Result Of This Deadly Show
As Denver and I exited the room, Snow's voice called out to us from behind, echoing through the corridor. We turned to see her standing by the door with Daniel, his best friend. While Daniel was a familiar face, our interactions had been limited to mere greetings. He stood tall, his square shoulders giving him a sturdy presence, with thin whiskers adorning his chin and light hair framing his face. Taller than both Denver and me, he leaned casually against the wall, hands tucked into his pockets.
"Yes?" Denver responded as we approached them, extending a hand to Daniel in greeting.
"Hi, Daniel," I added with a smile.
Denver shook hands with him, and then Snow got straight to the point. "Do you guys know what's about to happen?"
"What's up?" Denver inquired.
"Our seniors are organizing a welcome party for us," Snow announced, excitement evident in her voice.
"Wow, that's fantastic news!" I exclaimed, sharing in her enthusiasm.
"When is it planned for?" I asked, curious about the details.
"Probably this weekend," Snow replied, her enthusiasm contagious.
"It sounds like we're in for a fun weekend," I remarked, looking forward to the upcoming event.
"Yes, yes!" Snow agreed enthusiastically.
As we chatted excitedly about the party, I couldn't help but notice Daniel's quiet presence. He seemed to be observing me with a thoughtful expression, his gaze feeling heavy on me as if he were carrying some unspoken burden.I tipped my orbs up at him and had a momentary contact with him. I was right he was looking at him with a strange thing glinting in his eyes.
Denver and Snow got busied in their own discussion of what ti wear at the party to whether the seniors had planned something exciting for them to how they can get to know t it beforehand.
All of a sudden, I felt discarded from their conversation, and both Daniel and I were left alone to observe each other and talk with our eyes. As we hardly had a conversation between us despite the fact we both studied in the same classroom and be sat in the chair behind Denver's.
A pool of brown honey was being flowed in his eyes and I felt attracted to him, the more I looked into them I began to swim in them. Despite, it had been a while now that I actually swimmed in the pool, but alone looking into his eyes have me the feeling of swimming like in real.
It was warm and cold. It was freezing me to my bones and caressing my spine with the boils perching within me. I felt butterflies fluttering in my stomach and common sense leaving my body, for it was very well aware of the limits I had set for me and informed Denver beforehand to save him from any kind of heartbreak and how could I knowing this, could jump into this dangerous pool once again, knowing that I'd suck out my abilities to swim and I would left with no other option but drowning and dieing.
Death was the ultimate result of this deadly show, called love. Be it a death that puts you under the earth or it just left you body to survive in the hell of this world as your soul fluttered behind that person whom you loved and just loved.
One of the biggest misery of life is love and loving someone with such an intensity that you forget about your true self.
It was Denver again, who pulled me out of it when I was nearly drowned into it.
"What you say?" He said shaking my arm.
"about W..hat..?"
"Where were you lost? Didn't you hear us?" Denver's concerned voice brought me back to the conversation.
"I'm right here. What's going on?" I replied, shaking off my momentary distraction.
"What do you think about trying to uncover the seniors' plans?" Snow asked, eager for my input.
"Well, I think it's not a good idea. We should probably just wait for the surprise," I responded cautiously.
Their puzzled expressions made me wonder if I had said something wrong.
"Did I misspeak?" I questioned, feeling a bit self-conscious under their scrutiny.
Both of them remained silent, their eyes fixed on me, waiting for more clarification. It was Daniel who eventually broke the silence.
"No, not at all! You're absolutely right," Daniel chimed in, offering reassurance.
"I second that," Snow added with a nod, and Denver flashed me a knowing smile.
"I had a feeling you'd say that. You're always the sensible one, ready to keep us grounded," Denver teased, lightening the mood with his humor.
As we continued to chat, Snow brought up the topic of coupling for the party.
"Oh, that sounds intriguing. So, who's going to be your partner?" Denver asked Snow with a playful grin.
I noticed Daniel's gaze shift to me, his lips curving into a rare smile.
Snow glanced at Daniel beside her. "He'll be my partner," she declared, looking at him with a hint of excitement.
Daniel's smile widened at Snow's announcement, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth at the sight. It was the first time I had seen him smile since we had begun talking.
Snow's declaration prompted a moment of reflection for me. As much as I enjoyed the camaraderie of our group, I couldn't shake the feeling of Daniel's gaze lingering on me. There was something about the way he looked at me that stirred a sense of curiosity within me, a curiosity I couldn't quite explain.
Daniel suddenly detached his back from the wall and stood erect. Denver on this burst into laughter and I tried to conceal mine as hard as I could.
"And who told you this?" Daniel raised his eyebrows at her.
"So, you won't be?"
Daniel wanted to say no right at the spot as he opened his mouth and left it unsaid. And I could understand why he did so. He didn't want to hurt her.
I smiled at him before turning around and it was in that moment I felt my head turning around and still looking at him.
