18. Dragon's egg.

On the next day, Niya woke up early. She took bath and started to get ready immediately. She wore black jeans shorts with a white turtleneck shirt, black gloves, to avoid any touches as she didn't want to feel someone's haunted memories again, along with white shoes.

Meanwhile, Emily and her other assistants packed her necessary things. She did light makeup, no foundation as her skin was already flawless but just applied a little bit of mascara and a light red-pinkish lipstick. She let her hair down only adjusted her side bangs a little to make it posher.

"Perfect." She smiled looking at herself in the mirror.

"Here, Your Majesty." Emily gave her a beautiful hairband, silver-colored with light pink gems, to put on her hair as Niya didn't want to wear the crown while traveling.

"Thank you, Emz." She put on the hairband and smiled.

"I think I should leave now." She looked in the mirror one last time before opening the door and leaving the room. George and Edward were going to accompany her with her security team so Niya wasn’t surprised to see them outside along with Archie and his security team. All of them walked towards the entrance of the palace and once the guards opened the doors, Niya stepped outside. She looked at the sun in the bluish sky. It appeared bigger than earlier, shining brightly and heating Niya’s skin.

"My goodness, what's wrong with your sun? It's burning me." Niya complained, walking towards Archie who was standing there in a black tuxedo and dark brown glasses, unbothered by the heat. As Niya approached him, everybody standing there, along with Archie, bowed.

"It's not a sun, Niya. It's called Pollux, our star." Archie chuckled. "And the burning is because some scientists are refueling it, it generally needs fuel after every thousand years."

"Refueling? Oh God, is there anything normal here?" She sighed, shaking her head in denial and using Archie’s shadow to cover the glaring heat.

Archies raised an eyebrow but decided not to comment on it. "Yes. Here, a new mobile phone for you." Archie gave her a brand new phone.

"Oh, thank you." She smiled, looking at the phone.

"I thought you will ask for a new phone but you never did. So I just decided to give it to you anyways." He said, observing her reaction carefully.

"I didn't need one. I don't have anyone here on this planet to be in touch with." She said, putting the phone in her pocket, smiling sadly. Archie could feel her sadness and loneliness, feeling his heart soften a little. He opened his mouth to say something but closed it quickly, deciding to keep quiet.

"You have me, sweetheart." A familiar voice reached her ears. She turned back to see his face and there he was, wearing a dark green tuxedo with a white shirt, smiling. He bowed along with his bodyguards and secretary.

"Willy!!" She hugged him with a wide grin plastered on her face.

"Ooh from Will to Willy? I like it." He chuckled. She shrugged in response.

"You are going too?" She asked, raising her eyebrows, looking at his face to obtain his response.

"Come on Niya, do you really think I'm gonna let you go alone to the most dangerous area of this planet with this jerk?" He smirked, looking at Archie, whispering the last words in a very low tone so Archie couldn't listen.

"Thank you, dude. I really appreciate your concern." She smiled.

"Give me your phone, let me save my number." He said while taking her phone and adding his phone number and then send himself a message so he could save hers. Giving the phone back to Niya, he smiled brightly at her. Archie, getting tired of the exchange, decided to interrupt.

"Mr. Andino is also here." Archie said, looking in his direction. Andino bowed and kissed Niya's hand.

"Your Majesty!! Good morning." He smiled, looking at her.

"Very good morning to you, Mr. Andino." She smiled back. Archie noticed Niya's gloves and frowned.

"Pollux was burning you a moment ago but you are still wearing the gloves, Your Majesty?" Archie raised an eyebrow and questioned her.

"I, uh, I am germaphobic. I don't like touching anything with my bare hands." She lied confidently and smiled.

"Oh, okay. Shall we?" He said while walking towards the car. It was again some kind of modified Bugatti looking car and Niya's favorite so Niya couldn't resist the urge to drive it by herself.

"I'm gonna drive. And I'm not asking. Willy, you are riding with me" She said as the driver handed her the keys. She stepped into the car along with William. Archie scoffed, shaking his head on her childish excitement.

