At the Clinic

Morning can not come fast enough. I am so ready for today. I need to look to make a good expression on Chloe. I take a quick shower to freshen up myself after the steamy dream all night long. I shave my face to look not groomed. The first expression is the most important but she might still remember me after our one night stand. I was her first and they always say that a first one for a woman is very important. Hope she still remembers me and doesn't regret what happened between us. I put on my nice business look with gray pants, a plain white button-up shirt, and a matching color suit jacket with my pants. I look good but we will see. I am excited and Ryder is in my head too. I have never seen him behave like this before but he stays silent and doesn't speak to me. I have a nice breakfast alone and enjoy the view from the dining room. Soon winter is coming and we usually have a lot of snow in my territory. At Christmas time we are usually stuck in the woods for a couple of days or weeks because no car handles that quantity of snow. Luckily we have enough food in the storage and we have enough wood to keep our homes warm. It is better to meet her now than later. After breakfast, Dario is already waiting for me in the living room. I usually let him drive me when he is in the mood and today it looks like this is the day too.

"I am coming with you. Who knows? Maybe you need a backup."He speaks joyfully. Who knows what is in his mind right now? I can't imagine all the dirty things.

"Backup for what? Pregnant women to seduce me or what? I can see you through like an open book. You want to know why I want to meet her again and where this is going. Fine, you can come and you can drive the car."I tell him and hand him the car key. I sit in the back seat while Dario drives us to the Clinic.


We arrived earlier but this gives me enough time to speak with her doctor. I look around carefully but I can't see Chloe anywhere. It is not many men around and all the women eye f*uck me and Dario when they see us. I can't blame them because we have good genes and especially werewolves are hot. Luckily the doctor has a canceled appointment so I can speak to her before she calls the next one. She is a nice human but immediately recognizes me as an Alpha and Mason Russell as the CEO of Skyland Builder Company.

"Morning Mr. Russell. I am Dr. Catherine Long. So nice to meet you in person. What can I do for you?"She gets straight to the point after we shake hands and gestures for me to sit on the chair opposite her.

"Nice to meet you too, Dr. Long. Well, I came here because a woman will come for you soon. Her name is Chloe Smith. I want you to run a full test on her."I tell her the truth because I am not sure how much time we have left before Chloe arrives.

"I see. Is there anything specific we are looking for?"She asks back immediately with raised eyebrows behind her glasses.

"I want a full test on her DNA and see if she has any sign of werewolf in her blood."

"Okay. I will do the best I can. Anything else?"

"Yes, I want to be inside the room. But she doesn't need to know that I am here."She just nods when I stand up from the chair. She leads us to a small room nearby hers and tells us to wait until it is not Chloe's time and she will sign us to come out. It is the longest forty minutes of my life before I hear Dr. Long call her name as the next patient.


****Chloe****


I woke up early because I tossed and turned in bed all night long. So many questions in my head without any answers. At some point, Alex returned and slept next to me. His embrace makes me feel safe and at home. His heartbeat calmed me and lullaby me to sleep. When I open my eyes next time I quickly run to the bathroom and empty my stomach into the toilet. When I finished cleaning myself Alex made some breakfast for me. He left a note because they called him for an emergency. He wrote on the note to meet later in the afternoon. I drink the lemongrass tea that he made me. It makes me calm and relaxes the baby too. After the tea is used I eat some toast with a big glass of orange juice. At least that one stayed in my stomach. After I watch some tv before getting ready to go to the appointment with my new gynecologist. I put on a white blouse and a nice black pencil skirt which reaches below my knees. I also put on a jacket and a knitted black hat. I get in my car and follow the GPS introductions to reach the clinic.
I arrived ten minutes before my appointment because there was an accident on the way here so I had to detour to get here. The receptionist is a lovely woman and gives me a paper to fill in my personal information on it because it is my first time here. After I finish it I hand it back to her. A couple of minutes later a woman calls my name. She introduces herself as Dr. Catherine Long. I never had a woman gynecologist before but it might be better than a man touching you down there. I tell her everything and show her my positive pregnancy test. First, she asks me to pee in a little cup so she can run some tests on it. I do as she said and until we wait for the machine to examine my pee she takes some blood in little test tubes for some more tests.

"So the pee test shows that you're really pregnant. You also need some extra vitamins and iron also."She says as she reads some results but some only finish for tomorrow.

"Doctor Long. I want to discuss some options about the baby."I fidget in my seat to speak about this theme.

"What options do you think of it? Do you want to abort the baby?"She screams out loud. Omg, it is so embarrassing to talk about things like this but I want to know all the options. I hear some noise from not far from us but it might come from the neighbor's room.

"No Doctor Long. You know I have a boyfriend and we have not been together for a long time. It is a very fresh relationship. I think the baby's father is someone else who I don't have any idea who could be. I don't think it will be good for our relationship and I can't do it alone if he leaves me. So I think about adopting the baby after it is born."I tell her honestly while I play with the hem of my blouse. I am so nervous even talking about that. She is ready to speak up but I hear a loud growl like a dog in the room. Suddenly the curtain in the corner pulls to the side with strength.

"Hell no. You won't give my baby up for adoption."A handsome man walks out behind the curtain and another man follows him. His face looks red from anger but he is also handsome. His voice sounds familiar and it is sexy even now that he is angry. He has short brown hair but is shorter on the side. In the front, some strands fall on his forehead. Straight nose, sharp jawlines, and a pair of ocean-blue eyes. He looks freshly shaved because no stubble on his face. He wears a gray business suit and a white shirt. He crosses his arms in front of his chest. His gaze finds me and looks deep into my eyes. Oh my, what have I got myself into?
