16. The Star Land Case

Everybody was waiting for Niya in the Court Room. She entered the hall and everybody knelt. Niya gracefully walked on the red carpet to the throne. She was looking extra beautiful in her knee-length white silk backside down Frok. Her crown was beautifully placed on her head and she gracefully sat on the throne.

"Proceed." Niya ordered George and he gave the important file to her. Murmuring explanations into her ear to make sure she understood some of the basic reasons of dispute.

"And ma’am, here's the representative of the Wolves, Mr. Poseidon Andino." George introduced him to Niya. Poseidon bowed in front of her. His golden eyes were full of excitement and a smile was playing on his lips like when a child smiles for having their favorite toy. He was perfectly tall, about six feet in his late twenties and his olive-toned skin was glowing like a glass. He was wearing an old-style of clothes like Greek gods.

"Your Majesty! I just cannot believe what my eyes are seeing. I am standing in your presence." He smiled like a child again.

"Pleased to meet you, Mr. Andino." She offered her hand and he kissed it elegantly. Everyone was staring at him with disgust and anger but nobody dares to speak in her majesty's presence.

"Please, put forward your points, Mr. Andino." She said politely.

"Ma’am, Star Land has belonged to us for centuries. There are so many people that live there with their children, many of them are poor and cannot afford to leave the place because their life is completely dependent on the nearby forest for food and other necessities. Royal guards are forcefully demolishing their homes and snatching their land to make a school and build a road through it in the name of development. But the truth is that school will never allow a werewolf child to enter. Nobody is going to allow us to use that road and they will lose their houses and food. In short, they will be forced to kill themselves." Andino clearly presented his concern in front of Niya.

"Objection! Your majesty! We are giving our word to their community that the school is established for their children and every child from their community will be allowed there and the road will help us to transport our goods to the other side of the kingdom easily as well as it will be helpful for them too. Even we are offering a good amount for their rehabilitation too." Archie presented his side in a very clear and straightforward way.

"Your Majesty, they have already snatched much of our land by giving us false hopes, by promising us the compensation but they never kept their word. In the end, my community lost land, houses and got nothing in return. You can check the records." Andino angrily said.

Niya looked at George and he understood that Niya wanted to check the records and Andino was right. They gave the land in the past but never got compensation in return. Niya sighed looking at Archie.

"Mr. Andino If you don't mind, can I talk to your community personally? I mean, I want to clear the air by talking to them, by meeting them the plan personally." Niya smiled politely.

"Ma’am it is your land. You are the owner of this whole Universe. You don't need my permission to go there. It will be an honor for the Wolves to have you as our guest." Andino bowed and smiled.

"So? Please stay here in the Royal Guest wing for tonight and we will leave together early morning tomorrow." She stood up and said.

"George, take care of Mr. Andino. He should be treated as my special guest for the remainder of his time with us." She said and left the hall.

She took off her heels as soon as she entered her room and gave her crown to the maid. She jumped on the bed like a child, staring at the ceiling for a minute. It was raining outside and rains were her mom's favorite. She was pretending like everything was fine and she has accepted this new world but deep down inside her heart, she missed Elvera and its snowy roads, Mrs.Trem, and that Public Library where she used to sit for hours. Her mom, her fragrance all over their house was something she could never have here in this huge palace.

She was lost in her memories of Elvera that she jumped when a maid suddenly knocked at her door.

"Your Majesty, King Everette wants to meet you, it's urgent." She said and stood calmly out there for her response. Niya sighed annoyingly as she knew Archie was going to make an issue out of what happened in the Court Room.

"Tell him I'm bathing." She rolled her eyes.

"Then I would like to join you, Queenie!" He entered the room while the maid left immediately. Niya looked at him and sighed.

"What the hell are you doing Niyanica? You are going with him? In that city? The City of Star Land?" He aggressively took some steps toward her and she was still laying on the bed, staring at the ceiling, completely ignoring him. "Hey, kiddo! I'm talking to you! Are you listening?" He asked annoyingly.

