The man sat in his study, his eyes fixed on the screen, as he watched the woman engage in conversation with his brother. His jaw was clenched, his brow furrowed, his body stiff with tension.
He watched as she laughed, her face alight with joy.

The man was listening to all their conversation how she kept on calling Lucien her big boss. That alone makes the man to feel agitated.

Suddenly he heard Lucien mouthed the word “Start,” and almost immediately, he could see the seriousness in those eyeball of hers which the man had to focus his attention on her to know what exactly was going on.

At the end of everything, the man got immersed in her acting but still he couldn't help but feel agitated that Lucien was the first person to be shown her acting skills.

His hands curled into fists, his mind swirling with jealousy and anger.
He rose from his chair, his strides purposeful and powerful as he made his way to the door.

Lucien wiped off the stuff that seemed to be tears of his face before anyone else could see it. He tried believing that he didn't cry because of her emotions acting but because the breeze was too much. It was a bit hard for the man to admit to such.

“ What do you think, boss?” Nadine asked in anticipation. Her expectations were high after seeing how the man had stylishly wiped off the tears with the back of his thumb.

“I'll have my personal assistant to reach out to you the moment the company have a suitable manager for you,” The Man said as he stood up.

“What the heck?!”

“Does that means have been hired?”

“Does your industry really want to have me signed under them? What the hell!”

“It's unbelievable!” Nadine screamed out, she doesn't know whether she was having a dream or it was her reality.

She never thought she would made it to the industry, she never for once thought a day like that could easily come her way.

“I won't disappoint you, big boss,”

“ I promise to ship you my capacity… And am glad that you have trust in me,” Nadine said, she wanted to jump on the man's legs due to how happy she was but the man cleared his throat notifying her that someone was standing behind her back but Nadine was too occupied.

“Does that means I have done a great job?” She asked but got no response from the man. Nadine followed the man's gaze which landed on a tall familiar figure standing behind her back.

“Seems you're having a great time, isn't it?”

“Have been here for a while and yet you didn't realize someone was standing behind your back,” Diego coldly said.

“That's because you didn't make your presence known, if you had made it known, I would have known you were standing behind me,” Nadine coldly responded without to spare the man a second glance.

“Can we talk for a minute?" he asked, his voice low and dangerous as he narrowed his gaze all over her. But the woman didn't even look up from her conversation.

"I'm busy," she said, her voice cold and dismissive.

The man's eyes narrowed, his temper flaring like a match struck in the darkness.

"You'll talk to me, now," he growled, his hand reaching out to grab her by the arm.
But the woman shrugged him off, her eyes flashing with defiance. "I don't have time for this," she spat, her voice dripping with contempt.

“How dare the man make her feel worthless and yet try to control her life or movement?” Nadine thought not bothering to give the man a listening ear rather she only stared at the man in her front.

The man's rage knew no bounds. His hands gripped the woman's slender waist, his muscles taut with anger as he hoisted her over his shoulder. Nadine gasped, her eyes wide with shock as her world tipped upside down. She flailed and kicked, her fists pounding uselessly against his back.


"Put me down!" she screamed, her voice raw with fury. "How dare you touch me!"

“Put me down, bastard! What makes you think you have access to anything you want!”

“Am not interested in speaking with you. Can you just let go of me and fuck off, huh?” Nadine yelled, by now the guards guarding had their gaze fixed on them, they looked speechless and stunned.

Even the servants couldn't believe the sight that they had just witnessed. They couldn't help guessing where the lady got the audacity to mess with the man who has saved her.

After all those drama, the man remained unmoved, his jaw set with determination as he carried her from the room and threw her on the bed without hesitation.

“ You'll have your first punishment,” Diego said and the tension in the room became thick, a palpable force that seemed to vibrate in the air. The man's face was red, his eyes blazing with fury, his body rigid with repressed rage.He clenched his teeth, his breathing coming in short, hard gasps.

"You will listen to me," he snarled, his voice low and deadly.

But the woman's expression remained unmoved, her face a mask of cool indifference until she saw the man getting ride of his clothes.

“What do you think you're doing, huh?” Nadine stuttered fearfully while shifting back on the bed.

“What does it seems like am doing, huh?” Diego asked as he finally get rid of the trouser pants he hand on leaving him alone in his short.

Diego was about to get on the bed but Nadine actions Made the man stopped midway. As Nadine immediately moved to the wall near the bed side as a threat to stop the man from from getting on the bed.

“If you don't want me to have my head struck on the wall then do not trying getting on the bed,”

“Stay far away, Diego!”

“How dare you ignored me like a plague and then decide to come to me when you wantm? Fuck off!” Nadine cursed angrily not giving the man any room for an explanation.

“Chill, Nadine. I gave you some time just to think about the contract agreement. I never ignored you and I'll never do that,” Diego said before he could stop himself from being silly.

His words were so silly at that moment but the man only realized that after saying it.

“You had a change of mind about the contract agreement, didn't you? Stop lying!”

“Did you think I was expecting else after we had a streamy night together? Even though I might be native. Am aware it's nothing but lustful act, No string attached,” Nadine yelled feeling pissed with the thought about the man giving her a false hope.

Diego went to the window side backing Nadine without saying anything “You are going to stand over there without saying anything, right?” He heard but still stood still without response to her.

“Your brother hired me to be an actress under him,” Nadine coldly said.

“And what do you plan to do next?”

“I appreciate the fact that you saved me. But Diego we're nothing but strangers who met coincidentally. Since we met coincidentally, then we should leave the same way we met.”

“You want to leave?” He asked.

“Yes, I want to. I can't depend on you.” Nadine muttered as she made her way to the door but her retreated immediately she heard the man's words.

“You really did s great job throwing yourself at Lucien. But little did you know I have 68% shares under starlight entertainment,”


“ Little did you know am the president of the entanglement. Am sure you wouldn't have believed me if I told you I could get you a job without having to do that ridiculous………,”

Nadine was like a balloon ready to burst with the anger that was running through her vein. She wanted to release her anger on the man after hearing the garbage the had just spilled at her.

She rushed towards the man, ready to slap the man but the man held her hand in the air and pulled her close to him by her waist while staring at each others.

“I can give you anything you want. I'll give you anything you want except you wanting my love. So why not stay with me for the rest of your life,”

“I'll help you seek revenge. I'll make sure those people regret killing your family. I'll give you an opportunity to pursue your acting career. I'll give you everything you yarned to have, anything you desire, Nadine!”

“Just yes and be with me for the rest of your life and you won't have to suffer till eternity,” He said by now Nadine was already struggling so hard to pushed the man far away from her but she couldn't.

“Let's go of me! Am I really a trash to you!” Nadine screamed.
