CHAPTER 60
Melissa's POV
'Maybe that was why Reynold could not get a chance with his own mate, what a douchebag." I laughed.
'Well, we are douchebags too, my beautiful annoying sister." Jason, my brother said coldly and I rolled my eyes at him.
'Well, we do not pretend that we are not douchebags, at least. That is our strong point. Him, on the other hand, likes to think he is better, and that he is a saint, ha ha. Imagine that." I clicked my tongue and drank all of the liquid in my shot's glass, bottoms up.
Killian who had been quiet all this while shook his head.
'You guys should be careful." Killian said and I sighed inwardly. 'I do not think that Aloha Rock would like to see his children wasted after only a few hours."
'You are saying that like he would actually see us." Jason said, a trace of sadness could be detected in his tone. Then he said in a much chipper voice.
'Well! Not that we care anyway." Jason turned to me. 'More shots, sister?" He grinned, his smiling face and eyes was obviously a mask of the true emotions he had on his face.
I could see through it, because it was the same for me, but looking at Killian's face, with a soft frown on his lips, it almost felt like he could see through it all. Like he understood our pain.
goddess, why was he not even my mate?
I groaned outwardly and then both Jason and Killian's head turned, and I could feel their eyes resting on me. I pretended not to notice, until a strong gust of wind blew and I raised my head, my eyes meeting Killian's immediately.
I held gazes with his smoldering face, and I doubt if he even knew what kind of face he was making. He was shirtless and I was tempted to look down again, to see the lines and edges and planes of his body, to where the rest disappeared into large sweatpants, but I could not do that. Not when he was still looking at me.
'Are you okay?" He asked and in a moment of weakness, my eyes briefly flickered to his lips, before I caught myself and raised my eyes upwards to meet his forest green eyes that seemed to glow in the low light of the lamp we had brought.
No, Killian. I am not okay. I want to leave this place, and have you come with me, and I want to wrap my hands around your body and do unspeakable things to you, you have no idea, trust me.
goddess, I was not in the right frame of mine, and I needed to control my alcohol intake before I would start spilling my uncontrollable thoughts out of my mouth.
'Yeah." I replied with a wink and took another shot's glass and filled it to the brim, drinking everything at once against my better judgement.
'I am alright, trust me." I said and he nodded, rubbing his nose. With his sculptures body, one would think that a long, hard nose was what would be prefect for him, but his nose was very soft.
I know that because I accidentally-on-purpose nudged my hand against it earlier today. Very soft.
As he looked away, I realised that I had finally got the opportunity I had been waiting for and then I began to have my fill of whatever it was I could see from the very, very attractive male.
Dear goddess, even his neck was attractive to me! How was that even possible? Was this how it would feel like if I met my mate? Or was it possible that he was my mate already and I was not just the only one ignoring urges? Was it possible that everything I had been experiencing, he had been going through the same issues just as well?
My hear raced at the thought, and my eyes traveled further down to his abdominal muscles, and oh my goddess.
The soft light of the very dim orange light casted dark under tones on his skin and stomach and added an even more edgy look to them, and his bronze skin shone even more. And ten, as if he was giving me my personal strip tease show, or something similar, he turned around, his face to my face and I had to fight the choking gasp that nearly spilled out of my mouth.
His back was straight, and in the position he sat in, he looked like a big bad wolf ready to devour any peeping female.
And unlike a lot of were wolves with stronger bodies, he did not have any intricate designs or markings on his body, none that I had seen anyway, and that made him give out a ‘I am a bad guy, but I can also be very soft' vibes.
Then he suddenly stood up and stretched, and I almost hyperventilated. I could have sworn that he was trying to rile any female within a ten mile radius up. I continued to ogle at his body, especially the lovely, incomplete ‘V' the rose from the band of his sweatpants.
And then after performing his stretch act, he just upped and walked away without telling anyone where he was going. And he went in the direction opposite the rest rooms, so, that meant that he was not going to use the bathroom, obviously.
'You like him, don't you?" The voice of my brother jolted me back to reality.
'Huh?" I scrunched my nose and lips to look at Jason.
'That Killian guy. You are attracted to him, obviously." He said, rolling his eyes as if he had said the most obvious thing in the world.
I only clicked my tongue, not willing to tell him if what he had said was correct, or to deny it.
'Just know that we are on the look out for a spy, not your next hook up partner." Jason said in a bored tone.
