Among the hunters of the Clover Branch, Wells was a very prominent figure, ranking second among the entire young generation of the Clover Branch.

Ironically, it was this second-place ranking that made this arrogant young man extremely resentful towards Cai Yutong, the acknowledged rising star of the branch who had always overshadowed him.

He wasn't someone to mess with. Driven by this resentment, Wells would often bring his two lackeys and follow Cai Yutong after she took on a commission, attempting to snatch it away from her.

He was well-informed. A few days ago, he had heard that "Witch" Judith had brought back a young hunter from the Lower District, and it seemed to be the person before him.

"Hey!" Ignoring Cui He's request for support, Wells shouted across the battlefield to Li Wei, "What's the point of sticking with Cai Yutong? Come with me, help me hold that woman back, and when I kill this mushroom person, I'll give you all the rewards for this commission. How about it?"

The mushroom person's situation now became very dire. Previously bombarded by Cai Yutong's firepower, it now faced the violent onslaught of Wells and his two lackeys, leaving it no chance to fight back.

Cai Yutong was getting anxious too. She raised her gun, ready to shoot, but Li Wei stopped her.

So far, the mushroom person had shown little besides its resilience. But in reality, this creature was not just a dumb mushroom; it had some special abilities.

Suddenly, the large umbrella-like structure that had been used as its defense swelled outward. Underneath the almost shattered surface of the umbrella fungus, large patches of white powder were squeezed out and quickly spread around.

Wells reacted very quickly. Realizing the situation was bad, he immediately stepped back, gaining some reaction space. As the white powder flew towards him, he punched forward fiercely.

This was obviously a special skill. With a heavy punch, a burst sounded. The air compressed and burst, and the white powder flying towards him was blown away in an instant, hardly touching Wells at all.

However, the two guys not far from the mushroom person were in trouble.

Cui He and Alu were almost half covered by the white powder, and then, a very horrifying scene occurred.

The white powder, when it touched a person's body, was actually a special kind of spore. It grew and spread frantically, covering the two of them in patches similar to moss.

"Ah! Ah! Ah!" There were screams of agony as Cui He and Alu suffered greatly.

The powder that touched their bodies was actually a special kind of spore that grew extremely quickly. It brutally absorbed the life force of the host in a very savage manner to achieve its killing purpose.

"It's time, let's go!" Li Wei rushed forward, reminding Cai Yutong behind him.
