CHAPTER 61

Maya's pov
It was night and time for me to go to bed… along with Asher. We decided to spend the night together and I couldn't say I wasn't excited about it. A night never passed as just a night between I and Asher, never!
I took a sexy nightdress from my room and went to his room to have a shower then I dressed up and laid on the bed, waiting for him to come upstairs from whatever discussion he was having with Daniel and Tommy. I waited for a while and when I didn't see him, I decided to sleep with my disappointment. Guess he just wanted to pass the night with me then.
Soon I was out and I had a dream… it felt real that I would think it was actually happening in reality but it wasn't and that made it scary, it wasn't a dream, it was more of a nightmare.
I saw a man carrying a bag that looked kind of big and really heavy. He was running with all his might and energy that was left in him. He ran like his life depended on it and his feet were bare without shoes so he had blisters all over, his toes bled and his toenails were shagged but he still kept on running. I tried to see what was inside the bag but it was like I was there but wasn't there at the same time. It felt like I was watching a scenario that had happened before so I couldn't interrupt or change anything, I just watched with my curiosity at its peak but I still struggled to stay patient until the end.
The man stopped and breathed hard, he was obviously in pain from running for such a long time but he showed no signs of stopping even though his legs looked like they couldn't make it. He gently dropped the bag and began to shift. After bones snapped and he groaned in pain, he changed into his werewolf form and I gasped, he was a white wolf! I had never seen one except myself before and he was magnificent, he was really beautiful and I could see why people adored the white wolves because I was captivated too.
He carried the bag with his teeth and began to run again while panting hard in pain. I still watched silently as my confusion heightened but I still wanted to see it to the end. He finally got to the entrance of a pack and shifted back to his human form; in just shorts and a slightly torn shirt. I didn't know this man but I couldn't help but feel my heart ache for him deeply as I watched his struggle. The guards stopped him and he had to explain himself before they let him in. He ran with the bag, clutched tight to himself into the packs headquarters and met the alpha, it was alpha Jamil.
They began to discuss but I couldn't hear a single word they said. Alpha Jamil kept on shaking his head at first but then the man went on his knees in tears begging Alpha Jamil. He didn't look like he had a choice because he seemed determined on making Alpha Jamil change his mind.
Alpha Jamil finally listened to the man and stared at the bag he was carrying for a while and for the umpteenth time, I wondered what was in the bag. The man took the bag from where he kept it in his front and handed it to Alpha Jamil then made to leave but Alpha Jamil held his hand and uttered some words I couldn't understand since I wasn't hearing what they said.
The man shook his head and bowed to alpha Jamil, he said something and looked at the bag with longing and excess love in his eyes. He bowed to Alpha Jamil again and ran off this time, following the same path he took while bringing the bag to Alpha Jamil and that was the last I saw of him before he vanished Into thin air.
My attention switched to Alpha Jamil immediately and I didn't know how but I followed him into his room where he gently dropped the bag and opened it. The bag was filled with towels and I was baffled. A man wouldn't run all that distance in obvious desperation to save a bag of towels, there had to be more, something else in the bag, only that I wondered what it was too.
Suddenly alpha Jamil dipped his hands inside the bag and to my bewilderment, he brought a new born baby out; the baby looked like it was only a few days old. I gasped in shock once I saw the baby.
I was awakened forcefully at that moment and I saw Asher calling out my name repeatedly with his hands on my shoulders. He looked scared as he stared at me with wide eyes. I opened my eyes and sat up immediately as I looked around me, I calmed down immediately I saw I was in Asher's room and looked at him
"I just had this really weird dream" I told him as he sat opposite me on the bed
"I could tell, you were tossing and turning and you kept on calling for a baby" Asher told me and I broke eye contact with him
"Yeah, I saw a baby In my dream and it felt like the baby was in danger* I replied.
I went on to explain the whole dream and everything that happened, he listened with rapt attention and when I was done, he stayed quiet for a while before he turned to me "it really sounds like it has a meaning but it would be hard to find out on our own, we need to see Edward but I also think we should discuss this with everyone tomorrow to hear what they think, and what they feel you should do" he said and I saw sense in it, I nodded "that makes sense, thanks Ash" I told him.