'Of course I know that." I said, snapping at him.
I was attracted to him, but I definitely was not stupid. Work came before anything else, and work meant father, to the both of us. We knew what we stood for. With a sigh, I stood up and followed Killian, that is, I went in the direction that he left.
Maybe we could even use to the privacy to turn things up a notch or two. I smiled to myself as I continued to walk. I eventually caught up with him— or his outline, that is. I wanted to calm out to him, but that would not seem so-
attractive.
I decided to walk over and do my thing, hoping that that would be much better. That is, until Killian brought his phone out from his pocket and went into the car.
Well, that did not seem shady at all. I tried to look into the car from the distance I was at when I remembered that Killian's car had tinted glasses, so I would definitely not be able to see inside unless the window was rolled down.
So much for going to try to make him attracted to me, am I right? I thought with a sigh and went back. Maybe he had to talk to his mother, or sister.
Or maybe that wife his mother was always talking to him about, well, that was what he usually told us anyway.
He better not be mated, or else I would— I do not know what I would do, but it definitely would not be something peaceful, or with pretty rainbows with it.
I stayed and watched, hoping that he would be done with whatever it was he was doing in about five minutes, but even after a while, he was not done yet.
Or was he—
The thought of it had brought a hot red blush to my cheeks and I tried to push the idea out if my mind, but still.
The idea of the were wolf I was attracted to touching himself, stroking his length brought about a different kind of need for him to me. My hand drifted down towards my nether regions, but thankfully, I stopped myself immediately.
What if someone saw me? What a foolish thing fir me to try to do.
Just how crazy would it sound if someone said that they had seen the alpha Rick's daughter standing outside, touching herself in places that should not even be touched in public?
I shook my head to clear my thoughts before I saw my brother approaching, and then I proceeded to act cool and so not flustered before he got to me.
'You are here." I said in a cold voice as his footsteps approached my back.
'Yes I am." He replied in an equally cold tone.
'What if Killian and I were making out? Or engaging in other fun activities that a brother should never see his sister engage in?" I asked him.
'Oh, I was sure that that was not going to happen." He laughed. 'I only came here because I do not trust Killian completely."
'You are saying that as if you trust me completely." I laughed at the irony of it all's
'I trust you not to kill me, at least." He said and came to stand beside me. 'Where did he go?"
I was silenced by his initial reply and I hesitated a bit before answering. 'He got into his car. I do not know what is going on there."
'The fact that he has tinted windows makes him suspicious enough." My brother, Jason said. Then he looked at me.
'Let us go. There is no use in staying here, waiting outside for a were wolf in a tinted vehicle." He said.
-
I was playing on my phone when Killian returned. He cleared his throat to announce his presence.
'Sorry, I had to go somewhere." He said.
'You could have at least told us that you were going somewhat. We could have escorted you." I said, not taking my eyes away from the phone in my hand.
'Yes, that was rude." Jason said. 'A ‘I will be back later, guys' would have been better."
'Yeah, about that, I am sorry. I saw Melissa looking at me, so I thought she saw when I left." He sighed and I could feel my cheeks burn in humiliation.
'What do you mean by that? My sister watching you, that is?" Jason asked and I took my eyes off my phone.
'No. Not like that, I mean, I saw her looking at me for a while, like, we even had a weird kind of staring contest. I lost, she is a good player of the game." He said with a nod and I almost died out of embarrassment.
I turned my eyes ro meet Jason's and he gave me an ‘I told you so' look, making me laugh out loud out of nervousness.
Turning to Killian, I asked.
'So, where did you go, Killian? Did you just go to take a stroll or something?" I nodded at him. 'You went to have fun without us, didn't you?"
'Um, actually." Killian scratched the back of his head. 'I went to the park's headquarters to go and fetch something. It was work related actually, I was supposed to do it earlier, but then I had forgotten about it all day." He shrugged with a smile that would have fooled anyone, including me.
He would have fooled me if I did not see him go to the private sector and stayed there for more than thirty minutes in it.
'Um, I have to go now, so..." Killian started off.
'It's no problem." Jason said with an easy going smile.
'Goodnight, Killian." I waved at him, with a smile, but deep down I was dying to unlock the mystery around him.
Moments later after he left, Jason asked.
'What are you thinking?"
'We need to get a hold of his phone."
