Chapter 13
Chapter 13
Lucien was still in a daze, he never thought the lady could be so straightforward and blunt to his brother. No lady had ever spoken to him in that manner, he could see the difference in her just like he had said.
Maybe she could be different but he believed all ladies were the same and no difference.

AT THE TERRACE.
The sunlight danced across the terrace causing the man in a golden halo that seemed to highlight every inch of his chiseled physique. His chest was broad and muscular, his arm sculpted with lean, as he stood with a glass of wine in his left hand while smoking intensively with his right hand.
Lucien was enjoying every bit of himself, he found pleasure in smoking and wouldn't hesitate to smoke whenever he wanted pleasure.
He was about to gulp down the content in his glass cup when he heard a cough in a feminine tone. He was aware his brother did smoke so there wouldn't be a way he would be affected by the smoke.
“Show yourself,” He said nonchalantly as he chopped off the cigarette butt in the small jar next to him.
And just like he expected, Nadine showed up behind him but the man was still backing her.
“I hate the smell and the smoke of the tobacco,” Nadine said as she briefly coughed, she was allergic to things like that, so she had to voice out her thoughts.
She had been standing on the other side of the terrace enjoying the view on her own when the smoke and the smell bombarded her, killing her feelings. She believed she got there first which was why she followed the smoke and it led her to the shirtless person smoking.
She felt so shy seeing a shirtless man but that doesn't stop her from feeding her eyes. Lucien stood still with his shirtless back to her, his body angled slightly away from her. But Nadine couldn't take her eyes off him, her gaze drawn to the way the muscles in his shoulders tensed and released as he inhaled and exhaled the tobacco.
She has yet to see the person's face but she believes the person is no other than Diego. She knew the man had a killer body structure through clothes, so she believed he was the one standing.
Nadine's gaze moved down the man's body, following the lines of his back, the elegant curve of his spine. His trousers hung low on his hips, emphasizing the powerful V of his lower back, his buttocks firm and toned.
She swallowed hard, her breath coming in quick, shallow gasps as her body responded to the sight of him. The man seemed to be intentionally torturing her with his well-toned, and good structured body. Nadine wanted to reach out and touch him, to run her fingers along the lines of his body, to feel the heat of his skin against hers but she immediately retreated her hand back when she heard his voice.
“Is my brother's body not attractive enough?” Lucien coldly spoke before her hand could touch her back. He could see her expression dramatically go down the moment he turned around to face her.
The drooling expression instantly vanished which made him grin evilly as he seemed to notice the disappointment on Nadine's face.
“Disappointed huh?” He asked as he walked to the chair to pick up his shirt and immediately put it on before taking his seat.
“Of course not. You have a manly body, I can't help appreciating it. Nothing more,” Nadine said as she also took her seat next to him. Not caring if the man would mind her sitting beside him as she believed the seat was meant for anyone.
“What a fearless bitch,” Lucien thought the moment he saw her sit down beside him. The other ladies he has met have always been a scared chick but she was different just like his brother has said to him.
“So does the smoke coming from my cigarettes stop you from enjoying the view?” Lucien asked after some moment of staring into the space.
“Yes, I came to tell you to stop. After All have been here before you.” Nadine nonchalantly said in response.
Lucien couldn't help staring at the movement of her lips that were dancing to and fro. Exactly the way Annie was outspoken, everything about her was the same with Annie but he knew they were different.
He kept staring at her face not knowing what to say. He has never been that amazed in his life.
“Do you plan on staying here under my brother's watch?” Lucien asked.
“Nope, I don't want to stay under your brother's watch but your brother kept me captive that I can't step out of the mansion for weeks now. Who does that?”
“I appreciate the fact that he saved me from my father's enemies but he shouldn't use that to hold me down. After all, we were nothing but strangers,” Nadine said, as she thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to tell Lucien. Just to change the man's mindset about her being one of his brother's bitch.
“Do you have anywhere to go?” Lucien coldly spoke after giving her a listening ear for a moment.
Nadine was taken aback by his questions, she never thought a day would come when she'd be on the same seat as the second most famous billionaire and would even have him speak to her.
“I don't have anywhere to go but it's better to leave and find my way than stay under the wings of a stranger whom I do not know his motive towards me,”
“We plan to get a daily basis job before I pursue my acting career,” Nadine said.
“We? Acting career?” Lucien asked, confused by her use of words.
“Yes, me and Basil. She's my one and only family. And yes, I have always had a passion for acting,” She said.
“I plan on applying to the starlight entertainment industry. Would you mind having me under your company, Boss?”Nadine said with a puppy look.
