RUNNING AWAY

"I love you Goddamn it."

Ivy lets out a sharp breath, her heart pounding so hard that she swears can hear it beat. Her brain is on shut down, it prevents her from having to process his words and hence she has no reply.

Wilder feels that a huge weight should be lifted off him, he has been wanting to express his feelings for her for years but why does he feel like he should have just kept shut. Each passing seconds of her silence equal to small pieces for his heart-shattering.

"I-Ivy?" He whispers as he lifts his hands to touch her face, only for her shift back so as to avoid his touch.

Another piece shatter.

"Y-you can't say that." Ivy finally looks up at him, tears eyed. "You j-just can't." She throws her hands up in the air.

"Why?"

Ivy let out a dark laugh, as a teardrop. "Why?" She yells. "I have a husband and a kid, that's why?"

"Oh please," Wilder scoffs. "I'll be needing a better excuse than that."

"Where the hell is she?" Lili whines like a little child as she looks for her twin in the lobby. They were all meant to meet in the lobby and then go to the bar.

"Over there," Lacy points at Ivy and Wilder who are standing outside. Lili turns to the direction she's pointing at and behold, Ivy is there. "They seem to be in a deep conversation. What do you think they are talking about?" Lacy asks.

"Probably the sex they had." Lili mocks.

Lacy's jaw drops. "Sex? When? They are having sex? How do you know?" Lacy's tops each question with another, still processing what she believed to be impossible given Wilder and Ivy's altercations.

"I just know. If you noticed she was always looking at Wilder's direction when we were at beach and the minute he left his stupid crew, she left us too. I saw them talking and she was all awkward about the fact that whore is dating Wilder. Plus when I called one day, she was asking all this questions about Wilder having a crush one her." Lili finishes with a smile on her face like she just cracked a case.

"Wow, you really put two and two together." Lacy stares at the two in awe. "Looking at them now, I can totally see it. It would have been angry hot sex." Lacy says dreamily.

"Ewww," Lili nudges her best friend.

"It's true, I mean look at the guy." Lacy gestures at Wilder. "Didn't know your sister had it in her."

"Me neither," Lili replies.

"Poor Cole, he doesn't deserve this," Lacy mutters.

"I don't care what Cole do and do not deserve, we are on team Ivy. Get that right." Lili glares.

"Okay, okay." Lacy raises her hands up in fake surrender. "You are a good sister, you know?" Lacy teases.

"If you ever tell her I said that I will throw all your shoes in your pool." Lili points out her warning finger.

"As much as I would love to see how this conversation end, we have a bachelorette to attend." Lacy drags Lili towards the direction of the bar.

Lili takes one look at the duo, hoping her sister is okay.

"I don't need to give you a better excuse, okay?" Ivy is now pacing. "You just can't say that to me."

"I know..." Ivy stops pacing, interrupting him with a warning finger pointed at him. "Why are you doing this?"

"I am not doing anything." Wilder forces himself to say, if he is going to break down it's not going to be in front of her.

"Yes, you are." She nods, moving close to him. "Is this a joke, or payback?" She accuses.

Wilder just stands there, with pieces of his heart shattering but he is getting used to it.

"Why are you saying this?" She yells tears already in her eyes, then she starts punching his chest repeatedly but her punches aren't strong enough to push the muscular man from his spot. "My life is going great, Cole and I are in a good place. So why are you doing this?" She keeps on punching him.

"I am happy with him." She says as Wilder grabs her hands preventing hers from hitting him any further. "Can't you see I am happy?"

Quite an ironic statement since her eyes is puffy and she believes she's going crazy.

They both stare at each other for seconds but it feels like hours, breathing heavily then Wilder takes the initiative to close up the space between them. He let's go of her hands, placing his hands on her face as she melts into his hold. Their lips move in sync for a second before guilt starts tripping in and Ivy pushes Wilder away and then throws her hands to his face.

Wilder shifts his face to the left which is the direction of the slap, a smirk emerges on his face which is his defense mechanism not to show he is hurt.

Ivy shifts back, holding her hand not believing actually slapped him. "Y-you shouldn't do that, it's cheating." She mutters.

~~~
"Hey," Meghan sneaks up to Jessica who jumps up in fright spilling some of her Cheetos.
"Jesus Christ," Jessica rubs her baby bump with her left hand, then her chest in a dramatic way.
"Sorry." Meghan laughs.
Jessica has been spying on Ivy and Wilder, she has been there hiding near a pillar outside watching the scene and she finds is very interesting.
"That looks like a heated conversation, what has been happening?" Meghan asks as she watches Wilder and Ivy from a distance.
"So far, pacing, several punches, kissing, and a slap," Jessica says as she takes some Cheetos into her mouth.
"Wow, talk about a show." Meghan jokes.
"I know right? I think Wilder just told her how he feels about her." Jessica says.
As much Meghan will like to rub it in Ivy's face and tell say "I told you so", she can't help but worry about her friend. "Drama," Meghan says as they both burst into laughter.
"By the way congratulations." Meghan gestures to the baby bump.
"Thank you." Jessica smiles. Meghan spots Harvey as she is about to leave and walk up to him. "Wait," Jessica says stopping her.
"I want to apologize. I wasn't the best person to you in high school and I am sorry." Jessica pouts.
"Well, you really were a big jerk but I forgive you. I wasn't exactly a saint either so the apology goes both ways." Meghan smiles.
"True," Jessica says.
"I got to get to my date, bye," Meghan says as she walks off towards the direction of Harvey's car.
"Bye" Jessica mutters then turns back to her show.
"Oh Good, she's here," Jessica turns upon hearing Cole's voice. She panics when notices he is heading towards the duo's direction so she rushes to block his way.
Cole stares at the woman in confusion as he places his phone in his jeans. "What are you doing?" He asks, raising his eyebrow.
"Do you really want to interrupt them?" That is a dumb question, as she says it she realizes it.
"Yeah And why are so comfortable with your boyfriend talking to my wife." He asks.
"I-I..." Jessica is out of words but lucky for her Casey comes behind them. "Hey, Casey," Jessica calls in high pitched voice.
Casey rolls his eyes at his cousin, as he stops where they are. "Cole, can we talk?" Casey says weirdly.
"Y-yeah," Cole responds as they both walk towards the lobby.
"Thank you," Jessica mutters to Casey, as he leads Cole away from Ivy and Wilder.
Jessica turns back to her show, soon realizing she's out of Cheetos.
~~~

"I-I am sorry I sla-slapped you." Ivy stutters.

"Didn't hurt at all." At least not physically for Wilder.

Ivy let out a low laugh as she puts her hands over eyes.

"You know what, I will leave you alone if you look me in the eyes and tell me you don't feel the same way." Wilder didn't know why he said that because he is not planning on leaving her alone even though he should.

Ivy laughs out loud, "You are joking right?"

Wilde shakes his head in response.

"Well," Ivy moves close to him, their eyes meet. Ivy ignores the increasing raid hear beat trying to focus on saying those words. "I don't..." Ivy pauses.

She didn't realize how hard the word is or is she just making it hard. Why is she doing this? why is she letting his eyes distract her? Why can't she say it? Why is she trying to throw a bomb in her marriage and family?

"I don't..." She can't say it. Ivy backs up from Wilder to recollect and try again but something entered her and within seconds, she finds her self running into the lobby and away from him.
