Chapter 46

The crow master sat on a lustrous presider inside his magnificent chamber, with an ancient drawing encircling the entire wall.
More than a thousand crows could be seen flying all over the area, while a messenger was seen bowing in front of the crow master as a sign of respect.
Well, who wouldn't fear the crow master? The fact that he had unimaginable power, which was granted to him by his crows whenever they fed, was enough to send chills down his enemies' and soldiers' minds.

"My Lord, we got a report that he mysteriously vanished whilst reading the book." The messenger said, still bowing down as a sign of respect.

The crow master wasn't surprised by the news, and his face held no expression. He could send his crows anywhere he wanted in the whole world, speak through them, and even see through their eyes.
Even though he was already aware of the messages because he had already sent his crows ahead before the spy arrived at the temple,
He still beckoned to the messenger to continue his words. Well, that doesn't even bother him, as long as his crows get enough bodies to feed on, either from his dead soldiers or his enemies'.

"Both Noella and Sebastian are almost out of the wasteland”.The messenger concluded.

"How about my crows? I hope they have enough dead bodies to feed on?" The crow master asked.
Even though he could feel the immersive energy radiating around his body, indicating that they were feeding, he enjoyed questioning his soldiers and determining who was clever enough to work by his side.
To him, winning isn't just about power, strength, and hordes of armies. But with your intelligence, wisdom, and how you know to plan a strategy. He watched as the man looked up at him in surprise and he could read his thoughts.

Are the crows more important than his soldiers?

"Yes, they are more important than any of you here." The crow master finally answers the question in his mind.

"They are the source of my strength and the reason why I have a lot of witches and wizards fearing me." He explained further.

He looked into the messenger's mind again, and he could see that he was about to question him again. And that was enough to bring out his anger.
Without hesitation, he decapitated his head and watched as thousands of crows covered his whole body, feeding on his flesh, brain, and intestines.
He can feel the immense energy radiating around his body. He decided to send one of his crows to follow them. He was going to avenge his father's death. The people of Appolyon shall pay for their misdeeds, especially their king,Kyle Walker. He remembered the day like it was yesterday and a tear dropped from his eyes. He has been searching for Appolyon for a long time after he left thirty years ago. They completely hid themselves but now,he has found them and it is time for revenge. They will pay gravely for their sins. He let out a maniacal laugh at the thought of it.

Letting out a great cry, Oliver leapt up and kicked the first being in the chest. The force threw him back, but the man swiveled his body in mid-air and docked on his feet. Oliver bent low to avoid being slashed by a blade, and he did a double backflip to avoid being slashed by the third man's blade.

He can't summon the destiny sword but since this was still part of his imagination, Oliver knew he could use it to his advantage. He bent low to duck a blow, and he imagined two long, sharp blades in his mind.

Just like he had thought. Two blades emerged from his hand. He raised it to parry a blow from the first man, and then he kicked the man on the chest again. His survival instinct kicked in and he did a dangerous roller stunt. Just then, a blade narrowly missed his hair by inches.

He stomped his feet on the carpeted grass and used the force to lift his body as he docked. The three men followed him, and it became a battle in the air. The three men surrounded him intending to trap him in the middle, but he didn't allow them. He was dancing in the air, cutting, jabbing, and blocking their blades at the same time.

Oliver summoned all the skills he had learned. He fought like a possessed being. He knew this was the battle for the middle realm, for his life, and his friends. He wasn't willing to lose. Losing will not only cost his life, and that of her friends. Losing will mean that he will not be able to save Noella.

He was the chosen one. No one could take that title from him. He's the one. The true savior, and the one that was chosen to eradicate evil. "I'm unstoppable," Oliver screamed out loud, and the two blades blazed with fire.

His anger is taking over. The power of the true savior is surfacing. He screamed out in rage, and his body went ablaze.

At the speed of light. Faster than anything the three men had ever seen, Oliver cut into their midst. He slashed the three beings at the same time, and their bodies dropped down from the sky.

Slowly, Oliver started descending from the sky, and the dog was the first thing to welcome him. Lucky jumped on its leg and circled him, and Oliver could feel the happiness in the dog's body.

Taking a deep breath, Oliver bent down and picked the dog up before he walked majestically to the pulpit. The undead book was still shimmering and rotating in the air. Letting out a triumphant smile, Oliver stretched his hand and he grabbed the undead book. Everything turned dark immediately and before he knew what was happening, he felt a noisy thump in his head, and he went unconscious.
