22. Samael
"I was helpless Will, I had to do this because I was not only your friend but a king also. It was my duty to protect the drac kind from the wrath of vamp kind." Samael said, looking at William.
"I don't care. Just stay away from Niyanica." William said, looking at him with angry eyes.
"You can't stop what's already pre-written in Sanctus Liber. Niyanica is born to marry a person who will sit on the Drac Prime's throne, the one who will rule The Morganite Universe will be her husband and that person is me, my friend." Samael smirked proudly, looking at William's angry face.
"I don't care about the prophecy. But I promise you, I will not let you ruin her life. Never. Your evil little twin is already making her life hell." William said in a firm tone.
"I don't care about him, I care about what she wants. Come on, dude, she was with me like for thousands of years, I deserve a chance. " Samael said with his big purple angry eyes.
"She is not your possession, Sam. She was unconscious when she was with you! Do you honestly think that gives you the right to force your love on her?" William gritted his angry teeth.
"Yeah, she is not my possession and I am not forcing my love on her, Will. I just want to try to win her heart. A chance! That's all I'm asking for and only you can help me in that case." Samael said, looking at him hopefully.
"I'm not gonna help you, buddy. Go get a life." William said, rolling his eyes on him.
"That's what I'm doing. I couldn't even see her face clearly underwater. Please! Let me see her." Sam begged, looking at him.
"Look dude, you better leave or I'm gonna tell Archie about your presence." William folded his arms, looking away.
"Don't you dare!! I have wasted thousands of years just to crack a hole in that firewall." He sighed, looking at William.
"Then leave." William said with a firm face.

Meanwhile, Niya woke up to drink some water. Sitting up slightly, she reached her hand to take the glass filled with water that was on top of the nightstand. She had just finished when she suddenly heard a knock on her window. Startled, she placed the glass back on her nightstand and looked towards the sound. Her sight was met with pair of dark blue eyes that were staring at her through the window. Within no time, her mind was able to recognize those eyes. A merman stood there, staring at her through the ship’s window, the same merman whom she encountered earlier.
She looked at him straight for a minute and didn't realize that she was sweating and shaking until she felt a drop roll down her cheek. She gathered all her courage and ran towards William's room.

"Okay, fine. I'm leaving." Samael looked at William and shook his head out of frustration.
"Here. Your pendant." William gave his pendant back to him.
As soon as he was about to leave, Niya entered the room, running like a maniac. Samael stood still there and didn't make any movement as the room was really dark so he was sure that Niya would not notice him. Niya rushed towards Willy but on her way to him, she accidentally touched Samael's hand. It was just for a millisecond but Niya wasn't wearing her gloves so when her hand touched his hand, she got some blurred flashbacks.
She saw a manly figure playing a beautiful tune with a flute. Then she saw herself sleeping peacefully and a golden light was all around her like it was protecting her from the surroundings and the same manly figure was playing the same tune with his flute, sitting near her.
She turned back to see whose hand it was but nobody was there except William. William turned her face towards him and looked into her eyes with concern.
"What happened, Niya?" He asked, looking at her.
"Willy! The blue eyes, that man..." She tried to explain what she saw but failed due to the panic and confusion she currently felt. What just happened? Who did I touch?
"What?" He asked in confusion.
"The merman was there, outside my window." She said looking at the window of his room.
"It's okay. They cannot enter your room. It is safe in there." William moved her messy hair back to see her face.
"I just… he is so scary." She said again, looking outside the window and around the room. *Who had just been here?*
"It's safe here. Trust me. Come on, I'll be there with you until you sleep, okay?" He said, putting his arm around her shoulder and walking towards her room.
She looked behind her shoulder, feeling like someone was staring at her. Her eyes moved around the room, looking at the window again but no one was there so she shrugged off the thought and went back to her room with William.
Meanwhile, Samael was watching her all the time from outside the window. He couldn't see her face in the dark but her touch was divine for him, he looked at his hand where her hand touched him and smiled. He was mad that in both encounters he wasn’t able to see her face, but he clearly remembered the color of her eyes. The bright honey-brown orbs were hovering all over his mind and he didn’t mind one bit. Samael looked at his pendant, the only thing that could stop this attraction, this infatuation towards her. He carefully observed the pendant and threw it in the sea.
"If you are born to burn me down then I'm ready to die in your flames, Niyanica Hemsworth." He whispered looking at the drowning pendant and smiled.

