♥ Epilogue♥
Yara Darkmore.
Two years later.
Two years. It's incredible to think about how everything has changed in two years. I used to live in hell, trapped in an arranged marriage with a man who never loved me and who made a point of reminding me of that every day. Ronan was never my husband, he was never a companion. He was my jailer, and every moment with him was another reminder that I was trapped in a life I didn't choose.
My parents, if I can call them that, never cared about me either. To them, I was just a pawn in a power game—a way to strengthen alliances and increase control over their businesses. The love, the care, and the affection that any child should receive... I never knew anything like that. All they gave me was the weight of expectations and the coldness of their manipulations.
I recently discovered that they are trapped. It appears that my father was involved in embezzling money, a scheme that finally came to light. And, to be honest, I didn't feel sorry. They deserved what happened. I think, in a way, it's fate taking the toll of your selfish and cruel choices. Now they are trapped, far from me, and I confess that I can feel nothing but relief.
As for Ronan, I heard that his company was closed for involvement in drug trafficking. There is an outstanding arrest warrant, but he remains at large. I don't know where he is, and honestly, I don't care. He's out of my life and out of my world. And that's how I want it to continue.
But these thoughts about the past seem distant, almost unreal. It was as if they were echoes of a life that no longer belongs to me. Because now, my life is different. A life full of love, security, and freedom.
These last two years have been transformative. With each day that passes, I feel like I've finally found my place in the world, alongside the three men who not only saved me but also taught me what it means to truly be loved. At first, I resisted a little. I wasn't used to being spoiled, receiving gifts, or being treated so kindly. But eventually, I learned to accept it. It's not wrong to be cared for or protected. They showed me that I deserved this. I deserve to be loved.
Now, I don't mind when Magnus, Kael, and Damien insist on buying me things. Clothes, jewelry, travel... At first, I felt guilty, as if I wasn't worthy of so much. But that passed. They do these things because they want to see me happy, and I've learned to accept that love as it comes.
And the trips—oh, how many places have we seen together? Tokyo, Rome… each destination is a new memory, a new adventure. Even when we are away from home, they make sure I am safe and happy. And the nights—those intense and passionate nights we spent together... I never get tired. The way they touch me, the way they make me feel loved with every kiss and every caress, is something I never imagined was possible.
There was also our wedding. A simple, discreet, but perfect ceremony was held right here in the mansion. No extravagant guests or ostentation, just the four of us, surrounded by the house staff, who have always been by our side and become our family. It was an intimate moment, filled with love and meaning. We didn't need anything big, because what matters is what we have between us. And there, in front of those who support us, we seal our commitment to each other. Three rings, one love, and a future that I know will always be full of happiness.
And I, who previously lived in a horrible arranged marriage with a man who never loved me and always mistreated me, am now married to the man of my dreams.
Now, lying here on Magnus's lap, I feel like I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be. The morning sun warms my skin, and the gentle wind from the porch ruffles my hair. I'm lying comfortably, my eyes half-closed, while he runs his fingers through my hair lovingly. Damien and Kael are sitting next to us in rocking chairs, enjoying the quiet moment, just like me.
Magnus breathes steadily, his chest rising and falling gently beneath my head. It's so easy to relax around him and around them. It's like the world outside just disappears when we're like this together.
''It seems we have found our place in the world. '' Damien comments, his deep, calm voice echoing across the balcony. He looks at me, and I can see the love in his eyes. It's always so obvious and easy to understand. I never had to guess how he felt about me. They always showed me with actions and words.
''And that's exactly where we should be. '' Kael responds, his smile calm, as he looks at the blooming garden in front of us. The flowers we planted a few months ago are already blooming, filling the air with a soft scent. Everything seems perfect.
I feel the heat of the sun warming my body, and I snuggle closer to Magnus. He wraps his strong arms around me, pressing me gently against his chest. I open my eyes, just enough to see the smile he offers me. It's that peaceful smile that makes me feel safe and reminds me every day that I am now free. The past no longer has power over me.
''How good it is to wake up and know that everything is at peace. '' I murmur, my voice soft but filled with gratitude. Because that's what I feel now: gratitude for finding such pure and true love, something I never thought I would have. ''You gave me a life I never thought I could have. A life full of love.
Kael smiles even wider, leaning in his chair and taking my hand. His touch is always so gentle, but full of a strength that only he has.
''And you gave us something even greater, Yara. You gave us a purpose. '' he says, and I can see the sincerity in his eyes.
Damien gets up from his chair and walks over to me, leaning down to kiss the top of my head. His hands caress my face with a tenderness that makes me melt.
''And all this is just the beginning. '' he murmurs, his voice low and full of affection. ''We still have so much to do together. No more fears, no more shadows of the past. Now we only have each other.
''You deserve it all, my love. And like Damien said, we have a lot of things to live through together. '' Magnus says, kissing my hair.
I close my eyes, feeling the warmth of his words and the safety of Magnus's arms. And that. This is the life I always wanted, even when I didn't know I could want it. A future where I am loved, where I am free, and where I am with those who would do anything for me.
''I love you guys. '' I whisper, emotion dripping through each word. I don't need to say anything more. They already know. You already understand what that means.
Magnus, Kael, and Damien lean in, kissing me softly one at a time, and I feel my heart swell with happiness. I never imagined that one day I would feel like this—so full, so complete.
''We love you too, our sweet Yara. '' they say together, their voices in tune, filled with love and devotion.
And at that moment, I knew that I had finally found my home. It's curious to think about how life can change in ways we never imagined. Sometimes we think we are doomed to live in darkness, that our lives will always be bad, trapped in cycles of pain and suffering. I believed this for a long time. I believed that my destiny was already set and that nothing would change.
But the truth is that there is always a way out. There is always someone waiting for us—someone who will show us the true meaning of love and freedom. Fate, no matter how cruel it may seem at times, always holds surprises, and for me, it has reserved three incredible men.
Magnus, Kael and Damien didn't just save me. They gave me a new life. A life where I am loved, where I am valued, and, above all, where I am free. Looking at them now, I know that this journey, as difficult as it was, was worth every step.
Love can come from where we least expect it, and when it does, it heals everything.
