Sizzling Night Of Passion
There's a hope blazing in my heart like a candle illuminating the dark room of my inner self.
A breeze fused with the air of positive vibes surrounded me while day at school. During the meeting I had with the principal and then with the staff. I felt so energetic and happy.
I was having the feeling that something really unexpected would happen today. I didn't know about the thing or what exactly would happen. But there's something supposed to take place that will shook my world and made me levitate in the air like a feather that freed itself from the set of wings fixed to the body of a birds and flew in the air, free.
I felt so delighted after having my first ever session with my students. Even though I had never wished to pursue a career like this earlier in my life but I enjoyed doing it alot. Probably, I would not have relish any other profession that much.
However, time to time my orbs followed the direction of the clock and waited for the off time. Irrespective to how much enjoying I my day there, amidst my students. I waited for the off time eagerly.
Finally, the clock stroke 2pm and the off timing bells resonated in the whole school. I felt overwhelmed all of a sudden like someone blew new life in me. Like I'd been freed from a prison after sentencing to a lifetime imprisonment.
Quickly, I packed all of my stuff and headed towards the exit.
Out on the road where in the morning a car dropped me, the same car had been waiting for me to pick me up.
I was literally levitating.
Like a feather. Light, free, and direction less.
I didn't want to be controlled and restricted by anyone but him. He lowered the glass of the window and wear off her glasses and passed a smile my way.
I flipped open the door of the passenger seat and sit in.
"You didn't need to bother yourself for me." I said.
"I know." He said plainly.
"Then why you came to pick me up. That too from the other corner of the state. I know your hospital is far away from here."
I asked.
"Because I've committed to. Once I do a commitment I fulfill it by hook or crook." He said while starting his car.
I stared at him.
"What commitment? As far I remember you have not committed me to any thing?" I spoke.
"Well, in the morning."
My mind flashed back to morning when he had asked me about the off timing.
"Oh, but that's not a commitment kind of thing."
You just asked me about my off timing. You didn't say anything like that."
I said.
"I'll buy to a pack of almonds today."
He said taking a turn on the road.
"Why so?" I said confusedly.
"You need to sharpen your memory." He said.
"Well, I really don't. However, you need to amend your behavior."
I said.
As I turned my head towards the window. White clouds had spotted on the sky as the city was busy in it own hustle and bustle. Cars were rushing in one direction or other. Some were going back to home while others to their desires destination.
Passing through the huge, mirrored buildings we had been traveling towards our destination too which was our home.
It's true that it had been only a few days that I shifted to this place which is why I wasn't aware of the route and roads. But one thing become obvious to me as the car took a left turn instead of the taking a right turn from the square. That we were not heading towards our apartment.
I dared to ask him where we had been heading to.
"This road doesn't lead to our building. Where are we going?" I asked as I turned my head towards him.
His eyes were still darted on the road and he didn't bother to answer my question.
I became frustrated at his behavior as scorns developed on my forehead, j narrowed my gaze and looked at him for several minutes.
He kept on driving without getting bothered by my gaze.
I didn't know where we had been heading to. I cursed myself at that moment for willing sitting in the car of a man whom I hardly know and just because he impressed me by his ideology one day at a restaurant.
It's your fault Grace.
You shouldn't have trusted this man.
You shouldn't have sit in his car. He's not your brother, or boyfriend. You hardly know him then why had you sat in his car.
I cursed myself.
Why. Why. Why.
I forgot the fact that he had a history of shocking me and proving me wrong.
I had I forgotten that.
I cursed myself again.
He slammed the brakes outside a a restaurant which was luckily not a Chinese restaurant and finally averted his gaze from the road to me.
"I thought you might be hungry. So, better have a lunch before going home." He said.
I looked into his eyes without blinking them for a pretty good time until it was filled with water. Not the tears of happiness or sorrow but it was the repercussions of forcing open them to stare at him.
I quickly, averted my head to not show him my tears and get out of the car. He too, stepped off the car and followed me.
"Let's go." He ordered me to follow him while walking ahead me.
I walked in behind him in the restaurant. It was an Italian restaurant. As soon as we entered, the waitress welcomed us warmly and showed us to a table, reserved by him name, Mr. Arthur.
So, he had already reserved a table for us. He pulled a chair for me as I sit on it. Then he moved around the table and sat on the chair in front of me.
"Thanks." I said.
"My pleasure." He replied.
