Nadine's eyes widened in terror like Basil, they were both shocked to the bone that they almost couldn't believe their ears and thought they'd misheard him.

“What do you mean, Mr stranger?” Nadine asked again to kill her curiosity but the man had a nonchalant expression as if what he had demanded was nothing to him.

“Here Nadine,” The man said, tapping on his lap.

The news seemed to be eager but yet handsome that Nadine couldn't help but be mesmerized by the man's glowing, tender skin. The man looked so very young that Nadine couldn't help but wonder what he would do to be able to have huge money and live in a big magnificent mansion.

“Are you done?” The man asked, jolting Nadine who was lost in thought.

“Done with what?” She responded not trying to admit to the fact that she was lost in the man's handsomeness.“So full of himself,” she thought inwardly glaring dagger at the man.

Nadine was about to speak when Basil spoke up, “Mr stranger, My lady is unmarried, and it isn't proper for her to do such things,” Bail said, which made Nadine smile as she had the same thing on her mind.

“Cut her two fingers, Alex” The man coldly ordered, leaving the two ladies in a daze.

They were still looking confused and speechless when Nadine noticed the so-called beta Alex was truly walking towards Basil.

“Damn! The bastard is threatening her,” Nadine cursed underneath glaring at the man with hatred.

“Along as you're still under my wings, I take orders and you have to follow the orders. I rule everything here and you've to follow my rules.” The man said, his eyes dangerously darting from the entrance of the mansion back to the lady glaring at her with hatred.

“But I never wanted to be under your wings. Am not your dog!” She yelled furiously when she noticed Beta Alex was just a step away from Basil.

She couldn't take it anymore, “Miss, don't give in to this stranger, You're unmarried and you must respect your body,” Nadine heard Basil scream inside her head.

Even though she was telling her not to worry about her, she couldn't do so as Basil is her only family and wouldn't want to imagine dying for her.

Nadine watched how Basil was roughly yanked by two guards with her hand pulled out to Beta Alex in her front ready to chop off her fingers just like he was being ordered. The scene was extremely painful for Nadine, she had watched her family and the pack members brutally killed and yet she couldn't do anything or render any help but it was different this time around as she could save her.

“Cut it off, Alex,” The man coldly ordered without sparing anyone else a glance.

“Stop!” Nadine screamed out in pain and fear. She was afraid she would lose her only family and the fear of losing her was a painful thing that she never wished to witness.

“No, Miss. I told you not to worry about me,”

“It's all right, Basil. I can't stay still and watch you lose your fingers all because of my dignity. You're my only family and I don't mind losing my dignity to save you,” Nadine said with a broad smile as she watched Basil being dragged away.

Nadine swallowed hard as she stood beside the man, The man beckoned his hand at her which she unwillingly collected before he made her seat in his labs.

That was the first time they would be so close to each other that they could almost hear each other's breath.

Nadine was confused as she didn't know why the man was bent on having her sit on his lap. What exactly is he trying to prove?

“Continue eating,” He ordered, which made Nadine look at him with a confused frown.

“Listen to me and do what I want so that we can get this done in a few seconds. Or do you want me to feed you?” the man smirked evilly as he watched Nadine's expression. “I can't remember telling you I am armless,” Nadine responded, not giving room to the man flirting with her.

“You don't have to be armless before I feed,” Diego said as he seemed to be enjoying flirting with her. It has been a long time since he has used his flirting skills. The man thought it wouldn't hurt his pride to use his flirting skills on her.

“I-I'll eat,” Nadine stuttered as she wasn't used to the man's flirty side. She would prefer his cold side to the flirty side as it makes her temperature feel hot.

Their position was so awkward. Nadine had never eaten this way before, sitting on someone's lap, and not even anyone, of the opposite gender.

This felt different and her heartbeat was not able to stay calm or focused. Her heartbeat was just accelerating as she held the cutlery close to her mouth.

A moment later, Nadine heard footsteps finally coming closer and she was forced to raise her head to have a look at the person to see what it was.

Nadine's mouth dropped the moment she saw the person, she had almost thought she was daydreaming as there wasn't a way she would be seeing the person walking towards them.

The visitor's face was getting nearer so there wasn't a way she wouldn't recognize the face, even if she was sleeping she would immediately recognize Mr Smith Lucien. Of course, the man was so famous that anyone interested in the entertainment industry would instantly recognize him.

Nadine couldn't keep her cool as she was blushing extremely hard.

