LIFE IS A BEACH
~~|
"You both are pieces of shit." Jessica huffs, walking towards the shade with her hands swinging every which way.
They are on the beach, all playing beachball. To rephrase, Casey and Wilder are playing. Throughout the game they have been avoiding throwing the ball towards Jessica's direction due her little bump.
"We love you cousin," Casey yells at Jessica who's already seating on a beach chair. Seeing that Casey is distracted, Wilder serves the ball over the net catching Casey off guard.
"Dude!" Casey barks at Wilder who's doing a corny victory dance.
"The hell?" Both boys turn upon Jessica's voice, then follow the direction she's looking at and behold, people they are all trying to avoid were approaching them.
"Fuck," Wilder mutters under his breath.

"Guys, I found a place..." Ivy stops talking immediately she sets her eyes on Wilder, who in return is staring at her.
"Shit," She whispers loud enough for Cole to hear, but Cole focuses on one person in particular.
Lili and Lucy who have been snap chatting since they arrived at the beach finally looked up from their phones to see the reason why they stopped.
"You have to be shitting me." Lili's eyes move to her ex-best friend, Jessica and for a second their eyes locked.
Meghan and Harvey arrived just in time for Lili to break the awkward tension.
"Are you stalking us?" Lili walks closer to the shade Jessica is in as Lucy joins. Meghan and Ivy's exchange looks probably mentally deciding if they should move closer to witness the long-awaited fight.
Meghan makes the decision for them to take several steps forward, the guys follow suit.
"Oh please, I am here for Wilder, not that is any of your business ." Jessica spits. Trying to stay calm, she doesn't do well with confrontations but she isn't about to lose to Lucy and Lili.
"Wow, pregnant already." Lucy comments, turning to Lili as they share a look. "Didn't her poor husband die 6 months ago? The timing is not just right." Lucy asks Lili, ignoring that Jessica is listening to them.
If you are wondering, here is the history. Jessica, Lucy, and Lili were a squad, Jessica and Lili closer to each other. Jessica and Lili went to the same college together just before Lili dropped out of college to follow Jason in his Hollywood career.
They were all friends up until last year Christmas when Lili caught Jessica making out with Jason, her husband. That's why the war started.
"Oh that what whores do, I won't be surprised if she killed the old man." These words are not new to Jessica but since it's coming from Lili it hurt. She stands up matching the height of her opponents.
"As you would know, from one gold digger to another." Jessica retorts.
As they hurl insults at each other, Ivy keeps on staring at Wilder and when he turns to her direction she looks away.
"She's with a man she loves, you were with 62-year-old man for his money, how low and digesting." Lucy defends Lili, noticing that her friend is taking her time to put Jessica in her place.
"Says the woman on her 4th marriage, how many divorce money have you collected," Jessica smirks.
Meghan chuckles, seeing the three girls she hated at high school split and fighting. Her chuckle was loud enough for everyone to turn to her. She mentally scolds her self.
"Well, if it ain't the serial baby mama." Lucy mocks, making Lili laugh.
"Don't tell me he is another victim." Lili gestures at Harvey.
"At least I am fertile, while you are married for 10 years no kid." Meghan gives a quick comeback.
Before everything could explode, Wilder interjects. "I think that's enough. Most of us can't condone each other which is fine, our problems with each other are from way back and we aren't about to solve them here." Wilder pauses as he enters the shade. "We all care to have fun, we can do that without being on each other's face." Something about his tone made Ivy feel like he's talking to her, all she wants to do his talk to him.
She misses their friendship or whatever they call it.
"I agree," Cole surprisingly starts, turning to Ivy. "Babe, was about to say you found chairs for us?" Ivy nods in response to Cole's question.
"Yeah, at that corner." Ivy points ahead.
"Thank god, I can't stay here any longer to many snakes." Lili let's out a dramatic huff, walking ahead right after hissing at Jessica, Lucy follows behind her.
"These bitches," Meghan yells.
"Being with them is torture, would you please join us? I need sane people around me." Ivy pleads to Meghan.
"No thanks," Meghan says before walking away.
"Come on!" Ivy rolls her eyes at her friend's childishness.
"Sorry," Harvey mutters before following Meghan.
"Come on let's go." Cole nudges Ivy. Ivy nods after which she took one more look at Wilder, then follows Cole.
~~~
"The nerve of that bitch breathing the same air that I am breathing." Lili has been complaining since they got to their chairs.
I guess no one is enjoying the beach.
Ivy can't blame her twin for being this mad, Jessica was supposed to be her ride or die, it broke her heart to have to end their friendship.
"She is totally stalking us, what will Wilder need her help with." Lucy feeds Lili's anger.
Well, at least she still has Lucy.
"Did you see Wilder? I swear that man got hotter." Lili stares towards theirs direction.
"I know right, he must totally come for my bachelorette."
Ivy has been constantly looking toward Wilder's direction, she knows he is avoiding her.
She needs to get him alone, so they could talk.
"Hey babe, this book is totally amazing." Cole has been reading one of Ivy's stories, unbothered with the whole situation.
"Thanks, love." Ivy smiles, placing a kiss on his cheeks.
Ivy uses her side eyes to look over to Wilder's direction and behold he was no longer with his squad.
"Babe, I am going to get us drinks." Ivy immediately stands up, "I will be right back." She barely waited for his reply before she ran off.
~~~
Ivy let out a frustrated breath as she collects the drinks from the waiter, as she walks back to their shade. She has been looking for Wilder since he disappeared but he is no where to be found.
Just when she gives up, she spots that muscular body that she can recognize at any time standing alone near another shade.
"Got ya." Ivy turns dropping she had drinks bought on a platform. "I will be right back." She tells the waiter before walking over to the shade.
"Hey," Ivy mutters immediately she got in, catching him by surprise. Wilder turns to see the person he had tried hard to avoid.
"Fuck." He mentally cusses.
