Chapter 29

EIGHT: Screwed
I spend the whole night talking to Jizan, and I admit it. He was happy to talk, and I regret being rude to him when we first talked. I already apologized to him, and he said it was okay because I also seemed to be in a bad mood that day.
When we were on our way home, it was Jizan who drove because Riguel was tired from swimming. They were all asleep in the backseat while I was wide awake and just staring out of the car. I told Jizan that I would be delivered to the mansion because the event was definitely over.
It's already 2am and I know Mommy will scold me. But it's okay, atleast I wasn't bored the whole night. I always regret why I didn't bring Avie, she might have fun as well.
"Hey, Evie. You can sleep if you want to, we're still a bit far." Back at Evie huh? I thought he would still call me Katriel.
"No, it's fine. I can manage, I'm not sleepy." I said, I looked at him for a while and I saw tiredness on his face.
I feel sorry, I'm still underage and I don't know how to drive yet. Dad is strict and he said after debut I can still have my own car. Which is really disappointing because my birthday has just passed, and I still have a long way to go to debut.
"You sure? You look tired." He said, I can't believe what he said.
"Seriously, Jizan? Eh you're the one who looks more tired satin, you should be the one resting." I said and looked back out of the car.
"Why? Would you let me rest?" he suddenly asked, I chuckled a bit.
"Of course, why not?"
I noticed the car slowing down so I looked at him again. He glanced at his wrist watch and then at me.
"Is it okay for you to get home around 3am?" I wondered at his question.
3am? After all, I will also be scolded when I get home, I will just overdo it.
"Yeah why not? Even 5am, it's okay." I said.
Jizan smiled at me and I was surprised when he suddenly stopped the car on the side of the road. I looked at him and raised an eyebrow at him.
"What the fuck are you doing?" I asked.
"I am going to rest." He says. Oh, okay.
He rested his head at the side of the car and closed his eyes. Maybe I should sleep too? This would be so boring if I was just awake and they were all asleep. Plus, they seem to be able to stay awake for a long time because they were really tired from swimming earlier.
I leaned my head on the side of the car. I was about to close my eyes when Jizan spoke again.
"Let's transfer to the back, your neck might hurt in that position." He pointed out.
Yeah right, it's a bit awkward if this position is to sleep. He got out of the car and so did I, the very cold breeze immediately greeted me so I immediately hugged myself.
Riguel's car is a USV, so it has a large space in the back for storage. Jizan and I went there and I saw him lay out the thick comforter and the throw pillows used earlier in the gazebo.
We climbed up at the back of the car and immediately lay down. I smiled at the sweetness of my feeling, I stared at the sky and I could clearly see the stars. Woah.
Jizan handed me another comforter to cover my body and I immediately accepted it and wrapped it around my body because of the cold.
Jizan lay beside me and hugged his throw pillow. He tugged himself under the comforter and closed his eyes.
"Goodnight, Evie."
"Hmm." I hummed and closed my eyes.
* * *
I just woke up because of the sunlight that hit my face. I immediately looked beside me and I realized Jizan was no longer beside me, the car is also moving too. I peeked out the window connected inside and I saw Jizan driving, while the others are still asleep.
I lay back and I received continuous notifications on my phone, I was immediately nervous and looked at the screen of my cellphone.
34 Missed Calls from Dad. 2 Missed Calls from Mom. 63 Missed Calls from Avie, and several messages.
From: Dad
Evie, where are you?
From: Dad
Your mom is already mad, go home already.
From: Avie
Where are u ????? Dad is in panic mode, he's already planning to raid this city.
From: Mom
You have a lot of explaining to do, Eveanna.
I glanced at the clock and my eyes widened to see that it was seven in the morning. I slept for a long time!
Oh fuck, I'm screwed.