"Was there someone else present in your room, Willy?" Niya sat at the edge of her bed and asked William who was sitting on the armchair near her bed.
As soon as Niya asked him, his face got tensed and he opened his mouth to say something but then decided to keep quiet for a second. He touched his lips with his tongue to cover up the tension on his face before speaking.
"Um, no- nope. No one was there except me, why?" He frowned, looking at her.
"I kind of felt that I touched someone's hand standing there in the dark." She said looking directly into his bright blue eyes.
"You were in a panic, Niya, maybe your brain was imagining things due to panic." Willy said, putting his hand on her shoulder.
"Yeah, yeah, that’s what probably happened." She said, looking at the floor.
"Go to sleep, queenie, we are leaving early in the morning." He smiled and stood up, giving her the blanket that probably fell to the floor due to her haste. He sat back down on the chair, crossing his arm over his chest to get comfortable.
"Night night, Willy." She smiled before slipping into a slumber. Now she could sleep peacefully as she was not afraid of anyone as long as William was there with her.

The next morning, Niya woke up early. She looked around and William was not there. *Willy must be busy with his official work*, she thought and smiled. She opened the window covers and the view in front of her was divinely beautiful. The sun was rising slowly with its light red shine spreading all over the sky, the blue waves of the ocean were dancing in rhythm with the cold breeze, little fairies were dancing on the water with fishes. Niya carefully observed them and smiled.
Wow, she praised the beauty of nature in her mind and smiled, closing her eyes, taking a deep breath to feel the freshness more. Suddenly, she remembered the tune she heard in her flashback last night when she touched someone's hand in William's room. She walked towards her luggage and took her flute out of the box. Ever since Archie gifted her this on coronation day, she always traveled with it. She slowly opened the box and a silver shining flute was gracefully placed inside the box.
She took the flute and started playing the same tune she heard last night. It was so shocking for her too that she could play that tune so perfectly even though she had had never played this instrument in her whole life.
Archie, who was doing some official work in his room, listened to that tune and his eyes widened with shock. *Samael? No, no, he can't be here*, he thought before closing his files and ran towards the direction of the music.
Meanwhile, Niya was so lost in the music that she continued playing without a care in the world but suddenly, someone entered her room with great speed, and before she could realize it, the flute was snatched from her grasp. She gasped and when she saw William glaring down at her.
"Niyanica?! What the hell are you doing? Have you gone mad, you idiot?" William practically yelled at her. She looked at him with watery eyes as it was the first time she saw this side of William. *Why is he so mad? I was just playing some music…*
"I, I was just trying to..." She tried to explain herself but couldn't speak further as she was afraid to anger him more. She never thought she would see this side of William, especially towards her.
"Just shut up! Keep quiet." He again yelled at her, looking at the door as if he was waiting for someone. And within the very next second, Archie entered her room.
"Who the hell was playing that tune?" Archie asked in an angry tone as soon as he entered. His dark green eyes were looking around the room to find the source of that music.
"Yeah, yeah, we were just talking about the same thing. It was beautiful though." William said, keeping the flute in his hand behind his back to hide it from Archie, smiling at
Niya who was standing quietly as confusion invaded her mind. Archie looked at him with angry eyes.
"It was ridiculous." Archie said and went out of the room quicker than he has arrived.
Niya turned to William and looked at him with confusion, trying to keep her tears at bay. He tried to open his mouth to speak but paused for a second before saying anything as if he was deciding how to explain the situation.
"I can't tell you anything, Niya but you have to get rid of this flute." He said, going towards the open window and throwing the flute in the sea. Immediately drowning and disappearing from their sight. Niya couldn’t even protest as she stood shocked at the events that had just happened.
"Never play that tune again. Archie will kill you." He said, grabbing her shoulders, looking into her big brown watery eyes. "Do you hear me?" She didn't say anything, now could she? She was really upset and confused. And William knew that she was upset, he hated that he had yelled at her for no apparent reason but he’s just trying to protect her.
She nodded and left the room immediately to grab some fresh air. She was upset as well as shocked so she didn’t want to be in the room with him for the time being. William had never acted this aggressively, she had never seen him like this. But even though she was still trying to wrap her mind around what had just happened, deep down, in her heart, she knew that William wouldn't act aggressively without a reason.
*At least she hoped.
