Chapter 10
Chapter 10
“Am sleeping over,” Lucien blurted out before Diego could say anything.
“You son of a ……!” Diego sputtered.
“Why do you want to sleep over?” Diego asked as he knew Lucien had more than three penthouses in the city.
“ Why was he bent on sleeping over?” He couldn't help but to be curious.
“I have some business to take care of in this City, Diego,” was all he replied. And almost immediately he went back to his food and then picked up his cutleries munching on his food nonchalantly. He didn't seem to be bothered by the cold atmosphere around him which seemed to agitate Diego more upon watching him.
“Why come here then? If I can remember you have more than three penthouses in the city,” Diego said in his usual cold tone.
“I like this place more. Do you have any problem with that?” Lucien asked, dropping his cutleries before focusing his gaze on Diego. The two men suddenly began sending cold glares through their eyes to each other as if they were in a staring contest.
Nadine blinked twice as she watched the two men, she suddenly felt like the third party between the two lovers and wanted to leave as fast as possible.
Diego let out a sigh and eventually gave up with the thought of sending Lucien away with his cold attitude as he knew Lucien wouldn't care much about the cold attitude except he didn't want to stay. Diego was aware the moment the man made up his mind on something, no matter how hard it may seem to be, he'd surely achieve it.
That's the power Smith Lucien holds, he's an unwavering man. No amount of challenges could have him back down on something he wants.
While Nadine was busy thinking about how to excuse herself from the two men, she suddenly heard Lucien's voice.
“And why are you cradling her in my presence? Can't you wait till you both are inside your room? Tsk, Tsk.” he asked monotonously that Diego was forced to send him a deadly glare that could easily choke him to death.
“Lucien, let me tell you now, you aren't not welcome here. I won't welcome unwanted flies in my house for some time,” Diego smugly said, which made Lucien crease his brow in surprise and confusion.
“You're going to kick out your blood brother because of an irrelevant lookalike person? How dare you choose a random person over your blood.”
“You ain't even sure if she's the……”
“Enough, Lucien!” The man yelled anxiously interrupting Lucien from finishing his words.
By now, all Nadine's questions were answered by Lucien's words; she couldn't believe they were blood brothers. She wondered why she heard anything about Lucien having a blood brother or any news carrying such rumors.
It was unbelievable that she was the first person to witness and even know about them. Even though the Man had called Nadine hurtful names, she believed he must have known the type of person his brother was and thought she was among the bitches his brother has had their way with, so she didn't hold more onto it.
“Well, the second floor is now off-limits. You can stay in the guest room as it's the only room available for uninvited guests if you don't mind. And if you mind, I can have the driver send you to the hotel,” Diego confidently said with a smirk playing at the corner of his mouth, he was so sure Lucien wouldn't agree to stay in the guest room.
However, to Diego's surprise, Lucien didn't hesitate to agree. It was as if he had made up his mind to frustrate the hell out of Diego while Diego was already on the limit of losing his cool when he hadn't even stayed up to two hours.
“I love the guest room. After all, I am your guest and I should use the guest room. Am sure the bed in the guest room is the most comfortable ever,” Lucien replied with an intentional gaze before waving at the servants on standby.
Almost immediately, one of the servants immediately rushed towards Lucien, it was as if she had been eagerly waiting for an opportunity to get close to him. Of course, who wouldn't want to grab any little opportunity to get close to the second most famous billionaire Smith Lucien?
“Have the guest room ready for me in the next few minutes,” He casually said to the servant but the servant's mind had traveled thousands of miles. What she could see at that moment was Lucien seductively winking at her.
When Lucien noticed the servant standing still beside him without moving an inch, he had to look up and could see dripping hard for him. It wasn't new to the man, he was used to getting reactions like that from ladies. It wasn't surprising at all.
Nadine couldn't believe a top billionaire who has many uncountable mansions would stoop so low to use the guest room. The man seemed like someone who wouldn't always want the highest spot, whether it was power or physical space. But he agreed to stay in a guest room, when he could easily stay in the most expensive top-rated suite or his penthouse, why was he bent on doing so? Just why?
As Nadine watched the servant who was dripping hard for Lucien, she thought she could easily use that opportunity to excuse herself in their mist which she didn't hesitate to use.
“ I'm done eating. I'll leave you two to catch up,” Nadine calmly said as she immediately stood up from the man's lap without bothering to wait for Diego's response. She immediately made her way straight through the staircase but she could sense the two men's gaze on her retreating figure.
The moment Nadine left the dining room, the atmosphere of the dining room suddenly became heavier than usual. It was. as if two forces were about to collide with each other.