NINE: Lovely
I pursed my lips as I sat on the couch in the living room. I was next to Jizan and Riguel, while in front of us was Mommy"s furious face. Mommy can be sweet at all times but she is also scary to get angry, Dad can spoil me and Evie but Mommy can never do that with us either.
I looked up and saw that Dad was just calm, while Avie seemed nervous as well. I looked at Jizan and Riguel, they are both lowering their heads.
"I'm so sorry, Tita. We are the ones who pursued Evie to come with us, she has nothing to do with it." Riguel said, I looked at Mom and she just stared at me and raised an eyebrow at me.
"Mom, I'm bored during the event so I decided to come with them. And I really think I am going to have fun going out with them."
"You ditching out is not my concern because I expected that, what I am concerned about is you not coming home last night. What do you expect me to think huh? Then the two men with you, boys and girls should not hang out during the night Eveanna. " Oh, I know what she means.
I looked at Jizan and Riguel, I saw how tensed Riguel is while Jizan seems like nothing is happening to him. How the fuck can he stay calm?
"Auntie, we didn't do anything wrong to Evie, we respect her as much as I respect your family. Besides, we have a cousin of mine, Selestine, with us." Riguel explained again.
"And who's Selestine? Where is she?" Mom asked.
"She's asleep inside the car." Jizan finally answered.
"I let Evie out, but I hope so. Let her know, not the one you're going to run away from. I will only tolerate this kind of actions once, if it happens again I will forbid you to be friends with my daughter. Understood?" Mommy asked.
"Yes Tita." Riguel.
"Sure thing, Tita." Jizan.
Mommy didn't prolong the conversation because she knew the two were tired too. They both headed out and I went up to my room, and lay down on the bed.
I stared at the ceiling and just closed my eyes. Last night was fun, I realized that you don't need dangerous activities to have fun. You can have fun in that simple ways.
My phone vibrated so I immediately looked at it.

Hey, Evie. I'm sorry about last night, promise It won't happen again. Btw, it's Rigo.
Riguel? Where the hell did he get my number? Eh I didn't give that to him?
To: Riguel
Nah, it's fine. Mom was just protective because she thought I was doomed. It's okay, I had fun actually.
Realtalk I really enjoyed being with them and I don"t regret what I did. Mommy said if the duck repeats, she will take my cards and I can't see them anymore. I understand her though, because I know she's just scared because our family is already known in this town.

I'm really glad to hear that you enjoyed last night. I thought I was bored because you can't swim.
I laughed a bit.
To: Riguel
It's not a big deal actually, I also don't know how to swim so it's okay xD
From: Riguel
Really? I can teach you someday, when you can join us at the waterfall.
I looked at the ceiling again and thought about what he had said. That would be nice, I also want to try swimming there, I can see the clear water even when I'm in the gazebo.
To: Riguel
Yeah sure, I'd love to. Nakakaumay rin constant nakatingin nalang hahaha

Yep. Madaldal karin pala? I didn't expect you to be, you look so cold and harsh always. : D
I immediately sat on the bed because of what Riguel said, my full length body mirror appeared in front of me. I stared at myself.
Cold and harsh, huh?
To: Riguel
Why do you see me as cold & harsh? hahaha
I look at my reflection and all I can see is a heartless stare from myself. Even as I looked at myself I could clearly see the coldness in my gaze. Where did I get this from?
Maybe from Dad, I once saw Dad using some of these expressions whenever he was in an organization meeting.
Mommy also told me that Dad is scary when he gets angry. But he never hurt anyone he loves.

The expression. Your eyes and body language. I was really surprised to find out last night what kind of pastime you do every anniversary. All that guns and stuffs ...
To: Riguel
Why? Do you expect me to be soft and lovely?
I am not soft nor lovely. Avie is the right one to call that, even my voice sounds rasped and seems to always be fading. My hair is almost in bob, if not just messy wob. I looked like a rebel but more decent.
Maybe gowns and dresses don't suit me. I myself look like this so I won't be mistaken for weak, I don't want the enemies to see me as a prey. I want them to see me as a predator, I want to be feared by all. Not to be loved by all like Avie.
I don't care about Avie's attitude though, I don't have a problem. Because she inherited Mom's attitude but Dad's features, but it suits her well.
As for Soren, he's a mix. His eyes are the same as Dad and Avie, I just never had such eyes. But it's okay though, because I have Mom's eyes.
I heard a sound again from my cellphone so I immediately looked at it and my lips almost parted because of Riguel's reply to me.

You are lovely though, in your own way and you have soft features. So, you ARE soft and lovely.

