Aurora

“You can’t!” he roared in my face as if he were some tiger as opposed to a wolf. I sent air back at him plastering him against the far wall. He was suspended there. “You fucking BITCH!,” he roared. “I’m not the enemy Dominic you are your own,” I chided. “Your time is short Little Alpha,” I added condescending. He gritted his teeth and stared back at me with a vengeance. “What are you?” he shot out like he was looking for doubt. “ I am Aurora McNichols and I can end you here and now whether or not you want to believe it. He physically shuddered. “Why him? Why does he always get everything?” … “What you NEED, Dominic is to realize the person you value as less than you are more than you deserve asshole!” I held him there for 5 mins an hour or 3? Time didn’t matter, his lesson did. Forcing him to relive how his transgressions affected his mate. He now lay crumpled on the floor groaning and crying like a baby. “She’s waiting for you to grow up and acknowledge what you have done. All that you have done. She's waiting for you to see her through the eyes of a true Alpha, not just a boy measuring his ego to others." I hoovered over his pathetic form until eventually Evander and Whinnie removed him from my presence and I was left staring back at my mate. “How do you allow his idiocy?” I asked.

“He wasn't always like this. When he realized he didn't inherit the same gifts, I had at his turning he changed. I have faith he can be restored to who he used to be or at least a better version of what he has become.” I shook my head. “While I refuse to doubt you, I am letting his mate make the choices here. This is more about her than us and what we are doing here.” I informed him. He nodded. “You are as wise as you are stunning,” he said brushing a strand of unruly hair behind my ear. His fingers got stuck in the bird's nest there reminding me of why it was in such disarray. Ghosts of the sharp, exquisite pain as he gripped my hair fucking me from behind laced through me. The tendrils danced down my spine and pooled in my core. A sigh escaped my lips as I remembered the sensations of feeling satisfied and spent.

He chuckled. “Your imagery is fascinating and though I would love to hull you up in bed all day and night, we have preparations to make wife,” he said. Did I send him images? Interesting. I turned in his arms and my hand rose behind me, gripping his cock through his pants. He groaned in surprise, my head tilted back as his blue orbs pierced my green ones. I pouted. “I thought you could show me something new,” I said in mock sadness. “Oh? And what was that?” he asked, carnal gaze staring back at mine. “Just a quickie?” I said giving him a little stroke through the denim. I felt him swallow hard and his neck was craned down against the side of my head. “You are a very convincing wife,” he mocks, pondering before he spun, catching me beneath the hips, and hiked me up, throwing me over one broad shoulder. I giggled, my ass becoming bare and the blood rushing to my head. A large thwack landed on my ass that burned yet spread delicious sparks of pleasure down my nerve endings. Oh? What's that about?

He chuckled before bounding us up the stairs where we failed to accomplish the task quickly and later emerged from our cabin 2 hours later looking suitable for the presence of others. In search of food, but also Millie. I hoped she was not angry at me for what had happened. In the end, he needed his Karma dealt to him 20-fold, and I was a willing participant to issue it, under the circumstances.

“Where will Millie be?” I asked as we scrounged up sandwiches of leftover smoked meat for Evander and an apple and cheese sandwich for myself. “I have a hunch.” he said as we weaved through the trees. We were moving towards a part of the woods I had yet to venture to. “Millie has a spot she goes to when things get tough. I can always find her there.” He said, his thoughts drifting off. “You two are close?” I asked. Before my mind could even wander he said. “She is my brother’s mate, and I am her Alpha. It is my duty as her Alpha and as her family member to watch over her well-being. She confides in Whinnie and me to a point, but she doesn’t trust Whinnie not to overstep to say too much, and there are some things I’m afraid she’s too ashamed to speak of. Not to mention we all grew up together and our parents, passed together, While I despise the situation entirely, she is steadfast to him coming around. He can, I do believe, but I wonder often if it would be more beneficial to them both if I were to just sever the bond for them. Neither will break it themselves.”

I shook my head. “You’ve seen her suffer, but you cannot feel her suffer as I have. What’s on the surface is not the same as what’s buried deep inside. She loathes herself when she should be loathing him. While she has stood faithful, he has notched numerous notches on his belt.” I voiced my opinion. “Not everything is as it seems, Love, but that is not my story to tell. I am glad the pack will have you, as you will balance my short comings. Weeping women and tender hearts are not something natural for me to sooth and I think right now what Millie needs the most is the confidence to regain the backbone she lost when all of this went down. I think that you are just what she needs in this world at this moment. Honestly, you are what my entire race needs in this moment.” he admitted.

I looked at him questioningly as we both stopped to look at each other. He leaned against the tree he stood next to. “For too long, both of our races have forgotten our roots, and here we stand, you and I the catalyst of change. As much as we want to shy away from that and live quietly away from the world, Evan was right.” His eyes raised and looked beyond me into the wilderness beyond the valley and he could feel what I knew resided there. Broken souls. “They did not get that way on their own and when we know their stories, we will hold those accountable, those who put them there.” I eyed my husband. There was a sadness and a conviction there. He was going to avenge those souls, and I was proud of him. “We start the journey at home,” I said taking his hand. He kissed mine as we began walking again.

“I always hoped the tellings were some sort of mistake,” he admitted. “I never wanted to be different or treated differently, and my mother did her best to keep it so. But now that I’m not alone in it, the thought is bearable with you by my side.” I smiled up at him. “You know I never had a prophecy but if there is one it’s hidden among my father’s estates. If he knew he never told me, I never knew how my aunt came across all the books and lore she did, I never really thought about it till he was gone but I guess it’s safe to assume your mother and my father would have gotten along swimmingly.” He chuckled, and I grinned, “You know I feel the same, the weight of the burden is less, as I am no longer carrying it alone.” he nodded, the corners of his mouth disappearing into his facial hair in a grin. “We are almost there he said bringing our conversation to an end.

We were both solemn as we hiked up the rocky trail to a cliff jutting out of the wilderness and looking over the expanse of the valley and that which lay beyond it. She sat staring out a half-drunk bottle of amber-colored liquor sitting beside her as I moved forward sitting beside her. Evander slunk back into the trees leaving me to be what was needed here.
