Emotions
Falcon's mind was consumed by my words as he left my suite. The doubt I cast on my father's involvement in my sale gnawed at him. He couldn't shake off the feeling that there was more to the story.
As he entered his office, Venom greeted him with a nod. "How's Ari doing, Boss? She's recovering well, I hope?"
Falcon's expression turned grim. "She's recovering, but she's not convinced her father sold her to me. She thinks there's more to the story."
Venom raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean? What did she say exactly?"
Falcon hesitated before sharing my doubts about my father's signature. "She said she won't believe it until she sees the evidence. She thinks her father would never sell her like that."
Venom listened intently, his expression thoughtful. "I think we should show her the evidence, Boss. Let her see the truth for herself. It's the only way she'll trust us."
Falcon nodded in agreement. "You're right. Let's do it. I'll get the documents from the archives."
Later that afternoon, Falcon and Venom arrived at my suite, evidence in hand. I looked stronger, my eyes sparkling with determination. Falcon handed me the documents, his eyes locked onto mine. "This is the proof you wanted, Ari. The deal your father made with mine twenty years ago. It's all here - the signatures, the witnesses, everything."
My eyes scanned the pages, my expression crumbling as I read. I looked heartbroken, but a sense of acceptance washed over me. "It's true," I whispered. "My father did sell me. I can't believe it."
Falcon's expression softened. "I'm sorry, Ari. I know this isn't easy for you."
I took a deep breath, my eyes flashing with determination. "I'll accept my fate. But I won't go down without a fight. I'll make the best of this situation, no matter what."
Venom nodded in approval. "That's the spirit, Ari. We'll support you every step of the way."
Falcon's eyes locked onto mine, a fierce intensity burning within them. "We'll protect you, Ari."
Meanwhile, Stormy was putting the final touches on her plan, unaware that Falcon and his team were closing in on her.
The wedding was just a week away, and she was ready to strike. But Falcon was one step ahead, his eyes fixed on Stormy with a fierce intensity.
"We'll stop you, Stormy. No matter what it takes. You won't hurt Ari or anyone else in our clan.”
Three days later, I walked through the opulent halls of the Mafia clan's headquarters, my heels clicking on the marble floor. I had been trying my best to adapt to my new life, but it wasn't easy. The rules, the protocols, the constant danger - it was overwhelming.
Falcon, the Mafia boss, had been distant since my recovery. Cold, even. I couldn't understand why. I had thought we had a connection, but now he barely spoke to me.
"Ari, you need to be careful," Venom, Falcon's right-hand man, said as he walked beside me. "There are those who don't want you here. Who doesn't think you're worthy of being part of this clan."
I nodded, my eyes scanning the room. "I know. But I'm trying my best to prove myself."
Venom's expression softened. "I know you are. Just remember, Falcon is a complex person. Don't take his behavior personally."
I raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
Venom hesitated before speaking. "Let's just say Falcon has a lot on his plate. He's under a lot of pressure, and sometimes that pressure boils over."
I nodded, unsure if I believed Venom's explanation. I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Falcon's behavior towards me.
As we approached Falcon's office, I could feel his eyes on me. I turned to see him standing in the doorway, his expression unreadable. "Venom, we need to talk business," he said, his voice cold.
Venom nodded and followed Falcon into the office, leaving me alone. As I walked away, I couldn't help but wonder - what was behind Falcon's icy exterior?
Some hours later, I decided to confront Falcon about his distant behavior. I found him in his office, staring out the window. "Falcon, can I talk to you?" I asked, my voice firm but gentle.
I started calling Falcon by his name and not ‘Boss’ two days ago, because we will soon be married and Falcon on the other hand did not complain, although, at first he was surprised.
He turned to me, his expression unreadable. "What is it, Ari?"
"You've been distant since my recovery," I said, my eyes locked on his. "Is everything okay?"
Falcon shrugged. "I'm just busy, that's all."
I didn't believe him. I knew there was more to it. "Falcon, please," I said, taking a step closer. "Tell me what's going on. Is it something I did?"
Falcon's expression softened slightly, but he still didn't meet my eyes. "Ari, I...," he started, then stopped. "Just drop it, okay?"
I felt a pang of frustration. Why was he shutting me out? "Fine," I said, turning to leave. "But know this - I'm not going to give up on you, Falcon. I care about you, and I want to help."
Falcon's eyes flickered, and for a moment, I thought I saw a glimmer of emotion. But then, his mask slipped back into place. "Get out, Ari," he growled.
I walked out of Falcon's office, tears streaming down my face. I couldn't believe the man I was supposed to marry was treating me like this. I felt heartbroken and trapped.
As I walked back to my room, I couldn't help but think about my life before the clan. I missed my friends and my younger sister, Sophia. "Why did I ever agree to this?" I sobbed, collapsing onto my bed.
Just then, there was a knock at the door. It was Lina, one of the clan members who had become a friend to me. "Ari, I heard what happened," Lina said, concern etched on her face. "I'm so sorry."
I shook my head, feeling a fresh wave of tears. "I just can't believe it, Lina. I thought Falcon was different. But he's just like all the others."
Lina sat down beside me, putting a comforting arm around my shoulders. "Ari, you deserve so much better than this. Why don't you just confront him? Tell him how you feel?"
I looked at her, incredulous. "Confront him? Are you kidding me? He's the boss, Lina. He won't listen to me."
Lina sighed. "You're right. I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking."
I wiped my tears away, feeling a sense of determination. "No, Lina. I need to do something. I need to take control of my life."
Lina looked at me, a hint of a smile on her face. "That's the spirit, Ari. Now, let's think of a plan..."
But I was already standing up, my mind made up. "I've had enough of plans, Lina. I'm going to confront him, and I'm going to tell him exactly what I think."
I stormed out of my room, determined to confront Falcon once and for all. I marched into his officeI apologize for the mistake. Here is the rewritten part in first person point of view:
I stormed out of my room, determined to confront Falcon once and for all. I marched into his office, my head held high, and my eyes blazing with anger. Falcon looked up from his desk, a hint of amusement on his face.
"Well, well, well. Look what we have here. The little bride-to-be has finally found her backbone."
My eyes narrowed. "You know, Falcon, I've had enough of your condescending attitude. I'm not some fragile little flower that you can push around."
Falcon chuckled. "Oh, I'm shaking in my boots."
My face turned red with rage. "You know what? I've had enough of this conversation. And I've had enough of you."
And with that, I turned on my heel and walked out of the office, leaving Falcon looking like a stunned fish. As I walked away, I could hear Falcon's voice behind me.
"You know, Ari, you're going to make a great wife. You've already mastered the art of slamming doors."
I rolled my eyes and muttered under my breath. "I'm going to kill him."
I had finally found my courage and stood up to Falcon, but I knew this wasn't the end of our confrontation. I was determined to take control of my life and make Falcon understand that I wouldn't be treated like a pawn in his game.