He took of his shirt and pants then came into the bed and laid beside me
"I'm just going to cuddle you tonight" he told me soothingly and pulled me closer to himself before laying my head on his chest. I smiled and inhaled his scent before I slept off.

It was morning and we were all having our breakfast when I decided to tell everyone about my dream and what they thought about it. They were all stunned and speechless
"I believe you should see Edward, only he can help you find out what that dream means" Shalom told me and I felt relieved that they all thought of the same solution. I was going to meet Edward and it was going to be after breakfast.
"Thanks guys, I'm so glad I have you all by my side. I and Asher will meet Edward and we'll know you know what I found out once we're back" I assured them and they all nodded again. Edna hugged me since she sat beside me, and I laughed "I'm not dying Edna, it's just a dream" I told her .
"Yeah I know, I just felt you needed the hug that's all" she replied and I hugged her back.
Breakfast ended soon and I went to have my bath and dressed up for the day. Asher was soon ready too and we got into his car as he drove us over to Edwards. The car was silent, we didn't utter a word to each other, he just took my hand like he normally does whenever he's driving. This time he used his thumb to draw lazy circles on the back of my hand and it soothed me… he was trying to calm me down because I was sure that the suspense I was struggling with was evident on my face… I needed to know what that dream meant, the urge to know was killing me.
"We're here" Asher said and cut me out of my reverie. I didn't know we had arrived at Edwards place already. I came down from the car, he came over to me and took my hand then squeezed gently to make me feel better "you'll be fine Maya" he said and I nodded before we walked towards his door. We rang the doorbell and Edward opened the door almost immediately. He smiled once he saw we were the ones and let us in.
"To what event do I have the great white wolf in my presence?" He asked as he sat in his chair and ushered us to our chairs. I knew where to sit already, as did Asher. We sat and Asher told him our reason for showing up again.
I told him about the dream, everything I saw and how I couldn't hear the whole conversations and how I didn't understand the dream because I was still confused because my curiosity was at its peak. Edward just stared at me with a smile as I explained my dream… and I wondered why.
I finished and told him that was all I dreamt about, he sighed and smiled at me again
"Indeed Maya, you are the light" he said and I was confused "what?" I questioned confusedly but he didn't say more as he gestured for me to lay back and give him a hand, like we did the last time I was there.
He began to chant spells and we heard the legion of voices again. I began to feel dizzy and lightheaded and soon, my eyes clamped shut on their own while I was transported to another realm. I wasn't scared this time, I knew what to expect.
I opened my eyes in the other realm and stood up from my chair, alpha Jamil was at the other end of the room on a chair cooing at a baby that laughed every time he made a face. I watched with rapt attention and saw it was the same baby I saw in my dream
"Confused aren't you?" A voice asked in my ear and I shrieked as I turned to the source of the voice, it was Alpha Jamil. I looked at the other end of the room and he was also there still playing with the baby… crazy!!!
"How did you do that?" I asked in awe and he chuckled, "I'm dead remember? This isn't real, it's just the truth you're here for and that's what you should care about" he replied.
I looked at him "who's that baby? And why did I see the baby in my dream?" I asked him and he nodded "knew you were here for that" he said and chairs appeared from nowhere. I knew we were to sit so I sat as he also sat down.
Then he explained it all to me; he told me about my father who was the beta to the alpha of the white wolf park, he told me about my mother who had just given birth to me during the attack of alpha Rick so she gave me to my father, the man I saw in my dream to take me far away to a place where I could be safe.
My father begged him once he gave me to him to hide my identity and not let anyone know I was a white wolf or where I came from.
He explained to me how much Alpha Rick hated my father because my father worked with his father. I listened in shock as alpha Jamil told me all of these and I couldn't believe what I heard. He told me about how he asked my father to stay behind with him in the blood moon pack but he refused to, saying he had to go back to save my mother… but he never returned, alpha Rick killed him, he killed my parents in the attack.
It was all so heart wrenching to hear that I didn't even know I was sobbing, the tears just fell and my heart hurt so bad. I wanted it to stop but I couldn't coteotwhat my heart wanted at that time, to release the sorrow I felt on the confirmation that my parents were really dead and aloha Rick killed them.
I suddenly woke up from the effect of the spell still in tears and Asher ran to my side to console me and hear what I found out.