The man was the famous multimillionaire CEO of Starships entertainment industry who even ranked first on the list of men ladies wanted to marry. The man has graced the world with his wealth and capacity, and not because of that but with his looks. Truth to behold, Nadine had once thought the man was the most handsome man on earth she had ever seen not until she met the so-called devil that forcefully had her seat on his lap.

She would be lying to herself that the stranger isn't handsome just because of the fluid between them.

Thinking about it, Nadine realized she had stayed more than a week with a stranger she knew nothing about. She realized she didn't even know his name, she had always been calling him Mr kidnapper or Mr stranger.

Damn! How native of her for not asking!

Nadine was lost staring into the man's face even though her thoughts were on another man.

Diego caught Nadine's eye as he watched the both of them stare at each other for a while before he cleared his throat which distracted Nadine's gaze.

“I told you to eat, Nadine. Don't get distracted by an unwanted fly and just eat like I told you to,” Diego said as he glared at Lucien.

“Wait… Did this strange guy just call a famous man an unwanted fly? Like, he should be grateful, isn't it?” Nadine thought as he wondered why the strange guy would disrespect a well-known and respectful man like him.

Once the man reached the dining table, Nadine couldn't help but look up to the man. The man had a strong presence which left a huge impression on anyone that no one would be able to ignore him. The man seemed to exude the same aura as the strange man.

“Could they be brothers?”

“Could they be friends?

“Could they be lovers?”

There is a striking resemblance between the two men because they have the same cold-hearted aura. Nadine has always seen the man on TV smiling, kind, and gentle but seeing him in front of her, he looks different like another person.

“So, you're Diego's new bitch?” The man stared blankly at her as if she was nothing compared to the others.

“Wait… who is Diego? Is the stranger's name Diego?” Nadine thought but that thought didn't last long as her mind immediately went back to what Mr Lucien had called her.

“Bitch…. Wait… bitch? Did he just call her a bitch? How fucking dare him?” Nadine cursed inwardly as she clenched her fist underneath that the man who had her on his lap could sense her anger which made him smirk evilly.

Even though she was annoyed by the disgusting name the man had called her, Nadine still thought about standing up to greet the man to erase the negative image of her he might have had, After all, she thinks highly of the man.

Nadine was about to stand up to greet the man but Diego's firm mighty hand pinned her lap down so that she couldn't move her legs, stopping her from greeting the man. Nadine turned to look at the man with a creased brow as if telling him she didn't want to be rude to the visitor, even though he was rude to her.

“No need to greet the unwanted guest,” Diego said lazily as he acted like he hadn't seen the visitor in the dining room.

Nadine expected Mr Lucien to get angry and leave but the unexpected happened, the man pulled out a chair with a nonchalant expression dished out his food by himself, and started eating, not bothered by what Diego had said to him.

After a while, everyone focused on eating but Diego couldn't eat to his satisfaction due to the person seated on his legs that he ended up questioning Lucien when he couldn't take it anymore.

“So? What brought you here, Lucien?” The man asked without beating frantically around the brush. The way the man spoke to Lucien surprised Nadine who thought her mind had thoroughly been fixed on her food.

She couldn't help but think they might have a tight relationship for him to be able to speak to the man like that. After all, the man named Lucien isn't just an ordinary person, he's the second most billionaire man. The first billionaire person was unknown as it wasn't known on the internet, nobody had ever seen the person first except his name which was known, even his surname wasn't known.

“I came here because I missed you. Must I have any reason to visit you, Diego?” The man replied shortly, his response was short as if he was being forced to say something.

By now, Nadine has known the damn bastard who had her kidnap, she has known his name.

After hearing his response to the question he had been asked, Nadine was so sure they were lovers and the Diego of a guy was just using her to make him jealous.

“Damn! How dare he use her?!”

Looking at both men, Nadine couldn't help but think Diego looked younger than Smith Lucien in terms of looks.

“You don't have any reason to Miss me. Well, as you can see I am doing great and fine, can you leave now?” Diego demanded, it was as if he didn't even want the man to stay up for some seconds in his house.

Even though the atmosphere at the dining table seemed to be cold after hearing Diego's response, Nadine would be lying to herself that she wasn't enjoying the interaction between both men, especially Lucien.

It still feels surreal that she is seeing Lucien and he's in front of her eating majestically like a king, it seemed unbelievable to see the man and feel his presence. The feelings were different entirely from when she was seeing him on the TV.

At that moment, Nadine suddenly wished the man could stay longer, if possible before she left the man, she would be extremely grateful to have someone like him around for a while instead of staying alone with an annoying man like Diego, who knows nothing but to use his power forcefully on her.

“Am sleeping over,” Lucien blurted out before Diego could say anything.

“You son of a ……!” Diego sputtered.
