Chapter 12

“I would like to do an exercise with you today, can I join you if you don't mind?” Basil asked as she felt the exercise could help her get rid of the thoughts that she found herself on the bed beside a guy.

“Of course, I don't mind. But thought you said it's stressful?” Nadine asked as she was dressing up in front of the mirror so she was able to see Basil's worried expression at that time.

“Is there anything going on with you, Basil?” Nadine asked, turning around to have a long look at her once again.

“Why say so? What could be on my mind when I am with you? I have nothing going on, Miss,” she responded with a broad smile that Nadine fell for. As she believed she might just be thinking too much.

“All right, I think they're another set of gym wear in the wardrobe. It doesn't seem to be your size but you could at least manage it.”

“All right, I don't mind. I'll manage it,”

Nadine stared at her body through the mirror, the exercise wear she had on seemed exactly like her size. It wasn't too tight or too big. Even some ones she had put on during the days were exactly like her size. It was as if they had already gotten it for her before her arrival inside that room.

“ Come, you're thinking too much, Nadine,” Nadine thought to herself, wiping the damn thoughts off her mind. She believed she was just being worried, thinking the clothes could have been gotten randomly for the visitors that had been visiting him.

Thinking about it, Nadine realized she was thinking too much as she remembered what Diego had said to her he passed by and decided to save her after hearing her plea.

By the time they got to the gym, there seemed to be someone, if not one, because about four guards were guarding the entrance of the gym.

Nadine made to enter the gym but was instantly stopped by the guards at the entrance which made her furry her brow in confusion wondering what could have happened.

“ Our masters are inside, you should wait till they are done. Then you can now enter,” The guard responded fearlessly, making Nadine swallow hard while trying to keep her cool.

She was kept in the mansion, not even kept, she was kidnapped, hiding in his mansion without allowing her to leave or have much freedom on her own. Now she was told she has to wait outside just because it's his exercising session.

“Go inside and tell your master, if he still wants me to stay till he's done, then I won't have a problem staying,” Nadine said nonchalantly. She doesn't want to appear weak or frustrated in front of those guards. She wanted to be fearless and luckily it worked for her.

She could see the guards contemplating but when they realized she wasn't the weakling type one of them instantly made his way inside to pass the message to his master just like he was being told.

Minutes later, The guard who had gone to relay the message rushed back to the spot and bowed respectfully at Nadine “Am sorry Miss, you can go inside,” The guard said giving way to them.

Nadine knew they must have looked down on them based on their status, she's human while Basil is an omega. They looked down on them but luck was on their side that made things go favorably for them.

“Woaw, can't believe they allowed us to enter the moment they told him we wanted to enter,”

“Miss, does he like you? Isn't it strange that he kept us inside his mansion, giving us good clothes and food? Even though he doesn't know you from anywhere,”

“Could it be that he likes you, Miss? But he should have done it more straightforwardly even if he does. I know no one can easily resist the temptations of having a beauty like you,” Basil said gushing happily on her own while Nadine just stood still watching her expression.

Seeing her expression made her smile a little bit. She has been trying so hard to stay as happy as possible. She believed she had no reason to stay happy anymore since everyone who put a smile on her face was gone but only Basil was the reason she was smiling.

“I think you're thinking too much. Because I don't believe in such and I can't trust a person like him easily,” Nadine said, she didn't tell Basil about Diego's superpower that he has used on her. She didn't want her to be scared or think that she had gone mad as it would be a little bit hard to believe.

“Hmmm, okay. If you say so,” Basil said before they finally got inside and almost immediately the towel in her hand fell off the moment her eyes landed on the second man beside the man who had kidnapped and kept them in his custody.

“What is he doing here?”

“Damn! What's that bastard doing everywhere? Why is he in my sight, just why?” Basil thought clenching her fist underneath in anger as the scene of the morning incident came flowing inside her head.

She had thought she could get rid of the thoughts ringing inside her head but never thought coming here would add more to her problem. She wanted to leave as fast as possible but she couldn't, she had already entered.

The moment they stepped inside, Diego's gaze landed coldly on Nadine. They were putting on the same wear which seemed to piss off the man as it brought thousands of years of memories.

“Why do you have that on?” He blurted out before he could stop himself. He could see she was also confused for a moment.

“Are you asking me that? I saw it inside the wardrobe. So do you have a problem with me having that on my body? If you have a problem with that, you can easily kick me out of your mansion,” Nadine said coldly before walking to the usual machine she likes to exercise with leaving Lucien.

“What the heck, brother!”

“I like bitches like her!”
