MAN THE FUCK UP
IVY'S POINT OF VIEW
My eyes fluttered open, rays of sunlight escaping the window and shining right on my eyes. I closed my eyes in irritation and rolled to the other side of the bed.
I groaned on hearing movements in the room, I finally opened my eyes again, gaining the strength to sit up.
"Good, you are up." My husband carries a tray towards my direction.
"Breakfast in bed." I tucked my hair behind my ear, trying to see clearing.
"What is all this?" I smiled as he dropped the tray beside me.
"Nothing, just trying to make up for yesterday night, kind of bailed on movie night" Oh yesterday, don't remind me.
Oh my God, I had sex with another man who is not my husband and I loved it.
I feel so guilty but Cole here was probably smashing the gym bitch yesterday night.
"No, it's okay." I looked down at the tray, these pancakes look so good.
"Going to the gym?" I raised my eyebrows at my fully dressed husband, trying not to sound pissed.
"No, I have the entire day planned for us. I talked to a tour guide that's taking us around...." I interrupted Cole in excitement.
"Just the two of us?" I smiled.
"Yeah, I am just going to take care of the details and I will meet you downstairs." He walks up to me.
"Sounds great." I looked up, he his handsome face is inches away from mine. He attempts to kiss me but I shifted.
"Morning breath." I whispered.
"I don't care." He places his lips on mine, giving me a light kiss.
"See you downstairs." I just kept on smiling hard, I can feel my cheeks hurting as he walked out of the room.
I turned to my breakfast in adoration, I should probably go brush.
I slowly and lazily got out of bed, I placed my feet on the cold tiles of the hotel room.
Just then I heard my phone ring, I walked up to get my phone from the couch.
It's Meghan.
I picked it up and answered before sitting on the couch.
"Hey." I muttered.
"Guess who got a ticket to come to join the vacation?" She yelled on the phone.
I am glad she's coming but I have pressing issues that need be discussed.
"Great." I replied.
"You don't sound so excited, what's up?" That's an indication that I should spit it all out.
"Do you remember Wilder?" I could tell she's thinking from the silence coming from the end of the line.
"High school." I gave her an hint.
"Oh yeah, hot Wilder. Do you know he plays professional basketball for....," I turned to see if I was truly alone before interrupting Meghan.
"We had sex." I whispered but loud enough for her to hear.
She obviously did hear me, the loud scream and cuss words are indication.
"How did...Where did... When did...." I saved Meghan from her inability to make a sentence.
"He is here on vacay." I talked normally this time.
"You lucky bitch." She yelled on the phone, I pulled my phone away from my ear a little bit before deciding to put in on loudspeaker.
"And you are also a hypocrite."
"Excuse me?" I raised my eyebrows.
"Yes, I have always wanted to hop on that dick back in high school but y'all always beefing. Leaving me to follow the stupid "Chicks before dicks" rule." I rolled my eyes.
"So how was it?" I can't even describe how good it was, flashes of last came rushing back in.
"Mind-blowing which makes me feel so guilty."
"Girl please, you shouldn't, it's a fucking open marriage. What you should do, is hop on that dick again when you get the chance, this open marriage is not forever." I should have figured that is what she's going to say.
"I am not going to have sex with him again." I am on operation "Ignore Wilder".
Childish, I know.
"Never say never, girlfriend."

Today was fun, the most fun I have had in years and I really missed the feeling of having Cole to myself with any calls from work.
I missed us.
"Thanks for today." I smiled taking off my shoes and strategically placing near a wall.
"You are the one that brought the fun." I walked inside the bathroom to my husband who's removing his contacts.
I hugged him from behind, taking in his scent as it filled my nostrils. Cole turns already wearing his glasses, he pulls me in for a hug.
"You know the night is not over." I smiled, looking up at him.
"There's a pool with our names in it." I smirked.
"I guess you should go put on that bikini you have been talking about." I smiled because he didn't stutter.
"On it." I released him from the tight hug and walked out of the bathroom.
~~~~
"So you were saying, she's the villain?" I nodded. We are at the pool right now, talking about my recent novel.
"Mind blowing." He adjusted his glasses as he continues reading the rough drafts from my phone.
Cute.
I made myself comfortable on the beach chair enjoying the scenery, the night breeze that makes me want to sleep here overnight, everything so relaxing and calm.
I turned to get my wine from the little table only to see Wilder approaching us.
Holy fucking shit!
I faced front immediately, hoping if I seat still he won't see me.
Dumb.
I noticed he has been stopped by some girls near the entrance.
Thank goodness.
"Babe, I am not feeling so good, can we go back inside." I lied, putting my towel on my shoulders, already getting up.
"What's wrong?" I stood impatiently at how slow he was taking to get up.
"A little dizzy, can we just go?." I helped pick up his towel.
"Hey guys." I froze, I know that voice all too well.
Shit! Shit!
My husband finally stood up, a fake smile plastered on my lips as I turned to Wilder who as a mischievous smirk on his face.
He's messing with me.
"Hey, bro." Bro? Am I missing something? When did they become bros? When did Cole start using the word Bro?.
"Babe, you remember Wilder from high school?" I turned to my husband ready to pretend that this is the first time I am meeting this sinful creature.
"Oh yes...." Wilder interrupted me.
"We have met." I glared at him and what's so annoying is that permanent smirk.
"You guys leaving early?" I tried not to roll eyes.
He is testing my patience.
"My wife isn't feeling so well." I smiled at my husband.
"Really now?" Wilder raises his eyebrows at me, he knows that I am avoiding him.
"Babe, can we go?" I muttered again still glaring at Wilder.
"Yes.." Cole paused staring at me.
"What?" I asked.
"There's something on your..." He tried to say it calmly because he knows for a fact I hate insects.
"What? Where?" I panicked moving back throwing the towels on the floor, dusting my hair.
"Ivy.." Wilder called before I lost balance falling inside the pool which accompanied a huge splash.
The water so cold already as me feeling numb, I shivered, swimming towards the edge of the swimming pool.
Once I got to the edge of the pool, I saw a hand stretch forth.
It's Wilder's.
I set my pride aside and took his arm, as he helped lift me up. I set my fit on the ground with this anger in my chest, I glared at my husband who's just standing there asking if I am okay.
"Thanks." I muttered to Wilder, taking the towel he offered, I placed it over my shoulders.
"Let's go." That's all I said to Cole before walking away.
~~~~
"Is everything okay?" I scoffed at my husband's question.
He doesn't get it, does he?
"You are seriously going to ask me that?" I picked up my robe dropping Wilder's towel on the bed before wearing it.
"I- don't..."
"You stood there and did nothing." I know it's not a big deal but it's more than that.
"H-he was he-helping out already." He stuttered.
"How long are you going to let other men help out in doing your job as my husband." I yelled.
It's more than the swimming pool incident, it's the little things he does, this open marriage.
"What are ..." I spared him the pain of stuttering.
"Man the fuck up."