They all reached the airport and as soon as she stepped out of the car, George and Edward made a circle around her, along with her bodyguards, to protect her from the press and the media people that were present. But all she could hear were the sounds of the flashes of the cameras. Unlike last time, she didn’t panic as she didn’t feel afraid anymore. She focused on the hundreds of people there waiting for her one glimpse, whether old or young, everyone was trying to see her. She was feeling a strange connection with them, a safe feeling.

"How do these people get to know about my whereabouts? I mean, how dedicated they are!! Waiting for me just to see me." She said to William, smiling at him.

"Social media works like magic, Your Majesty." He smiled, looking straight.

"Ed, tell your boys to back off. I don't want this circle around me." She confidently said, smiling at him. Edward looked at her, scrunching his eyebrows in confusion.

"Pardon, Your Majesty?" He said in confusion to make sure if Niya was joking.

"I said, tell you boys to back off. I wanna meet those people who are waiting for me. It's an order. " She said, stopping there. He was about to protest but saw her look of determination so instead, he sighed and threw a look at Will before doing as she said.

"Yes, yes, Your Majesty. Boys back off, break the circle, and be alert. Your majesty wants to meet her people." He announced and within no time, the circle of those tall men turned into a straight line behind Niya.

"Niya, it can be dangerous." William said, looking at her.

"Please Willy, I wanna meet them." She pleaded and he nodded. Archie, who was walking ahead of them, turned to see what was really happening and when he did he couldn’t believe his eyes. Turning around and shoving some people that refused to move, he approached Niya as if she was a lamb and he the wolf.

"What the hell is happening here?" He holds Niya's arm and asked, furious for her reckless decision. Throwing a look over at Edward, he saw the man pale and shrug, indicating that it was Niya’s idea. He pinched his nose in frustration at the girl in front of him.

*Flash*

"Smile at them, they are recording every moment, sweetheart." She said while smiling at the cameras. “I just wanted to meet them, nothing wrong there, Archie.”

*Flash*

"You can't breach the security protocols." He said, faking a smile at the cameras and moving to her other side, using his arm to move people away.

*Flash*

"Yeah? Who made these protocols? I'm the Queen dude! Don't teach me the rules." She faked a chuckle, looking at him as if they were having a friendly conversation. After she was done with the pictures, her team moved towards her people so she could meet them. Her bodyguards made a human chain so no one could reach her. Each one of them assessing the perimeter and each person that interacted with their queen. Niya listened patiently, smiled, and even took some selfies. She couldn’t believe they were giving her gifts and while she took them gratefully, her team took them from her to make sure none of them were intended to harm her.

"You are the coolest Queen I have ever seen in my lifetime, Your Majesty." An old-aged lady said.

"Thank you." She smiled. Everybody was trying hard to grab her attention. Giving cards, blessings, taking pictures.

"Your majesty, Your Majesty, would you like to be my first guest in my talk show?" Someone from the crowd shouted. Niya turned to see the owner of the voice. He was a handsome man in his early twenties, his clothes were not so good, a plain blue shirt with lots of wrinkles and a black formal pant, finishing the look with messy purple hair.

Niya walked towards him and smiled.

"I would love to." She smiled looking at him and he bowed.

"Actually, this is my first talk show, Your Majesty. My company has given me the last assignment to host this show and if it wouldn't work well, I'll be fired." He smiled nervously looking at her bright shiny face.

Although he looked poor and not well dressed, his bright hazel eyes were shining and there was a spark in those orbs, a spark to do something big. Niya could see his honesty and determination.

"Give me your card, Mr...?" She said, smiling at him.

"Leo Hooper, Ma'am." He smiled nervously while searching for his card in his pockets. After a few minutes, he found a card and gave it to her.

"Thank you." She smiled and was about to leave but suddenly she felt a soft touch on her right leg. She looked down and a beautiful girl around five years old was smiling at her.

"Hey sweetie, what's up?" She bent down to her level and smiled.

"Your Majesty, I have a gift for you. Here." She bowed in a cute manner and gave Niya a big white egg with dark blue dots on it.

"This is so cool, love. But what it is?" She asked, looking at her.

"A dragon egg." She smiled innocently.

"Your Majesty, it is a rare dragon egg, the last of its kind. Our pet Dragon died last week and this was her last gift to us." The little girl's mother explained.

"A pet dra-dragon?" Niya said, raising her eyebrows in shock. *Damn, I am gonna end up in mental hospital soon,* she thought.

