? What the hell is that? I immediately shook hands with him.
"What? What were you doing when you were young?" Riguel said laughing.
"Perya is like amusement parks"
"Ah! Like disney land?" Immediately their faces turned sour because of what I said.
"No! You stupid, it's like an amusement park but smaller." Riguel said. Oh ... I thought it's like disney land.
"I thought it was like disney land, we always went there when we were young ㅡ"
"Yeah, yeah we get it Princess." Jizan said laughing and messed up my arranged hair.
"What the hell ?!"
"What? Are you coming or not? You are wasting our time here." Jizan said simply.
What will I go with or not?
"You should go Eveanna, just so you don't get bored here." Riguel said smiling and the dimples on his cheek appeared again.
They"re right, boring here. I need to have fun and it seems like if I go with them the only thing I can do is not use any weapons. They are safe to be with, and I'm sure they won't hurt me but they'll be angry with Dad.
"So? Are you coming?" Riguel asked.
"Our friends are already waiting. Hurry up and decide." He added, are there so many of them?
