“What do you think you're doing, huh?” Beta Alex voice echoed through the passway, he has been standing looking at that guard who had his ear pinned on the door.It was as if the guard was trying to know what exactly was going on inside the room.

“I asked you a damn question!” He thundered furiously as he immediately brought out his gone with no hesitation of pointing it at him.

He was suspicious of the guard but seeing him trying to know what was happening inside their master room isn't enough evidence to prove he's the spy.

“Am sorry, Beta. But I heard some rough strange sounds inside the master room,” He said nonchalantly trying to avoid being suspicious and luckily his emotions were well placed in a place.

“And so?” Beta Alex asked with his finger playing with the trigger of the gun. Hoping he would see any suspicious move in his face but as expected from a guard hired and trained by his master.

“I thought there might be something wrong going inside. But it seemed to be Miss Nadine and master are the ones inside,” He said.

“Alright… You can leave,” Beta Alex said as he kept back his gun in its usual place but as the guard was about to leave a thought seemed to lingered over him.

“Are you the one on duty?” He asked which made the guard to immediately stopped on his track biting his lips while backing him. And of course, Beta Alex couldn't see his reaction since he was backing him.

“My friend was the one on duty. He excused himself and ask me to carry on with his shift,” He calmly said with a slight bow.

Beta Alex waved his hand in the air which signifies for him to leave. But as watch the guard leave, he began getting curious and more suspicious of him. But that didn't last long before he left.

While the two people were having a nice time, Lucien coldly stood at the window side smoking intensively while watching the guards on parade.

“Brother, don't blame father for being ruthless. You caused….” He said but he was immediately shut out.

The two brothers heart could be connected by any of them and they could easily know what was going on, on each of their heart.

He could feel his brother was having a nice time with a lady even though he wasn't there with them.

Lucien smirked coldly the moment he got shut down, he continued smoking like there wouldn't be tomorrow until something caught his attention downstairs.

He could see right through her despite her standing far away from her, he could see her lurking around trying to avoid the guards on parade and camara which seemed to caught the man interest.

Lucien got so immense seeing how she almost bumped into a guard but lean on the wall. The scene was so funny that he didn't know when he laughed.

“I just laughed because of something irrelevant,” He mumbled before gulping down the whole content in his glass.

NEXT DAY
The ray of sunlight glinting through the window shine brightly into her eyes as she woke up. The first thing that came to her mind was her surroundings, the difference was so clear that she immediately realized she wasn't inside her room.

Last night incident flows dramatically into her head, she couldn't believe her eyes, her actions. It was mutual and she never regretted her actions. She has always loved to to explore things like that but due to her parents restraint she couldn't.

She wouldn't mind exploring more in the future with the man as the man seemed to know how to lure her inside his trap. Especially the pet name she gave her.

“Annie, what a seductive pet name,” She mumbled before looking at the man next to her sleep soundly.

He looked innocent while sleeping that no one could ever thought a man like could be ruthless. After staring at him to her satisfaction, she tiptoed out of the bed, as not to make any single sound.

She quickly put on her dress ready to leave the room but before she could Leave as gaze went the contract agreement lying on the floor, without hesitation she picked it up and made her out of the man's room not without bumping into beta Alex who was guarding the entrance of the room.

“Good morning, Miss,” Beta Alex spoke up the moment she came outside putting Nadine in a tight spot.

“Morning, I came to collect something from your master, haha,” Nadine stuttered avoiding eyes contact. She suddenly felt like a kid under her parents watch that she had to give details of what she had done.

“Oh,” The man mouthed preventing himself from laughing out his ass.

“Yes, I came to get this,” She said before she hurriedly left the man's presence.

By the time, Nadine got back to her room, she met no one and couldn't help but sigh tiredly as she doesn't know what to say if she were to be questioned by Basil.

She walked towards the bed and let herself fall freely on the bed with the contract marriage agreement lying on her chest.

The room was quiet, the only sound the whisper of the curtains as they fluttered in the breeze. Nadine laid on her bed, her eyes closed, lost in her own thoughts.

She thought about the deals in the agreement, the man would seek revenge for her. Help her with her pursue whatsoever plan she has in mind.

The deal was really tempting but Nadine isn't the kind of woman to relax on a man, she wasn't thought like that. She believed she would be taking advantage of the man.

Suddenly, a soft voice whispered in her ear, "Where have you been since last night?"Nadine’s eyes snapped open, her heart hammering in her chest. She spun around, her hand flying to her mouth as she saw her, Basil standing in the shadows.
"Oh my God," she gasped, her voice shaking. "You scared the hell out of me!"

She had a towel tied around her chest and head which Nadine to pressed her lips against each others, she never thought she could be inside the washroom.

“Why were you scared? Did you do something wrong?” Basil asked with a smirk playing at the corner of her mouth.

“I kept waiting for you throughout last night but you never came back… Is there anything you want to tell me?” Basil asked, she was aware of the fact that she spent the night at the man's but hope to hear a reason from her.

Basil believed they're both adults and could easily make up their minds in terms of things like that.

“Go through it,” Nadine said as immediately pass the agreement to her before getting off the bed.

“What do you think? Those are really enticing but am sure it's a big nope,” Nadine said as she walked to the large mirror inside the room.

“But why do you want to say no? If you don't have the intention of signing the contract, why did you spend the night in the man you bearly know?” Basil asked, she wasn't expecting a negative response from Nadine given to the fact that spend time together.

“I don't really trust him, Basil. I feel like there's more to it,”

“But you trust him to spend the night with him? Didn't you?”

Nadine went mute already as she couldn't get the response outta her mouth.

“You're quench for revenge. Why not take advantage of it, Miss?”

“You can stay pursue your acting career. We'll have place to stay for a while. Isn't that good enough?”

“But…”

“No but, sign it. Am sure your parents would want the same,”
