Her Instead!

Falcon was resting in his room when a knock came at the door. It stopped, and then the door opened, revealing Venom approaching Falcon's bed. Usually, Falcon would have reacted quickly, but this time, he didn't move.

"Hey, wake up!" Venom ordered, tapping Falcon on the lap, but he didn't respond, instead he kept lying on the bed like a dead person.

"Why are you pretending to be asleep?" Venom asked, checking Falcon's heartbeat. "You're not dead, Falcon; your heart is still beating," Venom said sarcastically.

Falcon remained still, annoying Venom, who thought of a plan to rouse him. After a few minutes, a perfect but teasing idea appeared into his mind.

“This is the only option I have," Venom murmured under his breath and smirked.

Venom started his plan by putting on the alarm tone on his phone, then turned it off pretending to answer a call. "What do you want? I thought... What? You don't mean it, Ari is awake?" Venom shouted, and Falcon immediately sat up.

"Ari is awake?" Falcon asked in disbelief, and Venom burst out laughing.

Falcon looked at Venom with raised eyebrows. "Hey Ven, I just asked you a question!" Falcon yelled frustratedly.

"No, she isn't" Came, the short reply of Venom,who was still chuckling.

"What do you mean she isn't? Someone just called you to inform you," Falcon said, and looked at Venom's expression which turned solemn.

"Wait, don't tell me..."

"Yes, what you're about to say is right; I was just joking around," Venom confessed, and Falcon's face hardened.

"You asshole!" Falcon yelled, trying to punch Venom, who dodged it.

"Hey, common man, I was just trying to help; I wasn't sure if you were still alive," Venom replied sarcastically.

"But you checked my heartbeat," Falcon said, and Venom was amazed.

"So you were not sleeping?" Venom asked with raised eyebrows, and a smirk appeared on his lips.

"Gosh!" Falcon exhaled, trying to calm his anger, he looked up at Venom who was still smiling

"Get out!" Falcon said coldly but calmly.

Venom stopped smiling, "Why? I wanted to just ask..."

"I just gave you an order to leave! Get out!" Falcon yelled angrily, and Venom was surprised because Falcon has never raised his voice to this extent to him.

"Fine, I'll leave, but I will come back later because I have to discuss something with you," Venom said, as he started walking towards the door. Falcon called him back, and Venom smiled inwardly, turning his front to Falcon.

"Close the door behind you!" Falcon deadpanned, and Venom couldn't help but scoff silently.

“Whatever!" Venom said under his breath as he walked towards the door and closed it hardly.

“Ahhh! that boy," Falcon sighed as he lay back on the bed.

Meanwhile, in my room, l was resting in my room when someone opened the door. The figure walked towards me and sat beside my bed.

"Ari," The figure called my name and l opened my eyes slowly revealing Lina.

“How are you feeling now?" Lina asked me.

"I just need to take a little rest." I replied.

"Okay, I'll give you some time, so I'll come back later," Lina said, standing up. As she walked towards the door,l spoke up.

"But..." I started and Lina looked at me with raised eyebrow

"What?" Lina asked.

"I'm hungry," l replied with a pout, and Lina smiled widely.

"Don't worry, I'll get you something to eat."

"Okay, thanks, bestie," l appreciated.

"Yeah, I'll be back," Lina said as she walked out the door.

I laid back on her bed, as my mind drifted back to the incident that happened during my wedding.

Are people after my life? What do they want from me? I couldn't help but ask myself questions.

Even if I run away willingly or get kidnapped, Falcon will still find me, so I think it's time for me to stop running and accept my fate willingly.

The next morning, Falcon was sitting in his office when a knock was heard on the door, the door opened revealing Venom who entered.

"Morning, boss," Venom greeted, sitting down in front of Falcon.

"Any update?" Falcon asked.

"Not really, but aren't you going to visit Ari?" Venom questioned, and Falcon raised an eyebrow.

"Wow, so direct," Falcon replied sarcastically.

"What I meant was that shouldn't you at least visit her today since you didn't even check up on her yesterday," Venom continued, and Falcon smiled inwardly.

"So you mean I shouldn't rest because of a girl?" Falcon asked sarcastically, and Venom looked confused.

"No, what I meant was that she isn't well, and you should at least have some time to see her," Venom replied with concern, and Falcon's expression turned serious.

"You know, Venom, if you care so much about Ari, why don't you just marry her?" Falcon suggested, and Venom thought he was joking, but Falcon's expression said otherwise.

"No, I didn't mean I care..."

"I was just joking," Falcon said, laughing, and Venom was shocked.

WTF! Venom said inwardly.

“You should have seen your face, it was really funny,” Falcon said in between the laugh and Venom just continued looking at him while replying.

Falcon stopped laughing and his face turned back to a serious expression. "Let's go!" Falcon stood up and walked towards the door.

"Where to?" Venom asked, standing up.

"To Ari's room, of course, or don't you want to see her again,” Falcon replied in sarcasm.

Venom raised his eyebrow. "Hey, that wasn't what I..."

"Whatever! Let's just go," Falcon left the room.

"So crazy," Venom sighed, following him.

As l and Lina continued talking in my room, someone entered without knocking.

"Falcon?" I asked in surprise because he didn't come to see me yesterday, so why now?

"Stand up!" Falcon ordered, walking towards me.

"Why?" I questioned.

"Because you'll be starting your training now," Falcon replied with a straight face.

Venom looked at him with raised eyebrows. "But you didn't tell me that this was what you meant by visiting Ari," Venom said, and Falcon replied, "It slipped my mind, but at least you know now."

Falcon faced me. "Why are you still sitting? Let's go!" he ordered.

"What training are you talking about?" I asked

"And besides, she isn't strong enough for any training." Lina added

"So what? Will you just sit here until someone else kidnaps you?!" Falcon yelled. "Or do you think Dragon was playing when he kidnapped you?" Falcon yelled again.

"No, that wasn't what I meant," l replied, trying to clarify.

Falcon looked at me. "Okay, change your clothes, and Lina should bring you to my training room. I'll be waiting." He ordered, and without for a response he turned to leave, then turned back

"Venom, follow me!" he called out, exiting the room. Venom faced me,"Don't mind him," Venom told her, then left the room.

"Come on, let's get you dressed," Lina said, leading me to my closet.
As we entered, l wondered what the training could be and why Falcon was being so pushy.