"You need to calm down, you're being too loud!" She sarcastically hummed the song, rolling her eyes at him.

"Seriously Niya? This is not a joke. That land is the land of our enemies. They can harm you. I am not allowing you to go there. You understand?" He said in a loud aggressive tone, his eyes were a shade darker because of anger.

"What? You are not allowing me? When did I ask for your permission, baby? I am the Queen and I don't need any permissions." She lazily sat down on the bed and adjusted her gown.

"This is about your life okay? I can't risk it." He said, sitting on the bed, and sighed out of frustration.

"Yeah, my life! And I have all the rights to decide what I want to do with my life. So go and get a life man! I'm already pissed off. This new world doesn't suit me. If I'm pretending I'm okay, that doesn't mean I'm really ok. I am not okay." She said in an aggressively loud tone, standing up in front of him.
He looked at her with a shocking expression.

"This world sucks, I wanted to join the college like any other teenager! Complete the requirements for my graduation. Everything was well planned but you, my friend, popped out of nowhere like an unplanned baby. Because of this fucking rotten world, everything just got ruined." She said, looking into his eyes. His mouth opened in shock at her words.

"Language! Niya, you are a Queen, behave like one." He said, widening his eyes at her cussing words.
"Aye Aye Captain America!!! I am sorry, I forgot that I am a fucking Queen. Oops! Sorry again." She sighed and turned to the mirror to remove her jewelry.

"What? Who's Captain America?" He said, looking at her in confusion.

"He was, uh, the president of the saints like you, no cussing, no bad language types! Very similar to you but he had a sexy ass." She said, looking at his ass.

"Shut up. And you are not going there." He said looking at her in the mirror from the backside.

"I am going. Stop me if you can." She said, removing her necklace.

"You are such a brat! Fine. I am going with you than with the proper security team." He said and immediately left the room. The maid came back once she saw a furious Archie storm out of the Queen’s room.

"And you are such an asshole!" She shouted out of frustration so loud that every security guard out in the corridor listened to her voice and tried to control their laughter. Finally, Niya was back in her real avatar, the sassy sarcastic girl just like she was back on earth.

She opened the cabinet to put her jewelry in the box and she found her bracelet of lord Krishna gifted by her mother. "Oh my god, I thought I left it back in my room back on earth." She picked it up and kissed it. Her maid helped her to tie it around her wrist.

"We kept this in the cabinet when you were in your sleep." Her maid smiled at her. Then asked if she needed anything else and left the room.
Niya looked at her bracelet once again and stared at it for a minute. She looked at herself in the mirror and adjusted her posture like a Queen. She was looking perfect but in her eyes, loneliness and sadness were clearly visible.

"I miss you, dad." She whispered, looking in the mirror.

"I miss you too princess." A similar voice entered her ears. She smiled, a tear slipped through her eyes. She turned back to see the owner of the voice.

"Dad!" She said and hugged him. He hugged her back tightly.

"Dad, I don't wanna live here. Can't we go back to our house?" She said, sniffing in his chest like a child.

"This is your home princess. This has been your home always. Earth was never your home. It was just a shelter." He hugged her tightly again. "I know it's not easy for you, but it is necessary for you. Now listen carefully, I have heard that you are going to a Star Land City?" He asked and she nodded, still hugging him. "Nee, the journey to Star Land City is not going to be easy. There are so many creatures on this planet that are unaware of your real identity so they will try to harm you. You have to be more powerful than them to protect yourself." He said, breaking the hug and looking at her face.

"Here, this is a secret potion of *Ruhanzayic Flower*, drink this up. It will activate your dormant powers completely." He gave her a small bottle filled up with golden liquid. She took the bottle and stared at it for a second.

"Dormant powers?" She asked in confusion.

"Living on earth, in another universe, the atmosphere turned you into a temporary human. It made your powers dormant but now, when you are back in your home universe, this liquid will help your powers to activate again. It will help you to protect yourself." He said, cupping her face in his hands.
She nodded and drank the liquid.
