43. Drac Prime.

After a long journey of 48 hours, they finally arrived at the airport of Drac Prime. Samael didn't announce his arrival so thankfully, there were no paparazzi there. William picked Niya and walked out from the back door of the airport, he didn’t want to take any chances with onlookers. Samael's men were already waiting outside in their cars. William carefully sat and put Niya's head on his lap. Samael and others joined them in other cars.

Drac Prime was home to William, he was back after thousands of years and could feel the familiar warmth of home in the air. He put his window down a bit to feel that air on his face, closing his eyes in bliss. The sweet warm wind caressed his face, it felt like a greeting from an old friend. He smiled unknowingly, feeling every bit of it.

He opened his eyes and looked around, tall green trees, full of pink and purple flowers were looking like scenery and the coal-black clean roads were making the view even more beautiful. Drac Prime was very different from Vamp Prime as Vamp Prime was built more on modern concepts but Drac Prime preserved its culture along with modernization very well, the trees, the roads, the sky, everything was making him feel at home.

After traveling for half an hour, they arrived at the palace. It was a huge palace, built in Victorian-style architecture on a green lush hill. Since it was on a hill, the clouds looked as if they were floating on the ground. Beautiful waterfalls on both sides made it look like heaven itself. William and George sighed with a smile, looking at it as most of their early adulthood was spent in this castle playing with Samael and Archie.

"Welcome home," Samael said, looking at their amused faces. They ignored him and William took Niya in along with the others. Samael prepared a beautiful room for Niya so they put her on a bed in the room and called their royal doctor immediately.

''Your Majesty, she has a slight fever but other than that she’s fine. That’s just her body fighting the remains of the poison in her system. She is just exhausted and needs her rest for some time and she'll be fine,'' he said, looking at Samael. “When she wakes up, let me know so that I can check on her again. And if anything worsens while she’s still unconscious, be sure to notify me immediately.”

He nodded, ''Thank you, Doc.'' The doctor left immediately after that.

"Don't worry, she'll be fine. You guys must be hungry, let’s eat something first," Samael said, looking at William and George. They nodded and left the room immediately.

They went to the dining hall where a woman in her late fifties in a rose gold royal gown with a beautiful silver crown was already waiting for them. It was Samael's mother, Cara. The table was filled with many delicious dishes. They all bowed to pay their respect to Cara.

"Mrs. Everette," William smiled and took her hand to kiss it, George did the same. She smiled and looked straight into his eyes with her light purple eyes.

"I missed you, Willy, George." She smiled and kissed their foreheads.

"We missed you too, Mrs. Everette," George answered with a smile. They all joined her for the dinner.

In the meanwhile, Niya was moving restlessly on the bed, still unconscious.

"I told you not to be so smart, but you just broke every rule I made," Archie said, looking at Niya who was sitting on the bed, hand-tied, looking at him with sleepy tired eyes.

"You're gonna regret it. I trusted you, Archie. Even when everybody told me not to," she said, looking at him with hatred. He pulled her hair from the back and made her wince in the pain.

"And I told you not to cross the line," he said while injecting some kind of aqua-blue liquid into her veins, which was keeping her powers in check so she couldn't escape.

A sweat drop rolled down her temple to her neck out of fear. Suddenly, she wasn’t in the cell anymore, she was dancing and laughing with Archie. She was happy, enjoying every moment with him, how he used to wake her up and how she could jump on him to hug him without any fear. A smile appeared on her sweaty face remembering those good old days.

But again good memories vanished in her subconscious mind and the reality crawled back. The days she spent in that small dark room were scary, the way Archie treated her like an insect was unexpected for her. He used to come to forcefully feed her every day, to make her feel that her life was in his control. All those memories were playing again and again, she couldn’t stop them.

*I love you, sweetheart,* she could hear her father's words in her mind, all that pain came back when she watched her father die in front of her when his body turned into a golden light in front of her eyes and she was so helpless, she couldn't do anything to save him. And this all was happening to her because she trusted someone she shouldn't have.