TEN: Please
Avie and I were in the Cafeteria and I was with Jizan, Riguel, Jax and Ryl. I looked at Avie and I saw that Jax and I are really getting better, they are close huh? Ambilis naman. As usual, they are lonely again in the things they already understand.
"Shut up Rylandro, you're not funny." Annoyed Riguel said to Ryl, I heard Jizan's loud laugh so I looked at him. He's full of happiness.
"My name's not Rylandro! So fuck off!" Ryl said.
"Whatever, I don't care about your real name. Just keep quiet and don't embarrass me more!" Annoyed, Riguel said, I was annoyed with Riguel and I could clearly see that he was annoyed.
So I couldn"t help but laugh at his face. He was very annoyed and his cheeks were red with annoyance. He looked at me and immediately the expression on his face changed.
His expression went soft and smiled at me. I immediately averted my eyes from him and resumed eating. He's really weird.
He was in front of me while Jizan was next to him on the right and Avie on the left. While Ryl and Jax were pushing me.
"Did you sleep well last night?" Riguel suddenly asked, I looked at our companions as if they hadn't heard anything. I looked at Riguel and saw him looking at me.
Is he asking me? I raised an eyebrow at him but he just smiled at me very sweetly and showed his dimples. I looked at his ear and noticed again his glowing diamond earing.
"Did you sleep well?" He asked again, I nodded at him and just kept quiet. I can't speak, maybe others will know what we're talking about. That's embarrassing.
"Anyway, I left my gift in your locker, just take it." I immediately looked up because of what he said..don't tell me?
"I left the gift, including the books in your locker." I didn"t hold back and I smiled sparingly at what he said, I nodded at him.
"Hey, that's our gift, huh? Why don't I have one ?!" I was surprised when Jax suddenly shouted next to me, I looked at him and he just smiled foolishly at Riguel.
They continued to tease about the gift that Riguel would have given me before. Until the end of the lunch break, they were still teasing.
When we got out of the cafeteria I looked at Avie and saw he was serious while talking to Ryl. We were walking back to our classrooms but I couldn't keep up because Avie was busy.
I was surprised when Jizan suddenly stepped aside from me, I looked up at him and saw him looking seriously at the road.
"What's your problem?" I asked annoyed.
"Nothing, I just realized how far our age gap is." Wait what? Where did that come from? And what do I do with our age gap? What did he eat?
"What about you?" I asked.
He then looked at me and smiled. He's handsome.
"Oh nothing, don't mind the things I just said." My eyes narrowed at him but I was surprised when he suddenly pinched the bridge of my nose.
"The fuck Jizan ?!"
"Shush, no cursing." He suddenly said and placed his index finger between my lips.
He clicked his tongue and walked ahead of me. What's wrong with that person? It's so weirdo, we can't do anything in life.
When Jizan disappeared from my sight, Avie immediately appeared next to me. I could clearly see the red on his cheek and his sly smile.
I turned my head to see Ryl and I saw him smirking. The fuck? What the hell is happening?
"Evie I have to tell you something !!" Avie screamed softly, I laid my eyes on her and raised one eyebrow.
"Promise you don't tell others?" She whispered softly, I leaned over her and nodded.
"You promise!" He said and pointed at me.
I sighed. "Fine, promise."
He quickly sat down on the bench chairs, I also noticed that the men were gone so I followed Avie and sat next to him. She giggled like an idiot and still suppressed excitement.
"You know what Evie?" His introduction.
"I like Raj ..." Raj? How the fuck is that?
"Who is that?" I asked him a confused question.
"Si Ryl! His full name is Raj Yvo Lux Traspe!" Napa-ah ako sa sinabi ni Avie, yun pala yung real name niya? I really thought Rylandro lmao.
"So what if you like him?" I asked her.
"I like him, and I want to get him. But I don't know how, so help me how .." He begged while still looking at me with her usual puppy eyes.
"No way! I won't help you, I don't know anything about that!" I immediately said.
"All right naaaaa !! His brother is close to you! Rigo!" Avie still insisted.
"And what am I going to do with Riguel ?!" I said angrily to him.
If it wasn't for my brother, I might have cursed him, he and I are really grateful.
"All right, all right, convince Rigo to make his brother date me !!!" What the actual fucking fuck?
"No !!! I will never do that, you just do it and you like it!" I said in disgust.
"Aaaahhh !!! Sige naaa, Eviieee pleaaasseee, just this one. Do this for me, pleaasseee" She pleaded.
"I don't want to, stop." I say final. He grabbed my arm and immediately shook me.
"All right !! All right !! I'll give you lunch for the whole year if you do!" Hmmm, sounds tempting, if he spends on my lunch the whole year I can save for a lot of books.
But still ...
"No."
"Pleaaassseeee !!!!!! Evie go ahead naaaa, give it to me !! This is it." He said sadly while still sulking.
"I don't like it! And what did you like there ?! You look like an addict."
"Not so !!!!! Raj is so cute and he's so smart!" She smiled and said as if she had hit a lottery sweater.
"Ah you take care of that, you like non edi you find a way!" I said. He was even more upset and tearful looking at me.
"All right please, this is the last time. After that I won't do you a favor from me." She said and grinned.
I just sighed and took a deep breath. Thank you so much and he is my brother, if not really ... pity me.
"Fine." I said and rolled my eyes.
She shouted in glee and hugged me mutiple times. And kissed my cheeks again and again.
"Yehey! Yay! I love you! I love you !!!!!" He said with a smile while doing that over and over again.
I immediately converted him and organized myself.
"So? What should I do? I'll just coconvince Riguel?" I asked. He immediately nodded.
Oh well, it looks easy.