"And my daughter loves you so much that she decided to give the last egg to you, Ma'am." She smiled, looking at Niya.

"Thank you, sweetheart. I'll always keep it near me." Niya smiled, looking at the girl.

"Your Majesty, sorry to interrupt but we are short on time and we don’t want to be late. Please, we should proceed now." Archie put his arm around her shoulder and practically dragged her towards the entrance of the airport, taking the egg and giving it to George.

Finally, they were on the plane. Andino and the remaining staff members were in the staff cabin while Niya, Archie, and William were in the VIP cabin of the plane. Niya was looking at the cards and gifts she received. William was looking at his phone screen and Archie was reading a book.

"Willy, what is so rare about white dragons?" Niya asked, looking at the big egg.

"Uh, they are rare." William chuckled.

"Actually, they are the most beautiful kind of dragons with very fast speed. They can fly up to 100km per hour if needed. They can change their size according to their need."

"You gotta be kidding! 100?? Seriously? Wow." She asked, widening her eyes. He nodded.

"The most important thing is that they are very loyal to their owners. They always protect them." Archie said, without looking at them, reading his book.

"Wow. Great." She smiled, looking at the egg.

"My goodness! Niya, you got 50 million followers on InterActive in just 24 hours." William said in excitement.

"What? What is interactive?" She asked, raising her eyebrows. Will showed her and she saw it was InterActive, an app looking similiar to instagram. *Huh*, she thought.

"It is a universal social networking app for our Musgravite Universe, millions of planets come under this." He smiled, looking at her.

"50 million? I had 9 followers on my Instagram back on Earth. This is impossible." She chuckled and shook her head in disbelief.

"Look at this." William showed her the account.

"Wow, 50 million? Is this a joke? Wait... but when did I join this site? I haven't made this account. I just got the new phone hours ago." She said in confusion.

"I made it last night." Archie said, looking through the pages of his book.

"Oh! Thank you, sir." She said, rolling her eyes at him.

William taught her how to use the app on her phone and it was really fun. She was tagged in so many videos and pictures and one of them was William and Niya's picture from coronation when he gave her the bracelet.

*PM William and Queen Niyanica is the Hottest couple of the year.* *#NiamForever* was the caption of that picture. She laughed out loud at the hashtag Niam.

"Look at this man!!!" She showed the caption to William and they both laughed out loud.

"Hashtag Niam Forever." They said in sync and laughed again. Above them, the voice of a flight attendant filled the cabin, announcing they were about to land at Shanayra airport.

"Shanayra? We were supposed to go to the Star Land City, right?" Niya asked, looking outside of the window.

"We have to go through a Cruise there." Archie said, closing his book and looking outside the window.

"Why so?" She asked curiously.

"There is no place for a plane to land because it is a land full of 70 meters high Lepoliz trees and it's a land full of snowstorms with almost zero visibility." William smiled at her curiosity. The plane landed without a problem at the Shanayra City Airport. There were no media at the airport, only some people were running here and there, none of them paying attention to Niya and her team.

"This is really quiet compared to the other ones." Niya said, looking around.

"Yeah, because this city is not a very populated or developed area. It is the dessert area of Vamp Prime." Andino explained, looking around. "There is not a single river of freshwater for drinking needs. They can't afford the technology of converting seawater into freshwater." Andino further explained the situation.

"Why haven’t the royals help them?" She asked, looking at Archie who was scrunching his nose on the dirty surroundings of the airport.

"Uh, I..." Archie looked at her and tried to find some words to speak but failed.

"Because they are humans and King Archie doesn't like humankind." William chuckled sarcastically. Niya looked at Archie, scrunching her eyebrows in disgust.

"And why doesn’t King Archie like them?" She asked, controlling her anger, looking at Archie.

"Royals liked humankind when they needed to feed on them but once they found the way to create the blood in the laboratory, using human DNA, well, they became useless to them." Andino said, looking at Archie with anger.

"Liar… he is lying. I couldn't do anything as it was a situation of survival of fittest and humankind was not fit to survive along with us." Archie said, without looking at Niya to hide the guilt in his eyes.

"Before leaving for the Star Land, I want to meet these Shanayra people." Niya declared without looking at Archie, confidently.
