OUR LAST DAY TOGETHER

I wandered the halls of the hotel trying to cool off when I spotted Wilder seated at the lounge pressing his phone. I sneaked up to him from behind and stopped to look into his phone before announcing my presence.  Surprisingly, the picture he is staring at looked familiar.

Wait, is that me?

I was clearly asleep, it's a pic from yesterday night. He captured my face in the most embarrassing way, I was fucking drooling.

"Why do you have my picture?" I announced my presence with that question.

"Rude, you don't sneak up people like that." He yelled, turning off his phone as he got out of his seat, keeping his distance from me.

"And you don't take embarrassing pictures of people, it's creepy." I countered.

"Don't be modest, that pic is amazing." He smirked. Damn that handsome face.

"Being creepy is not a good look on you." I folded my arms as I scolded him like he was Kitty.

"Like I always say, anything is a good look on me." He half-smiled.

"Well Creep, do you have plans for the rest of the day?" I walked up to the coffee table which he had his legs on a while ago, I spotted his keys.

"Hanging with you, I guess." He bit down on his sinful lips.

"Right answer." I picked up his keys from the table, threw it at him and he caught it with one hand.

"Then let's go." I walked ahead.

"It's called modesty, google it." I have been trying to reprimand him for taking a pic of me while I was unconscious but he is making a mockery of it.

We are hiking under the hot sun, don't know why but it isn't fun any longer. We still halfway there and I am already tired but I can't wait to get to the top. Wilder says it is the most beautiful thing he has ever seen, I want to witness it.

"Okay fine, I won't take pics of you while you are sleeping." That's not the apology I was looking for but knowing Wilder, that's the only one I am getting.

I looked up at him when I heard a few shots, the assholes are taking a pic of me right now, in my sweaty state.

"What the hell are you doing?"  I raced after him, ignoring the pain I already feel in my legs.

"You are not sleeping now, right?" I stopped to catch my breath and he also stopped.

"I hate you." I glared at him as he kept on laughing.

"My feet hurt and I am tired,"  I complained. I had finished my last drop of water at the first stop.

"You said you wanted the go hiking." Like I said I really don't know why.

"Well, I have sweat in places that you can't begin to comprehend."  I am wearing a red sports bra and jean shorts. Wilder had ditched his shirt before we began walking and I am defiantly not complaining of the view.

"Take." He removes the huge backpack he has been mugging around all day, I have no clue what is in there.

"Why?" I questioned but I collected the heavy backpack.

"Back it and then hop on my back." I did as instructed.

"You sure? I don't want to break you" I asked.

"Please," he scoffed. I put my hands on his hard shoulders as he helped me up. I wrapped my legs tight on his firm waist and my arms around the neck, lightly.

Well, I can't complain about this.

"Another question," I announced. We have been playing 20 questions since we started the hike.

"Aren't your questions complete?" He started walking.

"No, I have asked 5."

"Well, it feels like 100."

"Because my questions make sense, you exhausted yours with stupid questions." Questions like; Have you ever thought of going blonde? What do you think about pizza? Do you smell your feet?.

"I haven't exhausted my question, I have 2 more questions left."

"How do you feel about death?" I asked.

"Geez, are you trying to make me sad or what?"

"Just answer, Creep."

"Inevitable." I waited for him to add more to the known word.

"Seriously?" I whined, everyone knows that death is inevitable.

That was a stupid answer.

"I haven't given death much thought, I am still trying to live. But I guess, if my time comes, I don't want to be alone when I die."

Relatable, no one wants to die without someone by their side, it's scary.

"I highly doubt you will die feeling lonely, probably with a beautiful woman in your arms." I joked.

"Sounds lonely to me if I have no relations with her." He whispered but its audible for me to hear.

"Are you tired?" I asked.

"You weigh less than the bag." He mocked.

"That was not my question, are you tired of parties and whoring around?" I wish I can see his face as I asked these questions but I am far too comfortable on his back.

"Is that your 7th question?" He doesn't want to answer.

"It's a random question"

"If you want me to answer, it has to be your 7th question."

"Is that how badly you want me to quit asking you questions?" I teased. After a moment of silence, I spoke. "Fine, my 7th question."

"Yes." He answered.

"Then why not stop?" If he is really tired, he can settle down.

"Is that the 8th question I hear?" He gave a low laugh.

"Don't answer it, I know the answer to that one," I replied. "Got any questions for me?" I have been the one asking, I have missed his stupid questions.

"No, I am going to save it for the top."

"This honestly so beautiful, I can't believe you set this." We are on this high mountain, I feel I can see entire Cuba from up here. Apparently, what as in the backpack was a picnic mat, wine, and burgers.

I can't believe he planned this.

"I never thought you had it in you, you are so cute." I teased. When I saw him pulling out all this stuff, it was just weird but cute.

"I am many things but not cute." I sat up looking at him as he laid down.

"Cute." I taunted.

"I doubt you think I am cute when I am inside you. " He sat up, making our face inches apart.

"Cute," I whispered into his ears, I moved my face to stare directly into his eyes. He moved closer trying to close the space between us but I moved my face away.

I don't think it's fair to give Cole an ultimatum while I am over here, kissing Wilder.

"Take of picture of me up here." I changed the subject, I stood up.

"Oh, now you want me to take picture of you?"

"Yes, I am conscious and asking you to."

"Sounds like a boring picture, I am going to pass." I rolled my eyes as I sat back down, grabbing my phone.

"I'll take the pictures myself." I took a couple of selfies purposely capturing Wilder in the background.

"Why are we far from the hotel?" I stopped taking pictures, putting my phone on my laps.

"Giving Cole his space so he can come to a decision."

"And what's that decision?"

"To stop all these open marriage shenanigans," I replied.

"Soooo, if he does, this is our last day together?" I turned to him but he avoided my eyes.

"Yeah," I answered. Everywhere became quiet, Wilder just kept in staring ahead.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing." He fell back and laid down.
