Chapter 54_ His Queen!

Now lying in each other's arms after they had freshened up together, Arya laid her head on Kane’s chest and remarked in a soft voice, “That was –was —”

"Wild?” Kane interrupted with a grin, his hands stroking her hair, and Arya hummed at him.

"Yeah. By the way, what came over you? For a moment, I couldn't recognize you. You sounded like those Alpha in the novels that I read. I didn't know you had that in you, and what was with the outfit? You harbor such lewd thoughts in you, huh?” Arya said, making Kane chuckle at her words.

“You don't know a lot about me, My Queen. I have wanted to do that with someone for years now but I wasn't tempted to do it with the women I have been with nor do I want to experience such a lovely fantasy of mine with them.” Kane said, and Arya blushed with a smile on her face.

“But you did it with me. And Queen?" Arya probed, and Kane raised her chin up as gazed at her amber eyes who were looking at him curiously.

“You are different, Arya. I have never felt this way before. You complete me, and your presence brightened my life. And yes, you are a Queen. The Queen of Kane Maranello heart and empire." Kane said, and Arya felt her heart skipping multiple beats with his words as she lowered her head down shyly with blushing cheeks.

They fell into a comfortable silence as they nestled against each other, enjoying the warmth of their bodies until Kane’s computer dinged with a ringtone, and he stood up from the bed to get it, looking at the calling ID. He glanced towards Arya and remarked, “It's Alex. He’s calling on a video call."

Arya straightened up from the bed, and rushed to the mirror, when she was sure she was dressed in a nightgown and perfect to see her brother, Arya walked back to the bed and sat beside Kane as he picked the call.

The video popped up, showing Alex and a smile spread across Arya's features at the sight of her little brother, “Hi Alex. How are you doing? I hope you are eating well? And you are not giving Chloe a headache, are you? Are you reading your books as well instead of lazing around in your room and playing games all day.”

"Hi to you too, Sis.” Alex said with a scowl on his face and continued, "I’m fine, Arya. I didn't call Kane so you can start nagging me. Calm down, sis. I'm fine, and behaving well. I'm doing well in my studies too. You have nothing to worry about.” He said and looked at Kane and commented with a happy face, "Hi Kane, I missed you so much! When are you guys coming back?”

It was Arya's turn to scowl now when she saw how happy Alex looked to talk to Kane, and the way his eyes shined. It seems Kane has taken her position in Alex's heart. Arya thought silently with an inaudible sigh.

“I missed you too, Champ. I don't know when we will return to the city, Alex. It might take some time since we are not done fixing things here.” Kane remarked, and Alex made a sad expression as he expressed his concerns.

"Does that mean the both of you will miss my birthday?” Alex asked, though his eyes were hopeful as he looked from Arya to Kane.

“Don't be sad, Alex. We will find a way to celebrate your birthday, okay? We will figure something out. Where are you? You don't seem to be in the house." Arya asked when she noticed the background of the living room Alex was through the video call. The interior looked flashy, and oozed of wealth with some unique paintings on the wall.

Before Alex could respond, Selma came back with a maid who followed behind her, with a tray in her hands, containing two glasses of milk. Placing the tray on the table, the maid courtsied briefly and left.

“Who are you talking to?" Selma asked curiously as she grabbed the laptop slightly from Alex's hands and when she saw that It was Arya and Kane. She smiled and waved at them, “Hi Arya. Hi Kane."

“Hi Selma. How are you? Alex is in your house?" Arya said, and Selma bobbed her head through the screen.

“I'm fine. Yes, I invited him over since I thought he would be lonely in the house without you so I told my Daddy about it and then, he agreed to have Alex come over, and stay with me for a while, Great, right?” Selma said, her voice dripping with excitement, and her big bright eyes shining.

“Thank you, Selma. That's so thoughtful of you. I will do my best to get back for your birthday, Alex.” Arya commented, and Alex nodded his head at her.

"I even have a very cool idea for a gift.” Kane said, and Selma raised her chin up.

"Sorry, Kane. But he already has the best gift possible.” Selma said as she throw her arms around Alex's neck and kissed him on the cheeks making Arya and Kane laugh as they watched them with amusement.

“Yeah, yeah. It's quite late over here. We gotta go guys. Love you both!" Arya said, a yawn escaping her lips and both Selma and Alex nodded as they said goodbyes and ended the call.

“Let's go to bed, Tigress." Kane said, dropping the computer on the table and getting into bed with Arya as they pulled the blanket over their bodies.
After some time, Kane spoke, “Are you sleeping, Arya?"

“What?" Arya asked, fighting the sleep that was consuming her already.

“We haven't explored Italy yet since we came. How about I take you for dinner tomorrow? I know an amazing restaurant in this area, and tomorrow, right after work, we will enjoy the best meal of your life.” Kane said as he bent down to kiss her nose.

"Alright. That sounds like a plan.” Arya said as she leaned closer to him and closed her eyes before drifting to sleep right away.

Kane chuckled when he saw that she was asleep, and he looked at her face for some time, his heart swelling for the woman in his heart who had somehow made a place in his heart and occupied his mind and heart. He didn't know what to do anymore, while having fun with Arya, he didn't know he would fall for her, so completely in love with her that he didn't want to jeopardize what they have together for anything.

Letting out a sigh escaped his lips, Kane pulled her closer to himself and in less than a second, her scent filled his nostrils as he joined her in Dreamland.
