SAY MY NAME

It was past seven o'clock when we arrived at his condo, which was also next to the unit I moved into yesterday. I don't know if destiny was just teasing me or if I'm really being cheated on.
This Levi told me to buy a coffee and snacks when we arrived at his unit, so I quickly headed to Sebastian’s cafe. He didn't say what snacks he wanted so I just chose the pastries that were in his cafe.
“That's too much. For whom?" Seb asked me while preparing my purchases and even our coffee.
"To my boss," I replied sparingly. I heard his smile.
“What’s that, over time? It’s about eight o’clock, ah,” he laughed and asked me again so I just frowned.
He handed me the things I bought as well as those two coffees.
"I'll just deliver it, then go home."
That was the last thing I told him and I said goodbye to go back to his condo.
When I got into the elevator I was even more surprised when I saw Jaxon. He's wearing a brown t-shirt and black pants and rubber shoes. We were both even more surprised when we saw each other.
“Rae! It's you. Where are you going?" he asked me when the elevator closed.
"Let me help you," he added and took the paper bag I was holding. I only have those two coffees left.
I just smiled at him. "Where are you going? Do you live here, too? ” I asked him in surprise.
“A, no. I will just go somewhere. Which floor are you on?” he asked while still staring at me. It was as if he was going to melt me.
I avoided looking at him because I was really taken aback by the way he looked at me. I’m not intimidated, but his way of staring at me is different. Or maybe I'm just not used to having someone stare at me like this.
"32nd floor," I replied sparingly to him.
He smiled again and pressed the button. "Okay, 32nd floor," he said. His face is full of playfulness.
When we got to the 32nd floor, he was still following me so I hurried to that man’s unit. When I opened the door, his furrowed forehead was immediately exposed to me.
“What took you so long? I’m so hungry,” he said irritably to me so I couldn’t stop myself from staring at him.
I turned my gaze to Jaxon to pick up what I had sent him but my forehead furrowed when I saw him smiling at Levi.
"Why don't you eat sensibly," he said and passed me. I just followed him with the look that gave Levi a big hug.
I was just looking at the two of them. I was just pissed when Levi suddenly turned to me. As far as I remember, Jaxon is also an employee at Acuzar Empire. Are they related?
“How’d you get here?” Levi asked him and motioned for me to close the door.
I could still feel him holding my elbow and guiding me into the kitchen to prepare our food, while he was talking to Jaxon.
“I helped her, and I know her. We had lunch together earlier,” I heard Jaxon answer his question.
I no longer looked at them because I was busy preparing food. Eventually, I could feel Jaxon suddenly come to my side and help with what I was doing.
"She's my secretary," I heard Levi say so I was stunned.
He already knows that, fool!
"Yeah, I know," Jaxon uttered and paused a second. It turned to me and snorted.
“I thought you came home earlier. I can’t wait for you because I’m in a hurry,” he told me softly so I just shrugged.
I handed him a saucer with only a slice of cake.
"All right. This building is also my unit. Just close to the company,” I told him and smiled at him.
I noticed that Jaxon had something more to say when Levi sneezed again so I looked at him. It looks sharp on me and the person next to me.
“You can leave now, Jaxon. We still have a lot to do,” he told the man emphatically, but his sharp gaze was still on me so I raised an eyebrow at him.
What is his problem?
“You’re still rude, Levi. Don't be jealous of me, we're cousins. I'll stay here for a while,” he said teasingly to Levi so I almost laughed.
Ah, they're cousins.
I saw him stare at the emptiness so I smiled even more. His expression darkens and raised a brow at me. He didn't say a word again and went back to his study table. He seems to have been sorting out the paperwork for a while, while Jaxon is still following me. Asking too many questions.
“Have you met before? Why does it seem like yes,” Jaxon asked me while we were sitting at the sofa? He had cooked popcorn earlier so he turned on the TV as well.
“No. We just met— ”
“Really, huh? Do you want me to tell him how we met a week ago?” I heard Levi answer so I almost threw popcorn at him because of what he said.
I quickly turned to him and looked at him badly.
“I’m not talking to you, bro. There’s an obstacle here,” Jaxon teased him and something else was signaled in front of him.
I just heard Levi's crunchy murmur on his cousin so I just stared at him.
“Don't answer. So, where is your unit? Where do you really live?” he asked me again so I laughed.
I just shook my head and answered his question. Compared to Levi, Jaxon is more jolly and personality. It was whiter than him but they were just the same height. His hair was a bit long in the front, unlike Levi's. In fairness in their genes, nothing really infamous. Even the shape of their bodies is the same. These are terrible!
A few more minutes passed when I decided to go home because this man had nothing to do with me. Maybe he just really needs a companion now. He should have just said that right away.
I took my bag and then told Jaxon that I'll be leaving he was talking on his cell phone. When I turned to Levi, his attention was still focused on what he was doing. To this day he is still working.
“Do you still want me to do something else? If none, I'll go home,” I said goodbye to him, which caught his attention.
He tilted his head to look at me. He drank coffee for a while still looking at me and then stood up.
"Let's go," he told me sparingly.
I frowned and raised a brow at him.
"Huh?"
“I will take you. Let’s go,” he said softly and seemingly tiredly to me again.
I stared at him for a while before shrugging and leaving his unit first. My unit is just at the end, why does he have to take me?
He was silent as we walked. I could only hear the sound of my sandals and shoes and his occasional sigh. When we approached my unit I confronted him.
He looked so tired. His eyes are already bulging and red as well. He ran his hand through his hair for a while and then sneezed.
“I’ll see you tomorrow. Rest well,” he told me softly and looked at me intently.
I saw him look down at my chest again so I was pissed. I took off my coat because I was getting hot.
"Please stop wearing that kind of blouse," he almost whispered and glanced at me again.
I lightly pressed the coat I was holding on my chest and turned my back on him.
"I'm going in."
“Wait, Astraea...” he called me softly. I felt his grip on my wrist which made me look at him. I waited for what he would say.
His expression hardened. He seemed to be struggling and wondering if he would say what was on his mind or not. Hearing him saying my name softly gives me chills.
I heave a sigh.
“You should rest, Sir Levi—”
“No. Don’t call me sir. ”
"Then, what should I call you?" I asked him. I could feel his grip on my wrist tightening so I let it go.
His eyes widened as he looked at me. I saw how his adam’s apple moved while clenching his jaw. I could also feel the gentle caress of his thumb on my hand.
“Just call me by my name. I want to hear your voice while saying my name. We didn’t even know each other’s names back then,” he said meaningfully to me so I pushed him away.
I knew what he meant so I almost cussed at him. I could feel the warmth on my cheek.
Levi just laughed so I went inside.