“Get away your damn eyes from her! She's different, Lucien,” Diego spoke up the moment Nadine was out of their sight.
“Oh, how is she different? Because she bears a striking resemblance to her? When did you become so dumb, Diego?” Lucien coldly asked as his gaze burned into the man's own.
“Give up whatever plans you have, Diego. She's gone and you need to accept that. Learn to accept reality.” Lucien said in a stern tone, there was a serious warning in his tone and a threat in his eyes as he glared at Diego.
“You're my blood brother but you don't have the right to tell me what to do. I'll retrieve her back!” Diego said with a clouded emotion in his eyes. However, Lucien didn't say a word anymore.
He knew his brother wouldn't give up on his lover just like that.
“Can you even bear to hurt her when she has her face?” Lucien asked as he tried studying his brother's expression just to know what exactly was going through his head.
“As long as I can retrieve her back. I wouldn't mind doing anything. She's all that matters to me, every other thing is worthless!” He coldly said before getting up on his feet to leave.
“You should give up before you regret it,” Lucien's cold voice stopped Diego on his track but he didn't bother to turn to have a look at the man. He has made up his mind and there was no way he would back down unless he achieved his aim.
“Come back home, brother,” Lucien said as he finally stood up from his seat. Even Diego, who didn't bother to turn around, didn't hesitate to turn around and have a look at Lucien.
“Go back and tell him, I don't want to come back home. And tell him not to send anyone to me again,” He said with his hands fixed inside his trouser pants as he dangerously sent Lucien a cold yet dagger glare.
“Have you made up your mind?”
“Yes, I have. And I do not want to be bothered as nothing will change my mind,”
“Now, if you may excuse me,” Diego said as he finally ascended the staircase without bothering to spare his brother another glance.
The moment he came, he knew he must have been sent, he knew he wouldn't have come over without any important task given to him.
The moment Diego left, Lucien couldn't help but be frustrated that he needed something to release his anger on. At that moment, he grabbed the bottle of wine on the table poured some into the glass cup, and gulped down the whole content.
“Sir, the room is ready,” A maid said behind his back but the man didn't bother to respond but his bodyguard dismissed the maid instead.
“Sir, the guest room is ready,” The guard said as he respectfully bowed to the man.
Lucien grabbed the wine and the glass cup before making his way down the guest room without bothering to spare his bodyguard a glance until he felt his presence behind his back.
“Don't follow me. I want to be alone,” He coldly said before gulping down another content of the wine.

Basil had received an order from Nadine to try to study the guards that always stay inside the mansion. She was on her way to carrying out her mission, by checking every area of the mansion to know the exact number of the guard they'd be seeing when they were about to leave the mansion.
She was trying to avoid the CCTV cameras, to avoid being suspicious, she was lurking around trying to avoid the cameras when she bumped into a strange man, she tried retreating backward but missed her steps expecting herself to fall but found her waist being held by a manly hand.
“Thank you,” Basil said as she quickly took a step back from the man. It was the first time she would be seeing another handsome fellow apart from the bastard who had her Young Miss kidnapped.
“Are you blind? Why didn't you watch where you're going, bitch?” Lucien thundered, even though he'd acted like a gentleman by preventing her from failing but he couldn't keep the fact that she was smiling even though she bumped into him.
“Wait… I just said thank you. And did you just ask me if am blind?”
“Hey! Don't be stupid! If you ain't blind also, would you have bumped into me!”
“And if I am a bitch like you said, then you're a crazy jerk in my own POV,” Basil said not backing down.
Lucien had already sniffed her blood and could sense she was a lowly omega, he couldn't believe a lowly omega like her would dare to talk down on him.
“How gusty of her to do so!” He thought but he planned on teaching her a lesson to release his frustrations.
“Did you just call me a crazy jerk, huh?” Lucien coldly asked as he moved closer to her while Basil kept moving back till her back landed in the guest room (room).
“Hey! Respect yourself! You called me a bitch, remember?!” Basil stuttered fearfully like a scared chick. She was so scared at that moment that she tried to leave but the stranger caged her on the door and almost immediately the door was unlocked which led to her being inside with him.
“What do you think you're doing? I'll scream now!” Basil hurriedly said as she tried to scare him but if unflinching was a statement that would be Lucien as he didn't even flinch.
“Didn't you just call me a crazy jerk? How about I show you the real definition of a crazy jerk?!” Lucien asked with a murderous grin that instantly sent shivers down the basil's spine.
“Ahhh!”Basil screamed in terror the moment he shoved his teeth on her neck. That was the last thing she could remember before fainting on the man's shoulder.
“What a pathetic omega!”