Her heart started beating fast again as soon as she remembered her dad, Archie's betrayal. She gathered all the force inside her body and opened her eyes with a sudden jerk. Sitting up with her hair stuck in her face because of the sweat. Trying to gather her breath, she looked around the unfamiliar room. Her body was aching badly, her head was feeling so heavy.

*Where the hell am I?* she thought looking at the window which was covered with curtains. She gathered every bit of energy and got out of that bed, walking towards that window. She opened the curtains and a beautiful view greeted her eyes. Waterfalls were making their way down through a lush green hill, it was looking so peaceful and beautiful. The whole surroundings were covered with greenery as if she was in some 16th-century palace.

She was in awe of the view, forgetting everything that had happened for a minute. Closing her eyes, she breathes in deeply to gather some strength. She moved towards the door but her body was aching so badly that she trembled and stumbled on a table, making the vase that was on top of it shatter on the floor. She jumped and stumbled back when the door slammed open but to her relief, it was George, William, and Samael looking ready to attack. Their face showed surprise and relief when they saw that she was up.

"Niya! How are you feeling now?" George asked, rushing to her and touching her forehead to check if she still had a fever. She looked at them with confused eyes.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Where am I? What is this place?" she asked looking around her.

"This is Drac Prime. We are on The Drac Prime," William said and Niya remembered what happened on Vamp Prime.

"Where's Edward?" she asked looking at them, noticing that her friend wasn’t with them.

"We had no choice, we were helpless, but we promise, we'll bring him back," William said, taking some steps towards her to console her.

"Bring him back? Did you leave him alone with that monster? How could you?" she asked, looking at him with tears in her eyes. *Archie’s going to torture him,* she thought, holding back a sob.

"I promise, Niya, we will bring him back," George said, hugging her tightly and the gesture was enough to break her. She sobbed while hugging him back.

"We need to save him as soon as possible, he'll torture him for sure," Niya said, snuggling into his chest. Gripping his shirt while she cried.

"Take some rest, Niya, we will save him for sure," Samael said, rubbing her back and taking her to the bed.

Samael called the doctor again and he checked Niya.

"She doesn’t have a fever anymore which means that the poison has left her body. Now, the doses of poison in her blood made her very weak, which means her powers will take some time to function properly." The doctor explained, “Make sure to let me know if you start to feel weird at some point, other than that you should make a full recovery.” He nodded.

"Thank you, Doc. Please be careful, nobody should know she's an angel. I am trusting you for that." Samael spoke with the authority of a true king.

"Don't worry, Your Majesty. I will not tell anyone. You can trust me. Your wish is my command. I'll take your leave now." he said, bowing and leaving immediately.

"We need to make a plan as soon as possible to rescue Edward," she said, looking at William, who was standing near her bed and looking back at her with concern in his eyes.

"And you don't have to be part of that plan, okay? We are not going to put you in danger again," George said, looking at her. She shook her head in denial.

"I'm the most powerful creature out here, okay? Just because I was caught off guard once doesn't mean I can't defeat that rascal," she said, standing up and getting out of bed.

"Niya! Calm down, okay? Didn't you listen to what the doctor just said? Your powers will take some time to function properly. You can't fight against him without your powers," Samael said, looking at her angry face.

"No, I need to go there. He has Edward and I can't let him die," she said, looking at him with her eyes full of rage and hatred for Archie.

"I understand your concern but stop behaving like a kid. Have you gone mad or what? Be patient and think wisely. Let your powers come back and we will make a proper plan. You can’t expect to defeat him without a plan," Samael said, raising his voice a bit as he was annoyed by Niya's childish behavior.

"Samael! You can't raise your voice at her like this," William said, looking at him. Samael glared at him.

"No, someone has to make her understand that everything cannot go according to her, she needs to understand that wars cannot be won by eagerness. She’s behaving like a kid and not a queen. Her eagerness could not only get Edward killed but her and everyone else as well. If she wants to win against Archie, she needs to think rationally," Samael said, looking at Niya with anger and concern in his shiny purple eyes.

"He’s right, Niya, let's make a proper plan to win against Archie, think rationally," George said, putting his hand on her shoulder to make her understand and she nodded as she knew defeating Archie won't be easy.
