NOT JUST MY SECRETARY
We arrived on time at our destination. When I got out of Jaxon's car, Levi got out of his car and looked at me badly. Earlier, I forced Jaxon to go with me even though he told me several times. Hoseah came down next and suddenly her gaze focused on me so I just shrugged.
"It's a pool party, Rae. Do you have a swimsuit?" Jaxon asked me as I immediately looked at him.
"Huh? Why? I thought it was really just a party?" I asked him in surprise and turned my gaze to the huge house in front of us.
Compared to Casa de Acuzar it’s a bit smaller, but it’s still staggering for our poor.
"You're too innocent, darling," I heard someone whisper to me. The next thing I felt was his breath on my neck so I quickly turned my gaze to him.
I quickly walked away from him when our lips almost met. I immediately looked at Jaxon who just laughed then approached Hoseah.
"Stop calling me darling. I don't want trouble," I told him emphatically that I almost whispered to him because his girlfriend might hear me.
He laughed. I could feel him caressing my hands gently as he grabbed it and then looked at me seriously.
"No one owns me anymore but you, Rae. Why don't you trust me this time, huh? Also, don't get too close to Jaxon if you don't want my cousin and me to break each other's face," he said in his baritone voice.
He seemed serious but why do I get this feeling that this isn't right? If then I let myself do that wrong thing, now I have control over what is right. But why do I still seem to prefer that wrong?
"Are we clear?" he added I blinked twice.
Before I could answer, my eyes widened as he quickly kissed me on the lips. After he did that he looked at me intently and bit his lower lip while smiling.
My eyes rolled because of what he was doing to seduce me. I could feel the heat rising all over my face so I couldn’t help but bite my lower lip out of embarrassment and nervousness.
I heard laughter again.
"Shit, Rae. Why are you innocent even in the simplest of things? You look even more beautiful in my eyes," he added teasingly so I felt even more ashamed of myself.
I simply kicked him which made him laugh out loud so we both looked at each other. Levi guided me into the house while he was still holding my elbow. He was whispering something in the air while he was grinning at me so I just nailed it.
"So, you're the new secretary. Is flirting with your boss still part of your job?" I heard Hoseah ask sarcastically so I stopped walking.
I also saw Levi and Jaxon stop and turn to look at the woman. It grinned at me and looked at me from head to toe as it crossed its arms. It's like she's insulting me by the way she looks at me. But in fairness to her, her classy and sophisticated womanhood still screams even though she behaves like that.
"Stop it, Hoseah. Astraea is not just my secretary," Levi told her emphatically.
I looked at him. Irritation and anger were evident in his eyes and face as he looked at the woman. As if he was disgusted or something. As if it wasn't just because of what was happening now, he couldn't afford to look at this woman. I don’t know what happened to the two of them after he left me in that place, but as far as I can see it wasn’t that good and didn't help them both.
I saw her eyebrow rose and she stared blankly before turning to me again.
"What? Did I say something wrong? It's obvious. Very opportunistic," she uttered. Her expression hardened while still staring at me.
Before Levi and Jaxon could answer I interrupted them both. I heave a sigh and just shrugged my shoulder.
"You're jealous, I can feel that. I am Sir Levi's secretary, yes, but I am not an opportunist. If you think I'm robbing you, it's not my problem anymore, Ma'am," I simply said to her, emphasizing the word' ma'am '.
I saw the shock in their eyes so I turned my back on them all. I'm a saint, yes, but I know how to fight. I already know this. These are the scenes I used to write. I know how to handle this kind of situation. If she thinks I'm competing against her, let her fight while I'm not doing anything to get the person she's trying to get back from me.
When I finally got inside, I felt Levi by my side so I looked at him. I saw his smile again so I stared at him. I know his head is growing again because of what I said earlier.
"There you are! I thought none of you would come." We were greeted by a tall woman who almost looked like her so I stared at her.
Her loose hair follows her every move. White and smooth, but not the color of the eyes. She has brown eyes while Levi has blue eyes. She was wearing a black see-through dress and I could see she was wearing a white two-piece swimsuit inside.
"Congratulations! I knew you would make it to the top," Levi said to her and gave her a hug.
"Practice always makes it perfect," she said softly to the man before turning around.
"Oh! Is she the one you're telling us about?" she asked Levi while still looking at me so I smiled awkwardly.
"Don't scare her, Celine," Levi said to her while smirking.
"Nice to finally meet you, Astraea Lumiere. I'm Celine, Levi's cousin from my mother's side. Good, you come along. I've always wanted to meet you," she greeted me happy so my smile widened especially when she kissed me.
Like her cousin, it is also fragrant. She knows something based on what she said. Has he ever told me stories about his cousins? Or just here with Celine because when Jaxon and I first met he didn't say anything to me.
"Celine! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you, really," Hoseah replied then simply pushed me away from Celine so I ran into Jaxon's chest.
Everyone saw that especially Levi because he quickly approached me and pushed me toward his side. I was just pissed when I saw he looked badly at Jaxon who just nodded while smiling.
"Thank you for coming, Hoseah. I wouldn't have bothered you anymore, I thought you were busy," I heard Celine say to her and glanced at me then smiled.
"Don't mind it, Celine. I'm still welcome here, right? After all, we are still working on our relationship. Right, Lev?" she confidently uttered then looked at Levi.
"Stop insisting on impossible things, Hoseah," the man lazily told her.
I saw the pain in her eyes so I looked away from her. Everyone was silent for a moment before Celine approached me and pulled me away from the three of them.
"Do you have your swimwear on packed?" she suddenly asked.
I frowned at her and shook my head.
"Oh, I didn't bring anything because I just got back from work. Is that really necessary?" I asked her. I heard her laugh as we crossed the garden of the house.
"My god! It’s true what Levi said, that you’re still young and innocent. Anyway, I have a pool party tonight with the Acuzar and I invited you. All our cousins are here. Don't worry, we're all harmless," she excitedly told me and then guided me to enter the mansion.
When we entered, I was exposed to the pure glass furniture of the house. Even its walls and stairs are glass. I could also hear screams and laughter at the far end so my guess was it was all there.
"Don’t be shy. You will be a family too... oh, never mind that," she said while smiling at me like a dog.
I haven't done anything because she might say I'm feeling special.
